  1. So cynical for one so young .
  2. I have only a slightly better chance of a ticket as I arrive 8.30 am Thursday. Be straight to the stadium to see if any left. When I called the ticket office on Friday to enquire about tickets I was told the Icelanders offered 160. No idea what had changed. I assume you can only but one ticket? I know it's not motherwells fault but there will be fans miss out on a ticket that have not missed a match in ages, just because they arrive a bit early. Not exactly rewarding loyalty
  3. The Icelanders never brough tickets with them so they will he on sale at their ground to away fans. I believe there is at least 160 available
  4. I'd assume it's a pick up over there. Not enough time to post them out now. As of 3 pm Wednesday the ticket office has no clue as to cost, amount of tickets or when they would get them. Is assume they will now have info at hand
  5. Maybe some of the betting channels?
  6. Hope they have brought the tickets for the away leg with them because, as of 3 pm today the ticket office had no idea the cost, how many we are getting or even when. If they have not brought the tickets over it does not leave much time to post them out
  7. I'm not convinced it will be just down to the cost of a ticket that will keep fans away. Holidays, family commitments, not very attractive opposition as much as cost of ticket will not help with crowd.Conservatively, if I decide to go to the game it will cost me about £300. So a tenner cheaper ticket won't be swaying me. On the plus side I can save £5.95 by collecting new top instead of getting it posted.
  8. I think any score to nil would be good. A decent lead would be great but any lead with them not scoring would be ok by me
  9. I'll take your word for that
  10. Young ladies take their guys there and "pleasure" them . Hence the locals referring to it as the sperm bank. I hear it's good for the complexion
  11. Just remember what the locals nickname it
  12. I think I paid £161. Seem to be a few on these flights. Worth organising a minibus rather than hang about waiting on the bus? Be quicker getting to Reykjavik, assuming we are all staying there
  13. Anyone still thinking of going there are fights available out of Manchester Thursday to Sunday £ 218.
  14. From a travel and financial point of view Bangor would have been much better. But from a tourist and party point of view Reykjavik wins. Any young ( or oldish) free and single guy will have a ball. There are about 5 women to every guy and all stunning. They are also, to quote and Icelandic guy I met on a fight, " very liberal". Nobody sleeps in Reykjavik at the weekend. So if you're going stay over Friday and Saturday. Many great touristy things to do in between also.
  15. If the bet comes up he doesn't go to Iceland I assume
  16. Has the next round been ( provisionally) drawn? I know the dates are 31 July and 8th august, have home and way been decided too?
  17. I assume not exactly shorts and t-shirt weather when you were there
  18. How can they announce kick off time when game has not been finalised? I'm on same flights from Manchester but staying until Sunday. I have a mate who went to Tokyo to watch scotland play and was there less than 36 hours
  19. Going to be a long day so maybe I'll join you for a cappacino. How are you getting to Manchester?
  20. I'm staying here. Www.hlemmursquare.com . It's really central to Reykjavik, cheap and it gets good reviews
  21. I'm on this back on Sunday but as I live 8 minutes from Manchester airport it's a taxi for me
  22. You do know what the locals nickname the blue lagoon? Anyway as far as going out for a wee drive. Let me know. Would cost about £30 each if three of us but that would get a car for all day Saturday to see some sights and transport back to airport for flight on Sunday. I'm ok with driving as I won't be drinking much
  23. Last time I was there with scotland we hired a car. It's pity to go to such a great place do nothing but sit in a pub and go to game. I realise some people are " time poor" so might only be there for a day but anyone there for two days or longer should really try and see something other than bars. In saying that rekjavik at the weekend is party town. But no reason why you can't do some sight seeing as well as party, and of course watch football
