  1. Grezlak is pretty much on the same deal as you guys have on Ruddy..1 year loan with option to buy and activate a 3 yeer old contract. He was recomended by his countryman Golansky our right winger.

He looks poised and skillfull with the ball but i think that he will not be kept into the squad...because he is described like a "life loving" guy by the greek media. That type of sht (intentional typo) wont fly at Steaua. Basicly he will be renewed if we fail to sign Ciprian Tanase, a left/centre midder that is starter for the national team and is also only 21 year old..with some obvious skill:)

Send him our way if you don't want him! You could have our second choice goalie if you want....

  2. Fair comment. But none are over 30 and much as I like Lasley, not convinced he will be a first 11 pick when the season starts. Don't think Fitzpatrick will feature much either although still have loads of time for him just for 'that' goal against Hearts alone.

Has Dailly been fixed up anywhere yet? We could do a lot worse if we could afford him?

  3. or perhaps sign both? that's all i'm saying. i'm not critiscing gannon at all i just think the squad is still a long way to go from being of the required standard but i'm sure gannon feels the same way and he's got til the end of august to bring players in.

i'm afraid i just can't put blind faith in a manager we know very little about. we had a dice with oblivion under malpas so for me the jury's out til i see what he puts on the park come the start of the season.

Exactly. No criticism of Gannon or the players we've signed here. Would just like to see some experience to go with the younger guys. I have no doubt Gannon is looking for exactly that but half decent experienced players are no doubt harder to sign. The average age of the team at the minute is very young (and even younger minus Craigan!).

  4. i'm not saying that these signings won't work out well, i really hope they do. i'm just saying we'll be taking a big risk if we go into the season with the players we currently have and a few more along the lines of coke who are young and taking a step up. i don't think it's unreasonable to expect that we replace the seven experienced players we've lost with two or three more established signings.

Have to agree with this. Much as I am delighted at the transfer market activity, would feel much more positive about the forthcoming season with a couple of experienced players who we pretty much know will do a good job for us. Last time we brought in a huge influx of players Mr Kampmann was in charge and some of them were pish. Not that I think the 3 we have signed so far will be. We just don't know what we've got.

  5. I like the fact that he talks about bringing in more players within 48 hours or so. Of course, we want them to be good players, but it's a refreshing change from last summer's inactivity.

Seconded. Actions speak louder than words and all that.

Meanwhile over at Aberdeen, MM has a couple of targets identified. He continues to work on a couple of things and has a couple of irons in the fire. Love it.

  6. Used to live near Northampton and have been in touch with some mates down there. Seems we might have got ourselves a bit of a player. Fair to say they ain't happy we've got him. They are indeed 'fizzing' Melvin. :whistling:

  7. It's a non-story. Slow news day where the Ugly Sisters are concerned, so they have to fill their pages with some kind of nonsense.

It's standard procedure for it to take a couple of days to process visas, especially when it involves large groups, so no conspiracy there.

Only question is why Flamurtari didn't send there paperwork in before last Friday, given that they would have known there opponents the previous Friday, and their address in the UK by early last week, once they had confirmed their travelling arrangements.

Are you based in Albania. Don't suppose you know if the game is on the TV over there??!

  8. Think some people on here have been out in the sun too long. Agreed that both the h**s and Sellic will be poor/boring, but have no doubt they will still finish 20 points ahead of the rest. Much as it pains me to say it, the only team that looks like they could split them is Hearts, depending on the quality of some of the unknowns they have signed.

Dundee United will have another comfortable season - 4th or 5th at best. They are miles behind the Old Scum though and have some key players (Spanish striker for a start) out injured.

Hibs have signed dross and cast offs. Surprised they didn't keep Rosas who looked like a player against us at Easter Road. Out of our price range?? With Riordan they do have a quality player though who will score and create goals.

Aberdeen - really hope they have a god awful season after the state MM left us in. Like others on here though I suspect he will improve the form of a lot of their underperforming but half decent players. Hope they get relegated right enough.

Falkirk/St Mirren/Killie likely to be safe. Nothing more, nothing less. Killie will definately stay up if they keep Kyle who had a great end to the season.

Hamilton are the ones to struggle for me. Just lost the traitor who was well on his way to being a very very good player. They have also lost a good left back, 2 half decent strikers and might lose their other decent midfielder.

Us? God only knows. Would take safety right now although with the heart ruling the head, will dare to dream of better things - perhaps top 6 and a decent cup run. As it stands though, we must have one of the thinest squads and will have to sign another 5 players at least. Keeper, right back, (big) centre half, creative midfielder and at least one striker. I don't think for a second we will not make a number of additions to the squad before the big kick off, but if we didn't we would be relegation material.

    In Gannon we trust!

  9. Would be delighted if he did stay. Great player and one less space to fill. Hearts are apparently looking elsewhere which no doubt means they'll have signed him by the end of the week.

Or maybe the h**s will be looking for a cut price replacement for wee bazza?
