  1. Any news of whether this game will be televised? Our wasn't but we streamed it ourselves using the clubs internet. Hope your team have been practising on a dodgy 3G pitch somewhere in preparation.!
  2. More like down jacket an hand warmers. HONESTLY - it's feckin freezing! A few other points picking up on various things I've read on here: Transport from Airport A bus leaves the airport for Reykjavik about 40 minutes after every flight arrives. The cost is about 2400 krona. You can book the return via your hotel usually. Taxis cost in the region of £80-£100. We were lucky in that the club organised for a coach to meet the majority of us at the airport. Beer (the important bit!!) There is NO bar at the ground itself. They do have a supporters bar located a 10-15 minute walk (or stagger) from the ground. In Reykjavik itself we used the Dubliner pub. He dropped the prices for us to 500 krona a pint (about £2.50). Had a great time in there and highly recommended. Reykjavik is expensive for just about everything unless you look around. It also NEVER goes dark. Bright light in the beer garden at midnight was slightly strange. And finally...... did I mention it's bloody freezing there but Bangor are going to win 5-0 anyway?
  3. Yes, I went out there. From my position the seats certainly looked full. The ground is so open on 3 sides that I'm sure a vantage point could be found from outside as well.
  4. Should have a pre-season friendly!
  5. Yes, 1000 is the maximum as game has to be all seated.
  6. But just in case: Bus route from the airport goes right past the ground (50 metres away) Bus Number 1 from Reykjavik takes you to the ground. The ground only holds 1000 and we were given 80 tickets. I heard a rumour that the next round MAY be moved to the national stadium
  7. You do realise that the famous Bangor City FC are going to win 5-0 on Thursday?
  8. Just had a look at the Wrexham website and they actually have a friendly booked at home on July 23rd. As any game with ourselves wouldn't take place until the 24th it may be a possibility
  9. The problem is that there is nowhere to move it to. The only bigger ground in North Wales (or even north of the M4) is the Glyndwr University Stadium in Wrexham - which currently has no pitch! Anyway, we've got to get past these pesky Icelanders first. If you end up in Iceland their ground only holds 1000 as well.
  10. Hard to judge what our chances are. We are seeded but they will be 11 games into their season by the time we play them so will be much more "match sharp". I'd imagine if we did get through that you would be given more tickets than the UEFA minimum. The ground is about to be developed to put more seats in but obviously not in time for this game.
  11. I think the UEFA rules are that the away club has to be given a minimum of 5% of the ground, which would mean a minimum of 50 tickets! Not sure on the game moving to Chester. As they are in a different country it would need dispensation from UEFA. However Chester's ground is partially in Wales as it straddles the border. Their main offices at the ground are in Wales.
  12. Morning all. Hopefully a match between Bangor and yourselves coming up soon. Capacity at Bangor's stadium is 1090 for European matches as they have to be all-seated. In the past "big" games have been moved to Wrexham's stadium (capacity approx 11,000) but there is no chance of that this year (if we get through) as Wrexham are having a new pitch laid at the moment with the seed only going down this week.
