Depends what you mean by notable. A quick check on out of contract players will throw up a load of pretty well known names though none are likely to be realistic for us I'd think.

Nice database thanks. Aye as you said likely alot of the notable guys on this list will be outwith our reach. Really think we need something extra up front so fingers crossed we pull one from left field, i won't hold my breath.

Off the back of the McGhee conference is anyone aware of any notable strikers that are available on a free contract? Racking my brain but can't think of any.

I think this is must not lose, if we lose this the pressure is going to mount big time.

I would drop Johnstone for Ainsworth due to recent form, difficult one in midfield but I think we need to give Lasley a rest. Gomis was far away the best player on the park on Saturday, although Pearson wasn't great I think Lasley and Gomis are too similar we need Pearson's legs in there.

Gomis is a brilliant signing and makes sense for both parties with them bringing Cowie in. We really need a striker before this shuts tonight unless there are any free agents that are fit. I don't think an extended deal for Faddy will suffice, we really that and another.

Why Samson, competent back up keeper?

I don't believe we need both Twardzik and Samson, only really need 2 senior keepers on the books. Get rid of one, don't really care which one but I would assume Samson is on bigger wages.

As everyone has said McGhee got the team all wrong, I still maintain the player's need to take their half of the blame as well. The reaction on social media has been a bit much though. We have been lacking depth in midfield for some time and the result was Saturday. We need to get shot of Chalmers, Robinson, Samson & Clarkson ASAP. Total waste of wages. On a separate point, I'd like to see Cadden and other youth given more game time rather than Dom Thomas. Whilst Thomas hasn't been given a lot of game time I think he has had more than most and recently hasn't impressed. Doesn't seem to be living up to his early appearances for us.

Keen to see Ainsworth back in the team, I think we could see a reaction from him after being out the side. As long as he does as McGhee says and tracks back consistently I think we could get something from this game. I'm hoping McGhee avoids playing Laing in the middle of the park ala the Celtic game at home, hopefully Cadden or one of the younger guys is given a chance along side Pearson.

Very unfortunate. His performances have improved dramtically under McGhee. Word is he is going to Preston. We need 2 for the midfield ASAP. Leitch isn't good enough, not seen enough of Cadden to form an opinion.
