Devine was good but Spittal for me though sellik fans will select Butcher....he was great for them
-
Gutted as we lost to a poor sellik side with support who yet again wreck the away end. Butcher their best player but substitution has to be made as Casey was struggling. Lads effort outstanding show same v Livi and we will be fine... keep the faith folks

Raging!!!. Match report later after I have calmed doon

I hope we can produce a memorable victory. We need to get in their faces and not allow them time on the ball. I want the Bair to make himself a legend

Heard a rumour that if Obika plays 37 minutes and wins two headers against Celtic he automatically gets a contract extension until May 2026.
But don’t tell anybody.
If it's 2 headers that actually get us 3pts I might actually accept that 😂😂😂

If Livi had held on would have been a decent day

I am a WS member but don't pay a lot monthly as can't afford big monthly investment. Would be happy to increase now but I need assurances it would improve club. If WS can't keep us sustainable then an investor would interest me but that's for another day

Kettlewell has a dressing room behind him..... Alexander certainly didn't, a very unlikeable character and old news....in SK we trust
-
. After Alexander getting that disastrous 3 1/2 yr extension a few years back I think we have all be on edge with contracts. Personally I have no issue with SK having an extra year. H clearly has a dressing room backing him though admittedly results on pitch need to improve

This is a critical issue, so its time for a new thread.
The Society has just sent out an email containing a provisional vote. Have all members received it?
Yup and voted

He's not been playing for St Johnstone recently. Or on the bench.
I assumed he is injured.
If injured then that fits our signing policy perfectly 😜😜

Must be doing the rounds. I'm not sure how anyone could honestly believe the manager was unaware his contract had been extended.
If Kettlewell was unaware his contract has been extended I would have serious concerns about him managing our team. Just been bad communication by club

It's a no strings attached contract.
Do you not mean a no hamstrings attached contract? 😜😜

yes grizzly but being a "fan owned club" it was a BIG mistake, and one that really shouldnt happen, jesus even if we are run by a bowling green club committe then even they wouldv put it up on there notice board, amatuerish at best
Just hope to feck Obika hasn't triggered a 4 yr extension!!

Who is Dan Philips?
Plays with St Johnstone, midfielder, tenacious and decent

I thought there were a few moaners on here but jeez Facebook is worse. Negative.com
Had to bite my tongue......or maybe fingers as typing involved

Looks like Dan Phillips will be a free agent at the end of the season. I think he is the kind of player that we need to just sit in front of our defence and offer better protection than what we have now.
Yup I am with you on that one. Impressed any time I saw him

The club made a mistake with the communication, they have now rectified it, we move on
Not quite sure why 2 confused emojis appear....now I am confused....lol
I literally mean we get back to focussing on the pitch and hopefully a memorable victory on Sunday ( cue lots of more confused emojis) 😜😜😜

Great post mate - just wanted to reiterate this point. There's essentially no status quo option, there's the two investment options as well as the Society undertaking its own study & producing its own strategy, while simultaneously rolling out workstreams to target five key areas (communications, fundraising, membership, governance & events - more information should be shared with members in tomorrow's newsletter). I think we can all agree that there's a ceiling to the kind of growth & income the Society can generate, and what that is is clearly open to debate, but there is a refreshed desire to seriously looking at reaching that ceiling going forward, and, thanks to the board's renewed makeup, there's a majority of folk on there now keen to make sure that happens.
No Status Quo option? I just hope that doesn't lead to relegation and we go Down Down!!...... sorry folks 😜😜

1 year since SK took over
PL 47.......W 18. D 15. L 14
I know folk will disagree but actually that isn't too bad a record. Yes grounds for improvement required but overall is doing a decent job and I feel learning from his mistakes. Time will tell obviously but also he seems to have players and staff wanting to play for him which makes such a difference as anyone that saw Ross Co a fortnight ago would confirm.

It doesn’t. If it was in the thinking, club would’ve absorbed the cost.
Would leave us short though if we then brought a new manager in. I still have faith in SK though, still learning the ropes and making mistakes but all managers do

Yup this was news to me also about SK contract until my mate told me. That might explain why he never got sacked in December as we can't afford to

Some loan deals been good but this is another waste. He probably realised his game time limited when Gent came off at weekend and replaced with a right back playing on the left.... SOD

Feel team will need freshened up after yesterday but no idea how. If Casey not fit I would start Blaney ahead of Butcher. Maybe start SOD ahead of young Devine who was knackered at end of game
