Just off the phone with Dundee Utd, they apologised for Darren Jackson's equaliser in the 91 cup final and Billy McKinley being a wee dick, they offered me Jim McLean's toupee, the key to Dundee and a wham bar.
That phone call, same as Robbo's boy's, didn't happen.I am also off the phone to Utd as they had heard about my jokes and asked if I could be compere at their Hall Of Fame event in December. I said No as my loyalty is to the Well and I also have a booking at the Hydro that night!! Lol

We simply don’t have enough quality players at our disposal within the squad but hammell must use what player options he has wisely . Spittal is a non entity and offers nothing defensively, creates nothing and runs( sorry jogs) like he is running in quick sand . Given penny is one of our best attacking options why not play sod at left back and push penny further up the pitch on the left. . Cornelius also has to play purely based on his energy and willingness to show for the ball and he actually gives a shit.
On academy players being given a chance I don’t understand where they all are over the past few years. I get the 16 year olds aren’t ready but where are the 19/20/21 year olds that were coached under Hammells stewardship as academy director - all very strange - not one good enough out of 60 plus ?
Totally agree about Spittal pace (or lack of). Also what happened to young Spiers? Appears from nowhere against St Mirren away and never been seen since

If we had won yesterday it would have been full of praise and we will definitely be challenging top 6. We lose and it's a crisis. Watching highlights and KVV's 2 missed chances were ones that if they go in changes complexion of game. Fine margins plus goals we are conceding are criminal. Mcginn been a steady 7/10 but I would happily have SOD back and would even consider mcginn at CB with lamie as Sol just gives me the fear. Beat Utd and it's a happy forum again. COYW

Yep some of the talk about Hammell is crazy, we are on a bad run though our last 4 league games we have lost by 1 goal, yep still a defeat but not getting pumped. No way do I regret us binning Alexander, can you imagine the atmosphere if he was still here. Hammell needs time and January huge as he needs to bring in good players as some in that starting line up are in my opinion simply not good enough. Sol may be good with a megaphone but is so limited on the pitch and only slighter faster than ojala which says it all. Spittal shows odd parts of skill but hee haw pace. Van Veen needs a strike partner cos as lone striker it's pointless as work rate not there, never got in front of Aberdeen defender once, we also have no one in that side that can cross a ball, every one doesn't pass first defender or goes way over everyone. We are on a bad run but can't start turning against the team, we need to get behind them . COYW

Also I've been critical of sod in the past, but is he any worse or better than mcginn? Maybe cos he's no played for a while he's got better in my mind
Mcginn honking for 2nd goal but been solid for us, however fact we cant find place for guy with 25 caps bewilders me
-
Very frustrating day and genuinely worried as we have hard set of fixtures. We need guys giving their all and sorry..and just my opinion but van Veen is not a guy that will sweat blood for the cause, tota lazy arse attitude and fact he had rant at Penney says it all. Yes I know he has 10 goals and of course can't be dropped mainly cos no one challenging for jersey. However he needs rocket up the proverbial

Looking for some advice. I'm having to go to and leave the game from a totally different direction from normal (for me) today. Is there roadworks/congestion on the northbound M74 junction at the Clyde Bridge. Where is the best place to park for access to Airbles Road? Thanks.
Be careful with airbles road as only 1 lane from roundabout to cemetery, could be busy after match......"grizzlyg.....eye in the sky"

Does anybody truly believe that every time we play the uglies the players and management start with the"right lads we're not going to beat this mob today, so take it easy and don't worry " attitude? For me that's utter bollocks , Hammell's comment for me were referring to playing ability and they are all true, Celtic in particular are many levels above us, financially, playing ability, coaching etc and as harsh as it sounds we are nowhere near them. Yes every team is beatable and we have done that on many occasions but the players want to win every game and on most occasions against them that's not possible as they have better players than us and always will have.
As long as the uglies are spending tens of millions each year to dominate domestic football in Scotland the other teams start each season playing for 3rd and that situation will never change. So I can't see why people are getting stressed about last night we were ripped a new one by a far superior team, who in all honesty should have scored a few more goals as i said previously our season is never defined by results against the uglies anything we get is a bonus, but the other 9 teams are our targets, 3rd place best of the rest finish, Euro qualification, and a bit of luck in cup draws would be nice.
Hear ye pal and appreciate where you are coming from. I just feel there was no need to make the comment. And I am one who has been singing Hammy's praises since he took over.
Ps. In other news I have heard that a Watford Manager now lasts longer in a job than a PM......ba boom
-
Yep quite annoyed with Hammy and his comments, of course it's a hard ask but if you have that attitude then what is the point of us turning up for OF games, maybe he can refund me my £22 seeing as we obviously were never going to win.
-
I remember all the negativity before game at pittodrie and look what happened.
Depends who we have available but I wouldn't have shields starting and Van Veen needs to be up for this game, can't have the jogging round pitch without care in world attitude that he produces at times.
I would even be tempted with 3-5-2 with Mcginn moving in one and SOD at right wing back. The guy has 25 caps for Scotland in similar role so can't be as bad as a lot of people make him out to be.

Watched highlights and taking nothing away from Sellik as there is no denying they are an excellent side but what I can't accept are the cheap goals we keep conceding.
1) Shields not tracking the run of Taylor, his tracking back is as good as his ability to cross a ball!!
2) good finish from Abada but bizarre punch from Kelly for 1st save, but Kelly keeps us in games almost every week so odd mistake will happen
3) good skill by Hatate but Lamies attempt at tackling him shocking but again another player who has been playing well most weeks
4) words fail me so not even worth discussing
-
Penney has been a great signing, we actually have a proper left back after enduring Carroll and McGinley before that though I must stress I feel for them with their injury problems, I just don't rate them as players and wish them a speedy recovery
-
I still believe in Hammell and certainly no way do I feel we are worse off than when Alexander was in charge. It was always going to be a long term project. What is costing us big time just now is the basics which some players seem incapable of doing. I think fact the past 2 games have been against 2 teams I absolutely detest haven't helped my mood.
-
First of all Sellik are a class above so result didn't surprise me and the manner of goals we are now conceding is an absolute joke. We really need to start picking up points and quickly and there are players out there that need to up their game.. Slattery totally off form just now, Shields just runs about and doesn't actually do much and I know this will upset some as they think he is the messiah and I of course know of his goals tally but KVV really needs to start looking interested instead of just lumbering about the pitch at half pace. We need someone pushing for his place to keep him on his toes. COYW

Relieved Lamie fit and happy seeing Spittal in for Morris. Shields doesn't inspire me but hope he can prove me wrong, wee last minute winner Connor would be nice...COYW
