A strange time to be changing manager but it had to be doen for various reasons. We are where we are. In recent times, the club has taken its time to make appointments but on this occasion we can't afford to take too long as it will be important to give the new man time to sign a couple of players before the window closes on 1 September. I would say then a couple weeks. Apart from new faces especially up front I think the new manager will have to get more out of the squad than GA did. I think we do have some decent players at the club but they have to be played in the right way.
None of the names mentioned so far excite me and I've never been one to think because someone has been in a coaching role at a big English club automatically means they'd be a great catch. However, you never can tell. At our level, appointments are a gamble. Our club has a reputation for appointing someone unexpected.
Can't disagree with any of that pal. I just hope the board can make the right decision, I don't want even to think about the possibility of Robbo, that for me would be even worse than when McGhee returned.
I hope the fans get behind the new manager and give them a chance. I wasn't a fan of Alexander from about March onwards but I never gave him abuse at games which sadly some of our fans done, very uncomfortable to witness and not what I want to see at Fir Park.
I have been going to Fir park for 45 years and some of the behaviour I have witnessed in past few months was really OTT, personal abuse, "yer clueless", "away home", "nobody likes you". Honestly the stick my mates gave me for telling jokes at the games was unbelievable!! LOL. COYW

I just want to see a team out there today that will give it their all and can give us the victory. And to all fans going to the game, let's get behind the team in the correct manner and create an atmosphere that will spur them on. Been too much negativity in past few days. Let's all get together and hopefully the forum later will be full of joy .... COYW

Hearing the abuse shouted at Alexander when he was giving his post-match interview was really embarrassing. I thought he sounded a bit shaken. I don't care what the industry is, no one should have to go to their job and get shouted and sworn at, no matter what you think of them. He's human and deserves a basic level of respect and anyone who thinks it's okay to address someone else in that manner in any circumstances should take a long hard look at themselves.
Between someone grabbing the mic off him and the disgraceful 'only sing in the chapel' song from first leg there is a small minority of our support whose behaviour really is an embarrassment, however it shouldn't over shadow the majority of decent fans who are able to voice their opinion in a civilised manner. Tomorrow let's all get the behind the management and players and hopefully celebrate a league win against buddies.... altogether now....come on yeeee welllllllllll

What about Barry Ferguson with Bob Malcolm as his assistant? I’m sure they are free agents having previously worked together at Kelty Hearts.
Not that I’d want it but it could happen.
Jeez no

I also don't think it's Kelly looking for a move, he is just angry at a manager he likes leaving. If (and it's a big if) that those were his choice of words then it isn't clever. There are fans out there that are total clowns, some of the shouts and abuse are shocking. However I can only speak for myself, apart from the bad jokes I like to think I am constructive in any criticism of a player or manager. Kelly is best keeper we have had since Randolph and should be next Scotland no.1. However, don't tar all fans with the same brush as the ones that are nutters...COYW

I think the last person anyone should be having a go at is Kelly.
I having a go at his comments, certainly not him as a player. If we hadn't signed him on loan that time we would have been in championship. However if that is his view about Alexander leaving it is harsh in the fans (apart from the ones that go over the score)

I sincerely hope you are right.
My former work colleague is a buddies fan and would be ecstatic if we moved for Robbo, buddies fans don't rate him

Also Liam tell that to the fans that travelled to Sligo to witness that performance, and maybe also question your own self at your positioning for their 1st goal

I think the point being made is not that the fans had some kind of insight or inside knowledge about the manager needed to be removed but rather they appeared to recognise that things just couldn’t go on the way they were and that the manager had to be removed.
On a related point, the Daily Rancid has an alleged interview with Liam Kelly in which he says that he spoke to Graham Alexander about his leaving. He said the main reason the manager left was because he “felt the toxicity levels directed towards him from the fans weren’t fair on us as players and him and his family.”
Reading between the lines I would not be one bit surprised if Kelly put in a transfer request. He does come across as being really pissed at Alexander leaving.
Sorry Liam but maybe if the players put in more effort, especially in last 2 games the fans wouldn't have been as angry. Alexander caused the problems,. Yes there are fans that go over the score which is totally unacceptable but the majority of us are decent die hard fans who have been very loyal and paid a lot of money over the years....COYW

And if Robbo is seriously being considered then it's good news for my mates as my season ticket will be getting handed back. Why on earth would we make a move for a guy that left us in relegation trouble, signed a fair amount of dross and since then had Morecambe nearly relegated and is doing nothing at St Mirren apart from sign anyone with a well connection. Let's just remember what happened when Burrows brought his pal McGhee back. Nah not for me

Big Yogi would have been an option say 5 years ago but if we went for him now it would be a massive boo boo.....lol
