Both Celtic and Rangers fans are just as bad as each other in that sense. I have a friend who is a Rangers fan who thinks the old firm game is the biggest game in world football and everyone in Scotland is seriously interested in it. The fans of those two hold their respective clubs in such high regard that they genuinely think the fans of all the other clubs secretly support them or the other side as well. As for Dalglish commenting on Turnbull being a Celtic fan he was no doubt advised by someone in the media that this was the case.

Thought John Spencer would go on to have a bigger impact than he eventually did. I remember when we made his loan spell permanent there was a lot of media attention surrounding it. He did a decent job but out of him and Brannan at the time Brannan was the more consistent of the two.

Remember when I heard we had signed Sasa Curcic thinking we had made a good signing after his spell at Villa

Kenny Dalglish giving us a good write up as a club in this article. https://www.nottheoldfirm.com/news/liverpool-icon-sir-kenny-dalglish-hails-motherwells-business-model/

The 'Magnificent' David Turnbull Discussion Thread

Gutted to see David leave us. My wish now is the money from the sale is invested wisely which I am sure it will be and hopefully the gaffer gets some cash to spend as it must be gutting losing your best players every time you think you are getting somewhere. -
Definetly, if we want top 6 we should be aiming for two away wins against Livingston and Hamilton. Need a striker who will get at least 15/20 goals this season.
-
Sure that is about 4 out of the last 6 seasons at least
-
No chance of a decent crowd travelling up for that one.
-
Livingston away on the 3rd of August followed by what could be a tasty first home game against Celtic on the 10th of August especially if the Turnbull deal goes through.

Norwich would have been an ideal move for him, he will need to hit the ground running to win over that mob if the deal goes through. Will be glad when this whole saga is over tbh and we can get on with concentrating on the new season. -

Astounding indeed, you would expect nothing less from them but. So laughable, both them and their friends across the city do think the world revolves round them. -

Definetly, the fact that all their followers cant believe that anyone would knock back the Selik makes the whole thing even funnier for me. -

Totally agree about this, in years to come I will look back and say I was more entertained getting to two finals than I was say scraping in the top 6. The football under Robinson is no worse than it was in McCall's last year or so or McGhee's second spell. On the subject of Turnbull I will be gutted to see him go but definetly not in a position to turn this money down. Just a pity it is Celtic. -
Reinvest more in the youth set up and also some improvements to the John Hunter or O'Donnell stand.
-
Hopefully we don't even consider this, don't think we will to be fair.
-
I have a feeling we will have a positive season as well next year, if we pick up points on a regular basis like we did from January onwards I see us definetly being top 6 this year.

Thought Turnbull would have definetly been in. Will benefit us but when the new season starts. -
4 years today since we did this, What a night

Definetly, like the game Moult scored a double at Hampden, pity Hibs never got through lol. We have come close on a few occasions. That game we played Celtic when Corrigan passed it back with minutes to go is one that sticks in my head. Remember thinking if we had got through we would have beat Dunfermline that year. Also the one Clarkson missed the sitter that could have put us 3-1 up was another close one. That was an enjoyable run that year. Always remember the Faddy goal against Clyde. -
I don't the mind the group format at all Would rather play 4 guaranteed cup games at the start of the season than say 1 or 2 and the rest meaningless friendlies. Would be in favour of scrapping the North/South sections but and just make it that anyone can draw anyone

And despite all of this everyone in the media had us written off as going down. It was very satisfying taking 6 off this mob over two games when all you heard in the build up was that they would be back in the league the next season, and old firm games would be back etc. One of my biggest disappointments of the last 10/15 years following the Well is we have never lifted any silverware in that period of time despite having some very consistent sides. I would swap some of the league victories we have had over Celtic or Rangers, such as Skippy Sunday or some of the other games mentioned just to beat them in a final or two but until we do we can always remember games like those games and the enjoyment we had. -

Remember this one well, along with the 3-2 game against them not long after that when Goodman got the winner. Fir Park was bouncing that night. -

Any game beating either of the Glasgow two are worth a watch over and over again. Also remember the 3-1 cup game against Hearts. Sure it was Goram's debut and was a live Sky game. Played so great that night and was convinced we could go on and win the cup that year. -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JLuEk5TVZ4 I seen a notification on facebook earlier that it was 4 years ago tonight we done this. What a game, and one of my favourite games ever so had to watch the highlights. There is a lot of Well games kicking about on Youtube thankfully but got me thinking about Well games I would like to see again but hard to find them and havent seen them in years. Some of my personal favourites I havent seen for a while The 2-1 game against Celtic at Fir Park when Shaun Fagan and James McFadden scored. Was buzzing that night and recently looked to find it, Faddy was outstanding that night. The 1-0 game against Rangers on Boxing Day the same year, I had it on VHS at one point. You can get the McFadden goal somewhere on youtube but would love to see the whole game. Also remember the 2-0 game against Rangers under Billy Davies, the Twaddle goal is somwhere online but thats about it. Know there are quite a few others I have forgot about it and will remember soon. Does anyone have any other personal favourites they would like to see again and hopefully someone somewhere will upload them at some point.
