With mchugh out, I wouldn't be against giving Alan Campbell a shot in the middle of the park, I thought he was excellent against accies, plenty of energy, applied himself really well, steaming into every tackle without hesitation, kept the ball well....something we have missed all season.

Not sure if it's being mentioned yet but with rangers down to 10 men and us controlling the game, chalmers injury should have been the chance to go for throat and go with frear. I actually don't think mcmillan done much wrong but he's a left back, far too negative.

With regards to Craigan im sure he was offered the job full time between Mccall and baraclough but came out and said that as this moment in time he wasn't intrested in full time mamagement with his involvement in NI and his punditry work....saying that craigan lasley faddy and hammell is surely the dream management team for any fan so hopefully he wants the job eventually.

Nathan Thomas seems to have really hit the ground running for Hartlepool, I remember there being a lot of unhappy Plymouth fans when he left as well, I'm sure his problem though was his attitude ? Anyway, banging in goals for fun now....every Hartlepool goal of month contender belongs to him

Has anyone noticed in the pictures Craig foy posted on twitter yesterday of the squad training, right at the front appears to be Craig Moore ?

I too think Craig clay looked good, wasn't wasteful with the ball, done what you'd expect a player in that position too....you also have to remember that it's not a pre season friendly, there is actually something at stake so trialists can't afford to try and show off, they have to play for the team and the 3 points, so that said....good 'debut' and hopefully see more against a better opposition on Saturday.

I don't think the pricing is an issue, if we never had these games then we would be playing friendlies in there place and the ticket prices would be more or less the same so on that front it's six and half a dozen, with the added benefit of watch competitive football as oppose to meaningless kick abouts.

So it looks as though rangers are going to be without Barton on Saturday, and are most definitely without Jordan rossiter. Whether they'do both start who knows but that can only work in our favour.

I actually think the hibs game might be quite decent considering we are playing rangers 5 days later, you will most likely see a strong 11 from both sides with hibs European games on the horizon as well

After having a look on twitter, there appears to be a lot of rangers fans boycotting the cup game as a "get it up ye" for the club statement regarding fixtures against the old firm, I'm neither here nor there with the fixtures, we will survive just fine either way but it looks as though the extra few quid we would have got from the cup fixture is up the shitter now as well.

If the rumours of kranjcar signing are true then I honestly don't see a way of us containing him and Barton. If buts and maybe, other than that I'm remaining positive as most have said they won a very poor league comfortably, I'd expect Marvin Johnson to give tavernier a torrid time.

Usually against the suggestion of re singing old players but hutchy is one that I'd jump at, he would put his head through a brick wall for the the cause but it won't be happening any time soon, he will easily get another club down south and will no doubt be linked with rangers not to mention that we couldn't get close to his wages.
