  1. I'd feel more comfortable with Carl at the back for this one I think. Doubt Robbo will do that though, I'd imagine it'll be Hammell LCB. In which case it's definitely gotta be Tait on the left flank for me, as Frear wouldn't provide enough cover (not saying Tait doesn't get caught out at the wrong end of the park but he's slightly more defensively sound). I'd 100% be sticking with Bowman up top with Moult though, I don't think we should change to accommodate them with the form we're in at the minute. We've looked far more effective with them up there together.
  2. Sounds from Robbo's pre-match interview like Frear will probably miss out, only had a day's training. Sid may be available for selection subject to his international clearance finally coming through.
  3. Alex Rae and Darren Jackson are up there for me too, deplorable characters, the pair of them. As for the game though, seems like a lot of people are saying "would take a point". I'm far from expecting a win, but it's not one of those games where if I could choose beforehand to take a point and move on I'd take it. I'm feeling pretty confident about us going to Easter Road - didn't think I'd be saying that a couple of months ago!
  4. I rushed to get a bet on the game after I seen the lineup was looking strong and featuring a few senior players, to realise I was about 20 minutes too late and we were already 2-0 up. Some good signs in the highlights from Sid, Fisher and Tanner. Did give away a few good chances at the other end by the look of things as well though. Still it's great to see the U20's sat at the top of the table, and hearing young Livingstone saying that they want to win the league and do some damage in the youth cup makes me think Craggs is gonna do a fine job with the youngsters.
  5. I do like "the Lithuanian boy" but Sid makes perfect sense and is a bit quicker to say. Not to get too carried away from watching the highlights of an U20's game but he did look fast as lightning!
  6. First post on here after being fascinated with the rebuild thread all summer, haha. Given he's been known to play at right back as well as centre mid, where do folks see Grimshaw being primarily used? I don't think he's the tallest, but you can sometimes afford one centre half that's not quite as strong in the air in a back three - could he be deployed there potentially? (I can't really remember too much of him playing here the first time round). If not then maybe he could be used as cover at right wing back if Tait gets injured or is switched to the left. Otherwise, within the current formation, he's not really offering us the versatility that's been billed. It'd definitely be harsh on Campbell if he was to come straight in ahead of him in the pecking order for a central midfield berth, but that's where I'm guessing he'll be slotting in once fully fit.
