  1. You should have stopped typing after the 5th word
  2. Mate? Do I know you? As for making my mind up on Turnbull...I think you've shot your bolt a wee bit too early on that one.
  3. He scored a penalty and then a tap in with minutes to go when Accies were chasing an equaliser Its the first time Ive seen the boy play 90mins and thought he was poor
  4. I'm the same...anytime I've seen Accies play well, he has been their catalyst. He might be going through a bad spell, but there is a player in there. Who wouldn't struggle to look pure shite in that Accies team?
  5. Watched the under20s game last night and was keen to see how Turnbull played, and left disappointed. None of the players on view covered themselves in glory, despite the scoreline, in particular we defended incredibly poorly and our goalkeeper was easily the man of the match.
  6. Ross County and Accies can gtf please
  7. Cracking night to be fair...really well put together
  8. My cousin has one of them and couldn't coach a dug tae do a shite...
  9. I'm not quite sure why you are still harping on about Louis Moult...we lost him in the transfer window, because that made complete business sense to do so, however replacing him at that point was always going to be a hugely difficult task as the January window is a chronically bad time to be replacing your best player. Curtis Main has come in and done a decent job, hes an upgrade on Bowman but doesnt look like he'll be that talismanic goalscorer that Moult was. I'd bet my last quid, that Robinson, Lasley, Burrows and our scouting team are fully aware of the importance of upgrading our current forwards in the Summer transfer window. I'm not really interested in what happened prior to Robinson being here (antecedents is a belter of a word though), I'm interested in where we are going now, and in the 12months or so that the current manager has been in charge we have improved as a club, on the field (you should fire up the stats for all competitions and not just the league, if you want to be fair to the manager, but I know you wont do that) and off the field. Thats not fantasy, its self-evident. I've been a supporter of the Club for quite a few years as well, and I'm looking forward to further improvements (and there needs to be further improvements) in season 2018/19, rather than worrying about whats gone and in the past.
  10. I dare say that the Manager and those in charge of the Club know that there are big improvements required, both in terms of how we play and in our overall league form. However, when you look at it completely rationally, and without the use of statistics (because statistics can be manipulated for whatever argument you want to impose on others), this season can only be described as being a successful one, both on and off the park. The manager has completely overhauled our playing squad, he has brought in a lot of players, not all will be a success when you're bringing so many new bodies in, but we now have a squad that has some very sellable assets. From the disaster that he took over, to where we are just now, I don't know how anyone can say that he hasn't done a good job, and if he continues the improvement into next season then, next season will be a cracker.
  11. Hanley will be in the squad if he is available...I doubt Aldred will be in Ecks plans
  12. The Weans boxing training (which is one of my reasons for hating Friday night games) was off and they coaxed me into it...nae tartan on show, but we sang that Doh-a-deer song that you taught me the words to
  13. I was at Hampden on Friday night with a similar attendance to what we can expect for the semi-final and the atmosphere was as flat as a pancake...Hampden only works well when its full. Its an utter disgrace that they are playing this game there rather than Easter Road or Tynecastle
  14. I went up to the pre-season friendly against Stirling Albion and for me only two players really stuck out that day...MacLean and Kipre. One has kicked on and made a name for himself, the other has kicked his heels in the stand most weeks. I'm not sure why that is, but I'd imagine Onthefringes will have the inside knowledge on that one.
  15. After repeatedly watching the incident on TV footage, i'm amazed at anyone jumping to the referees defence...even that uber-cunt Rodgers was almost embarrassed for his captain, almost. I hear that its £500 to put an appeal in...it'll be money well spent to highlight what Brown and Thompson are; a pair of cheating bastards.
  16. Allan Campbell...outstanding playing up against that horrible bastard in the middle for them. Carson and Tait were also excellent
  17. Might be a chance for Bigirimana to be more influential
  18. Tanner out for this one...and for the forseeable future. Having an operation thats going to rule him out for up to 6months
  19. Wasn't fussed who we got, Killie and Aberdeen both good teams but both definitely beatable in a Cup semi-final...starting to look forward to it now
  20. How could I have forgot about ZFA?? Whether Jules, Straker, Chalmers were stop-gaps or not, is neither here, nor there...if they were up to replacing Hammell, chances are they'd still be at the club.
  21. I just have a hunch that hes not good enough...listening to Accies fans who were perplexed by his move to WHU, the reviews he got while at Blackburn and Southend, watching him in the warm-ups and the fact that he has hardly kicked a ball for us while we play a right-back on our left hand-side. I might be wrong, and I generally dont judge players quickly, but i just have a feeling that he isnt up to it.
  22. Back to the drawing board in the Summer no doubt...we've a great history of very good left-backs, but our recent history would make your heart break...Jules, Chalmers, Straker...Hendrie??
