yep, different ref and it does happen all the time but they are surely all refereeing to the same rules, its not meant to be subjective. if mugabe had been an old firm player , he wouldn't have walked, that's the frustration. people saying he didn't need to challenge are the same ones who give players pelters for not challenging...its a split second decision, I am sure he regrets going In now , but still say he's unlucky, hes not a dirty player.

I've only seen from behind the goal at the game but that was my question, would he have given same v glasgow twins? seems to be 50/50 whether it was a red but in the first minute , would a yellow have been outrageous?

maybe time is playing tricks on me, but I don't think the football was as bad under Robbo...you're right , it got us to 2 cup finals , if we get to semi final next week, that'll make things look a lot better . yep, I don't like the fans turning on the team and it does breed fear....but the football is as bad as I can remember...the only certainty is we lose possession. Alexander doesn't seem to address these issues in interviews , would be good to know what long term plans are , in terms of football or is it just slugging it out every week.

I wasn't just having a go at odonnel, all 3 of the full backs are poor. mugabe , has some credit , but he is prone to the occasional switch off , on balance I'd rather have him at full back

if you were seeing odonnel for first time, would you say he's a potential captain/ International, no ...me neither. At some point he must've showed something to get into International set up, but its not been at Motherwell. Time to give a chance to full backs who can defend , occasionally put crosses in. Not asking for Danny mcgrain or Joe wark, just guys who will do the basics.

We aren't going to agree on penalty but I think the fact he has kept hold of player is why Beaton gave pen, it vouldve gone either way, so our beef should be with Carroll, not Beaton....why not just run with player...he seems fast, that's probably why he's making a ,Iving as a footballer, can't see what other qualities. Yep, I have banged on about that but it's these fine lines and making good decisions that can get us points, there's so little between all the teams bar old firm and hearts.

As you say , surely there are young guys at the club who will put a tackle in and get forward to out a cross in..odonnel and the two left backs just don't have it.

Carroll is wrong side again and grabbed him , so it is a foul...it was too close to line to give Beaton a decision to make.

I might be wrong here but if the initial foul is outside but carries on inside, it is a pen? I will stand corrected if wrong. Carroll shouldve let him go, it was a lazy tackle and it was a foul.

if Carroll was half decent I would give him the benefit of doubt, I am watching the stream , the initial foul is outside but he keeps a hold of him , so not the worst decision I've seen Beaton make

On balance McGinlay is better but we have championship full backs and fortunately a goalie on top of his game
