  1. I honestly think some were too quick to push the panic button with Robbo,  I was a fan
The run we are on at present is arguably worse than anything Robbo did,  he got us to two cup finals which is still one of my best seasons following the Well , and of course the third placed finish
Also beating Rangers at Hampden the day Moult scored twice is one of my greatest days following the Well,  plus the mess he inherited when McGhee had left

The players let Robinson down but at the end of the day he’s the one who signs them, he’s held his hands up to that.
  2. If they've lumbered us with a manager we can't afford to get rid of - no matter what - their hands should be cuffed, not tied. But I don't believe that can actually be the case.
To casual observers, Alexander getting us into the top 6 makes it look like they've absolutely no decision to make, but anyone watching this stuff, week in/week out, knows that shouldn't be the case. I'm sure it's already been decided, though.

It’s not that I think we can’t sack him because of the extension but it definitely plays a part in the process.

I seriously hope that they’re meeting with him tomorrow and offering a win or bust scenario for next week.

The board may feel getting us into the top 6 has earned Alexander the chance to improve the squad in the summer, but does anyone on here really believe he can be trusted to do that, given he doesn't seem to have a problem with this current mob?

He wouldn’t have survived St Johnstone if it wasn’t for the board giving him a new deal in January.
A deal which seemed merited at the time but has backfired horrifically.

    Their hands are now tied.

  4. And appoint who, most of the other candidates are bottom six managers

I have more faith in us getting the decision right if we do it now than waiting until December when the job is less attractive.
  5. Expectations have to change as the season goes on. We were comfortably sitting 4th up against the worst standard the league has seen in years at the turn of the year.

Form since then has been unacceptable and there would be definite justification if the board decided to sack him.

  6. We had to go for it at half time and didn’t. We’ve conceded the most goals of any team in the league since the turn of the year, being over reliant on our defence when we really didn’t need to be was an absolute killer today and has been for the past 4 months.
