Absolutely this! I can't think of any other club that overdoses on sentimentality quite like us, including the arse-cheeks. The "bring back brigade", strip designs linked with the past, naming of stands and the annual 91 wankfest give me the boak to be honest. Moult will always have a place in our hearts, but his days of playing at the level we require are over. Keep sentiment to watching repeats of Dad's Army.

Renewing becomes a more difficult decision for me year on year. I don't love the club any less than I used to, and I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it, I just don't get the same buzz. I'm not sure if this is an age thing (been doing the renewal thing for 40 odd years) or because how football has changed for the worse over the years, but Saturday for me now is more about meeting the mates and having a beer and a laugh than it is the football. If/when I do renew, it'll be more of a habit thing anything to do with my appetite for another season. I'm some laugh at a party by the way.

Tin hat time (do we still say that?). I definitely don't want to knock McKinstry, and I'm sure he knows better than anyone, but there are still many flaws to his game, ball retention and decision amongst the most obvious. He's still learning his trade after all. Without doubt he is an exciting prospect, but at this stage of the season, the position we find ourselves in and the formation we have adapted, the bench seems the right place for him at the moment... And provides the management team with an excellent attacking option if and when required.

I'm hoping it doesn't take as long as the 2 years it dragged on for me... And I certainly hope it works it out better for HIM, because I ended up not getting the role permanently 😅

Despite the relative immaturity of the wide defensive areas, I'm a lot more confident with the centre these days. I actually find Hearts to be predictable in both attack and defence, hopefully we can exploit that. I personally think that their 3rd place has as much to do with everyone else being shite to mediocre as it does to their capability. Cue an absolute roasting with centre half calamities 🤔

Hopefully the singing kettle will keep us on the boil until the next permanent manager is appointed. If he keeps picking up points, then he could well be that man. Those expecting any form of silky-football between now and the end of the season may want to find a new wee hobby to keep them busy on match days. Obviously way too early to tag Danzaki with the shite stick... As for O'Donnell, Goss and (especially) Slattery they have been atrocious for months. The latter's performance against St Johnstone was amongst the worst 45 minutes I've ever witnessed in a Well strip, and the former is a happy-sub, a wage thief and a coward. Goss isn't worth the effort of typing.

Bobby Park remains the man for me. Why? Because he is a master-multi-tasker, knows the club inside out, can take care of the grass (freeing up another wage), and knows how to handle misbehaving kids like Gobby Goss and Slasher Slattery. If Bobby doesn't get the gig then I'll be cancelling my Well Society Membership, Season Ticket and Stone Island Loyalty Card.

Would be fair to assume there's a new agenda item.

I'd give it to Goss and Slattery with the understanding that they cannot pick themselves.

The club has been run by enthusiastic amateurs for years. This now includes the manager. Enthusiasm over ability has been leading us here for some time now, and I can't see how we get out of it either at a managerial or board level.
