  1. We have this perverse system in Scottish football where if a player get's it wrong/makes a mistake , and the Officials miss it , they can be dealt with retrospectively and be punished with a ban from games and/or fined.

Can this same rule not apply to Officials who get it wrong/make a mistake. Can they not be banned from Officiating for a few games or be fined?

In the absence of video replays/referees this might stop clowns like Thomson rushing into making decisions that will pander to the masses!!

  2. The biggest help we could get is for local people to start supporting their local team (and a successful one at that) !!

How many people leave Motherwell and other Towns and Cities in Scotland to watch the 'Old Scum' ??

We all know however that the bigger draw for most people is to jump on the religious/media bandwagon and support whichever side of the 'Old Firm' their school or family upbringing dictates!

Until we get rid of the religious divide in Scotland (Mainly the West/Central area) nothing will change.

Took me to move away many years ago to realise just how bad it is!!

  3. We'll be lucky to break 100 on Saturday, no buses at all, announced too late for cheap train tickets. Going to be an Albania moment I reckon. :whistling:

5 of us coming from Lincoln

Shame it wasn't confirmed earlier. Could have had a load more!

  4. Doncaster are doing that exact thing just now, wee tour of local non-league teams to kick off their preparations, do it every year I think. Frickley last Sat, Retford I think midweek.

Correct Matt. Most teams do it down here. A good way to support their local teams financially.

A good set up at Retford. My lad played for their under 19s last season and is hoping to play for their reserves this season.

Looking forward to Doncaster on Saturday

  5. As an exile i only get to a couple of games a season so to see us on TV is a massive bonus.

Tonight and the Celtic game have both been a joy to watch and some of the football we play is sublime!

I must admit i feared the worst at the start of the second half tonight when Law didnt reappear.

I needn't have worried as we absolutely destroyed Hibs in the 2nd half and Higginbothams goal was as good a goal as youll see anywhere this season!

Nice to hear McCall commit to his new contract and even if we do lose a couple of key players i have every confidence that he will bring in players who will be more than adequate replacements.

It's a good time to be a Well fan and lets hope we get that 2nd place that we so deserve

  6. Nicky Law has to be one of the most intelligent/gifted midfielders i've ever seen at Fir Park.

The way he checked back onto his right foot for our winner rather than try to cross with his left foot was sublime.

He always plays with his head up looking for options.

Hope we can keep him in the summer :notworthy:

  7. Tonight was the classic 'Rollercoaster' evening as a Well fan.

Lost our previous 2 games that we thought we should have won.

A game tonight that we look at as damage limitation.

We go one up and hopes are up.

They equalise and we all wait for the inevitable onslaught.

We go ahead again and to be fair we deserved it.

The final whistle goes and we all go mental!!!!

The joys of being a Well fan. I wouldnt have it any other way

  8. Officials got 3 decisions MASSIVELY wrong and TV replays proved it!!

Doesn't detract from the fact that if , no matter how pretty our football is at times , we dont convert chances into goals then we will never kill teams off.

Our formation was so much better tonight but it's goals that count!!
