Sounds deid there the night.
I was thinking the same. Almost sounds like they're commentating from the studio!

Not long back from a cracking weekend away.
Special Aka was the perfect host.
Great 3 points and played some decent football. Squeaky bum time for the last 15 mins though.
The away fans were brilliant.
Shame about the local plod taking peoples drink off them at the station on the way back!

That's me off to Spoons for lunch then catching train up to Motherwell.
Tomorrow sounds like it's going to be a good day out!!
-
Ach, no need. Just remember I aint seen a 'Well win for almost 4 years and that was a 1-0 win in Inverness.
Lucky White Heather!

Rafferty
Your memory is better than mine!!
Rafferty was a name i'd forgotten. No nonsense ginger midfielder!!
-
The only stewarts i can remember are Rennie and MacLaren.
Are they still working at the ground??
-
You and Ace can arm wrestle for the other one
That's very generous thank you.
Might be a few beers coming your way.
-
Free ............................ won tickets in a raffle, had a bit of a job convincing them that Motherwell end tickets would be a better option for them
That's a result. Gives you an extra £20 beer money!!

What's the cheapest way to get there by train? I remember in the past a few guys on here managing to get good deals for going up.

Might be a bit late to get a cheap train fare although the Sainsburys offer is a decent price.

Sounds good tae me.
It will be an OF semi to ensure a sell out in one side of the draw. Then come final time they will bank on a "lesser" team being so chuffed to get to the final that they pack the place out.
Cynical?
It's nailed on that the Bigot Brothers will avoid each other in the Semis!!
-
I know it's tempting fate but when is the final?
I might have to save a couple of days annual leave!
Edit: Just found out it's 20th March.

A great win. Well done!!
Let's hope we can build a winning run of the back of these 2 results against Dundee Utd.
-
YEEEEEEESSSSS!!!! Get in!!
-
no online commentry then?
No. Just the BBC txt commentary which is crap.
Sounds like we're under the cosh a bit though.

Get in!!!!

Not any longer than via Glasgow and it saves changes at Perth which are usually drink free and under the beady eyes of the transport dibble.
We're going from Glasgow. See you on the train at Perth.
-
Friends fare is still available from Edinburgh. Makes it a long day but it's cheap.

I hope Inverness away is a good day out.
Got my train tickets booked!!

A lot of good reasoned and sensible points on here.
It's 3 extra games for the Club to pay wages for turnstile operators/programme sellers and whoever else they have to pay on matchdays as well as being 3 extra games for the fans to shell out for.
It's a massive game for the Club and the fans and us reaching the group stages of the Europa League will bring big financial rewards.
I'd rather hear people moaning about prices for this game than just be looking forward to the Hibs game as our first game of the season.
I hope we get a decent result in the first leg and Fir Park is bursting at the seams for the 2nd leg!
-
Kids are the lifeblood of the game, that's why most clubs turned a blind eye when we got lifted over the turnstile years ago.
I remember my dad lifting me over the trunstile at Fir Park and a policeman helping me down at the other end.
We need to make it easier for kids to watch football.
I remember getting lifted over the turnstiles for years as a young kid.
I also remember one of the players (possibly Willie McVie) coming out to the steps at the front of the Main Stand most home games and taking a group of us young kids through the tunnel and into the enclosure in front of the Main Stand.
Must have got a few of us hooked on Motherwell Football Club.

It's on Radio Scotland on Sky channel 0116.
