  1. Ach, let him have his "fun" Pie, he's probably just all stressed out what with his team on the way down and it being Standard Grade exam time.
  2. I used to think the online St. Mirren fans were actually fairly good wind-up merchants, it would appear not! I've never been on a Buddies forum, surely this guy isn't an example of the patter of all Saints fans?!
  3. Cannae agree I'm afraid. Out of the five teams struggling with relegation, I can find positives for all of them remaining in the SPL apart from St. Mirren. Kilmarnock - Good wee day out, decent away ground, Killie pies, plus the majority of the Blue Label Tartan Army are all Killie boys and are all good lads so for they're sake I'd prefer Killie to survive. Hamilton Accies - The derby doesn't mean as much to us as it does to them, but it's still good to have a Shire Derby back. Falkirk - Another decent train day, plus a few jars in Behind The Wall before the free bus to/from the ground! Inverness CT - Cannae beat a good train trip to Inverness, and it's always a cracking day out. St Mirren - Nowt. The rail journey to the ground is too short for a decent train day, their team is dreadful, the new ground is mediocre and the atmosphere is terrible (did their fans even know they were playing in a vital game yesterday!?), they seem to be represented on the internet by a bunch of complete wankers, and they're something of a bogey team for us so the less chance we have of losing points to them next season the better! As far as I can see, from a purely personal point of view, St Mirren offer absolutely nothing more than any other standard First Division pish.
  4. Really good win today, and we played some very good stuff at times - which was undoubtedly helped by a cracking surface! Got to be said though, St Mirren are absolutely dreadful. Can't see them avoiding the drop now, thankfully!
  5. Comedic effect lowered slightly by the spelling of McCarthy, but a good idea nonetheless. Everyone can turn up wearing the football shirt of a country they weren't born or raised in. I tax Swaziland.
  6. Knowing us, we'll be on the verge of getting into Europe up until the final whistle goes against Kilmarnock and an army of neds charges onto the field for the "traditional end of season pitch invasion".
  7. I'd love a trip to Rio for the UEFA Cup. Get yer arse out for a booze tonight ya Yank-wannabe.
  8. Looking forward to the game actually. Would love St Mirren to get relegated, and it would be cracking to play a big part in it.
  9. Haha, cheers - well I'll see what happens! Still hopeful of finding a boozer that's showing the game but isn't full of the scum (I can think of one or two that might fit the bill) but wouldn't rule out a cargo instead! I'll let ye know at some point anyway!
  10. Right, was that in reply tae me!? If so, might actually take ye up on that mate! If not, fuck ye then!
  11. Who's all heading through? Myself and Busta are planning to undertake the ridiculously impossible task of finding a boozer in town not full of Old Scum fans on Saturday afternoon for a booze before the train straight to the ground. Well, it's not impossible if we just go somewhere that isn't actually showing it I guess!
  12. Right, nae tackling for the rest of the season, and any c**t that gets a yellow card for time wasting, diving or dissent gets fined a week's wages. Sorted.

Good stuff. Not decided if I'll pre-order yet or not, but good to know what sizing to expect if I decide to!

    Canterbury

Dunno if this has been asked elsewhere (probably has been) but what's the sizing like on Canterbury kits? Are we going to be looking at skinny-fit efforts, or what?

I'm hoping the club also use this method when it comes to announcing new signings. "Next week in The Steelmen, a nose."
  16. Exactly. If just one player has a blinder and puts himself into contention for the game in Oslo, then it'll have been a success.
  17. Graham Dorrans pulled out of the squad, and there's absolutely no chance we'd get him. He's on the fringes of the first team at West Brom, and has impressed highly in the few appearances he's made. They also paid about £200,000 for him from Livi, there's no reason for them to let him go.
  18. Ice Rink's posts keep the 'Well section of the forums interesting. If I had to change one thing, I'd have the Terminator actually wearing black sunglasses and a leather jacket while he stoats up and down the touchline.

Thankfully not. Seems a pretty pointless argument to me. It's like Patrick Swayze over-coming cancer then catching the flu the following year, and getting pelters for moaning about having a sore throat because "WELL, WOULD YOU RATHER STILL HAVE CANCER!?"
  20. It'll be interesting to see if locals going along to watch the training will actually be allowed to stand.

I've given up criticising McGhee when he says or does something I thinks worth criticising, as it's pretty pointless. Proper debates or differing of opinions are replaced with the masses foaming at the mouth and crying "WELL, DO YOU WANT MALPAS BACK!?!?!?"
  22. Christ, was it that long ago?! I mind it now though, we got humped 4-1 (at Easter Road I believe).
  23. Had a wee look at the story on the official site, which says Hammell was capped by Berti Vogts. If memory serves correctly, wasn't it Tommy Burns who handed Hammell his single cap? Pretty sure it was a friendly against Sweden after Vogts had left, and Burns was caretaker. Not moaning at the official site or anything, just wondering if anyone remembers!

You can make noise and create atmopshere at games without being a wee ned.

    Chants

My favourite chant is the Ice Rink one about John Sutton and the chocolate button.
