  1. There is no fixture for this weekend and I have some friends interested in travelling up to a Motherwell game, I reccomend a Scottish Cup day, home or away would be the best experience for them. Is this weekend a Scottish cup weekend and if it is, will we be involved in that round??

If its an international weekend then im f*cked......

    Any help please??

I don't know what football's on that weekend but I do know that we're not involved in the Scottish Cup until January.

Just looked there, no Motherwell fixture scheduled for the 15th November.

    Sorry mate sad.gif

  2. This. A million times this.

The thunderstorm (which would have caused the game to be abandonned) right after the final whistle was incredible plus Aberdeen had a perfectly good goal disallowed too (the one that crossed the line but the keeper scooped it out). We had Lady Luck on our side that day.

I've always thought that the angle they showed the disallowed goal from was most inconclusive.

  3. Am I the only one who thought craggs was fucking dire last night?

Griffiths should never ever have been given that much space to cross for the first goal. And when the ball approached craigan even he knew what was going to happen...one up in a cup tie, 87th minute - he should have done what he does best and stuck his boot through it but no, he tried to control it with his bollocks and made an arse of it.

Dont get me wrong I like craigan, he has been a great player and ambassador for the club but the fact we are quite heavily relying on him gives me the fear.

I think Craigan is pish most games unsure.gif

I actually feel very uncomfortable when he's on the ball...

  4. section was bouncing again, even after 3-0. Think the atmosphere never really spread due to the section next to us being empty, usually afew folk in there joining in from time to time, seems to make a difference to get the singing going along the stand.

The 2nd last section looked to have a fair few in it to me, looked the same as Inverness and Hearts I thought. smile.gif

I reckon it was just our ineptitude yesterday on the park that stopped it from spreading sad.gif

  5. I thought the atmosphere was certainly an improvement on previous 'Well v Old Firm games.

The Rangers goals did dampen it, but in terms of what it could have been if we had taken the lead, I reckon it would have been brilliant because we were there in healthy numbers and everyone seemed up for it.

Keep it up everyone. I will certainly be there in the Cooper every 2nd week screaming my lungs out cheers.gif

  6. I've contributed but there have been plenty others involved. Mainly a pictorial book, full colour, 200 pages worth but plenty stories from other folk, sections about fashions from the early days until now, rave scene, holiday snaps, everything we could get our hands on that tell a story of our time.

Service Day sold out long ago but there may be a reprint in the offing if this one does well enough.

I think it would be safe to assume that a book of this variety will not be available from official outlets? evilgrin.gif

  7. Is this written by you MJ?

Must say, enjoyed the previous books so I might find this one an interesting read.

Never got hold of Saturday is Service Day so i'll give this one a nosey.

Does anyone have a spare copy of that book by the way? smile.gif

  8. So we have more season ticket holders, because we now give away so many additional ones with each paid one. The result of which is that £10k worth of previously paid for season tickets have now been taken up for nothing. This is good news is it?

    yes

  9. The official website is reporting the season ticket growth this season:

    Official Website Story

We're up 10% on last year and combined with the 13% in 2010/11, then were sure most will agree its definitely in the right direction, even bucking the trend of many other teams in the SPL. However, the club has absorbed a £10,000 deficit as its understood with this the future benefits outweigh the current loss in revenue.

There are now 850 extra season ticket holders than there were 2 years ago.

    All encouraging stuff.

do you have a stand by stand breakdown of where our season ticket holders sit?

Also, how does the number in each stand compare to previous years?

    Just wondering like wink.gif

  10. Aye, another good show yesterday. Look's like things are slowly spreading up the east stand. If yous can infect a vertical row of seats a season with that mentality maybe we'll get songs in the cooper by season 2134/35.

But actually, a bit of perseverance and more folk will join in. Just a shame yous aren't bang smack in the middle of the east stand or suhin.

Apart from the last 2 sections of the East Stand, The Cooper is actually the next best place for a wee singsong imo i-m_so_happy.gif

  11. The 2nd last section do look as if they get involved but it's mostly the last section that starts it.

I think if the main singing group in the last section moved just that one block to their right, it would create a more solid block of singers.

I think that all the usual people who sit/stand in those last 2 sections could fit comfortably into that 2nd last section.

I'd be willing to hazard a guess that there'd be very few season ticket holders in that 2nd last section they could piss off by nicking their seat, but should that happen, then just politely move for the ST holder.

It used to be a couple of years ago that most of them stood in that section, then moved.

As for bringing more colour to Fir Park........I think alot of the people involved could actually start by wearing club colours like they used to a couple of years ago. I think everyone wearing making a point of wearing an amber Motherwell shirt at a Motherwell game looks far better than fancy Pretty Green jackets and white Fila zippers etc

That's not me having a pop guys, I know alot of you are good lads. I just think that these wee things could help massively wink.gif

  12. I actually think a simple thing like moving to the 2nd last section of the East Stand instead of being in the last would help.

I think the general 'singing section' is a bit too cut off from the rest of the fans; It's a decent sized block of fans in the last section, followed by a fairly sparse looking 2nd last section, picking up again at the next section.

Of a 3000 stand, each section must hold over 400 people, so imagine moving back into that 2nd last section and creating a solid block of around 400 singing fans and thus making it easier to spread down the stand and around Fir Park.

I think it would be a solid starting point.

    Hope my points help smile3.gif

    And good luck guys good.gif
