If we are looking for someone to hold the ball up, got to be Erwin. Too often on sat I thought he was trying flick ons rather than getting the ball down onl his chest or feet and playing. I think he's a bit confused and short of confidence at the moment, will come though hopefully

Straker was absolutely fine today, didn't do anything wrong. Grant isn't a wide right midfielder and he did absolutely nothing today. Thought Lasley was decent again without being spectacular, would have liked to have seen more from Pearson but just his presence is making us more balanced. I actually thought ainsworth was fairly positive when he came on, very frustrating though. McDonald first touch and link up play first class, more to come im guessing. Johnson was busy although i don't get the love in for him. Think we have a right back in Law, I have to say I've been converted. Maybe he should have got tighter for their goal but that apart thought he was one of our better players. 2 points lost in the big picture I fear but again, the desire and organisation seem to be there like last week. I really want to like grant but a couple of superb crosses aside he hasn't impressed me in the last 2 games. Isn't a wide midfielder to be fair.

Edit: I also don't think the players like or respect the manager. At one point yesterday he was trying to tell Erwin something yesterday and he was just shrugging his shoulders with an exasperated look on his face.

I've got to say I'm surprised by how one sided this thread is. Does anyone want the guy to stay? Not heard anything so far. Personally for me, he's got next week and if no semblance of progress then he must go.

Incidentally, I think Hartley is a very decent manager. Getting the absolute maximum out of his pretty average bunch of players. Seems like he has instilled a right good work ethic and professionalism within their team. Saying that, they weren't much better than us today but the point rings true for the progress he has made with them in the last couple of years
