  1. The full team were pish today and the effort, heart and fight was missing just like last week. McCall has one plan and if that isn't working there is no plan B and no way he will change it. Higdon will take a lot of abuse and blame after today, but IMO the faults don't lie at his door. How many passes were played on the deck near him today, how many crosses were put in for him and how many players were near him for flick ons and 2nd balls - answer absolutely fucking none. Jennings has been a fat over weight passenger this season, Murphy is wasted where he's getting asked to play and Chris Humphrey makes Casagolda look like a footballer. Yet we suffer him every week and McCall appears either too arrogant or inept to drop him.;

We have lost 9 goals since Tim Clancy joined our back four and you can read into that what you want but why is Page not getting a chance or will he ever? Forbes has played one game this season and played well, when will he get his chance? I'm not saying they will makes things rosy in the garden but at least I might see some effort and fight.

The happy clappys on here will bury their head in the sand and say this is negative but with such a thin squad, a manager who appears to have no plan B and a team who for two weeks in a row have shown no fight, spirit and heart I fear a long season with a relegtaion fight!!

  2. Just back from Parkhead. What an absolute shocking, gutless and heartless performance. I didn't go there expecting us to win as if Celtic play well then they will 9 times out of ten beat us. However I don't expect to go there and watch a team with no game plan, no belief and no fight. 4 -0 was unfair to Celtic it could easily of been more.

We lacked belief and ambition and IMO that lies at the door of our manager. What was his game plan today? If Higdon can't play up top himself against St Mirren or Hearts to any effect he isn't going to do it against Celtic. He had no support today what so ever. The game passed by Hately when he was in midfield and Jennings and Lasley couldn't get near Celtic. Don't think we made a tackle all game.

This result won't affect our season, however I'm annoyed at paying £26 to watch such a gutless performance against the old firm and not for the first time under McCall.. He can take the praise and rightly so when we play well and get good results but he also needs to take the criticism when he sends a team out with no game plan and no belief. There certainly wasn't any together and team spirit on show today. A celtic player may be individually better then a Motherwell player but that doesn't mean they have a better heart or more will to win.

Special mention to Strathclydes finest today - what a bunch of shite bag, jobsworth, double standard c*nts!!!

  3. Higdon has done ok for us - he isn't the problem. The problem is the negtaive system we play with our biggest talent wasted wide left and our right winger being completely ineffective. Some peolpe can't see that tho and Higdon is an easy target for them.

  4. Not saying it's a great signing but it's certainly not an inspiring one and won't get me back to Fir Park in a hurry. All it's going to do is push Page and any other Motherwell youngsters further down the line again. We need a striker and a winger more than anything else and this just appears to be wasting a wage which could of been put to better use. Another Ross, Jones,Jeffers signing.

  5. I am not sure why people are complaining about McCalls tactics.

I do not remember any chance Smeltic had, did anyone? The goals were a long shot, a deflected OG and a goal when we gave already!

Motherwell hasnt done much wrong imho. We kept it tight and stop Smeltic playing football. The problem was that the defending was too much and we missed a punch upfront.

I must say that McCall got the tactics spot on for me, but we do not have Ronaldos or Rooneys.

MotM def Hammell and I personally think he suited the position with Jennings in front of the back 4.

Think Humph and psossibly Murphy got caught by the occasion.

Pure Shite mate. McCall tried to not loose the game and at no point did he try to win it. We created fuck all with one isolated striker- not for the first time under McCall. The manager had no belief and it rubbed off on the players.

  6. Our large well flag with the 3 saltires and badges will appear over a bridge of the M74 during the night on friday night around the Uddingston area. It will probably be it's last outing as it's likely to get nicked or removed but will be worth it just to get it right up some of those ba****ds.

  7. It's all well and good playing defensive and keeping it tight and ensuring we are in the game but we aren't good enough to defend for ninety minutes. We can't sit off Celtic and allow them to play like we did today, like we did against Rangers at Fir Park and like we did at Tannadice last week. One up front and no out ball doesn't work and it just keeps coming back to us. We need to put in tackles, chase and challenge and most importantlygive John Sutton some support. Celtics defence is pish but is made to look good when a team plays one up front against them and sits back.

  8. Didn't go to Parkhead today for the simple reason that I knew McCall would play one up front and had no intention of attacking -just like last Saturday at Tannadice. I would be interested to view the league table since McCall took over and see where we finished!!

  9. Murphy has been pish lately but is one of not many players in our team who can actually make something happen. Not the best player lately but certainly not the worst - for me all our problems start in the centre of our defence and a lack of a leader in our team. Craigen is done and proved it again today. Surely that must be McCalls number 1 priority in the summer. The overall lack of fight, spirit, urgency and will to win was missing big time again today!!!!!

  10. Get back to Glasgow airport at 11:25am on sunday morning and will need to drive quickly to Dundee to make kick off. Incidentally the Emirates 7's legends tournament is on over here this Friday and Stuart McCall is still listed as one of the h**s players - I take it he won't be making an appearance!

Hoping for at least a draw on Sunday but I fear one up front, backs to the wall disaster - hoping to be proved wrong.

  11. Didn't need to wait to get home. Didn't go today, didn't go to Stranraer and ain't going to Aberdeen. First time I've missed 3 games in a row in many a year and won't be going back any time soon. I can take getting beaten and over the years I've got used to getting beaten but what I can't take is players not giving a fuck and not being taken out the team because of it and that's what IMO seems to be happening under McCall.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and you are entitled to argue that McCall is god but in my opinion he isn't the man for the job. Results and performances so far back me up and sadly for MFC I think they will continue to back me up. Of course I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.

  12. Why should we ever expect to win, we have punched above our weight for years, football is so entertaining under McCall and John Boyle is keeping the club going. How dare anyone criticise a manager after this short spell when we are playing such lovely football and getting beat every week and how dare we criticise seasoned profesionals for not giving a fuck!!!

There is no fight in the team and no togetherness - you can quite clearly see that. All that together with the fact that McCalls tactics are shite. This is not a knee jerk reaction from me - I had come to that conclusion after watching a heartless and gutless performance at Tannadice that McCall ain't got it. Not one lesson has been learned from that night.

  13. 'rather than blame the manager, hows about blaming the players, and especially the experienced players. What can the manager do if the defensive players cant do the basics, i.e. tackle and mark an opponent? '

I do, I am ,I have been. Hately doesn't give a fuck or try a leg and while Craigen does both of these he is brutal and ain't gonna get any better. What has Stuart mcCall done to install a bit of heart/fight in Hately?? Why does Stuart McCall persist with Craigen?? ( don't blame injuries today).

Should McCall not be teaching/coaching them the basics during the week? And why no matter how bad he was against Kilmarnock is Murphy not starting. On the basis of one bad game he has been dropped yet we stick we Chris one game a season Humphrey.

No shape, no heart, no fight, no belief, set out to defend equals no points!

  14. Since not many will ever question McCall I'm going to start. Results so far have been shite - 2 cups wins against lower league opposition and a home win against a poor Hibs team. Performances have been shite with the exception of Dundee in the cup and a ten minute spell in the semi. Signings so far- enough said. Team selection, tactics and players attitudes so far- shite.

Never mind, we will finish 2nd bottom and out the cup at quarter final stage and people will still say we punched above our wait for too long anyway.

McCall is the new Malpas - get shot of him quick and please take that bombscare of a centre half and captain with him.

Here goes the happy clappy give him time and we have no money brigade

  15. Team for Sunday:

    Randolph

    Page,Saunders,Hutchy,Hammell

    Humphrey Jennings Lasley Jones

    Murphy Sutton

    2-0 Motherwell

    I can but dream!!!

Or as an alternative McCall will play Sutton up front on his own, waste Murphy out wide, play Hately in midfield where the game will pass him by and he won't try a leg and play Craigen to give away a needless penalty and score an own goal!!!!

Rangers are shite at the back and good going forward - we need to get in about them and rattle their cage and give some support to the front men. I remember someone in their first interview stating that they would rather lose 5-4 than 1-0 or something similar. Just lets hope he remembers that on Sunday. I don't want another Hamilton/Utd/St Johnstone performance - have a go and see what happens, we ain't good enough to defend for 90 minutes.

    Mon the well.

  16. Just back from the game. I'm afraid that performance was shocking. Spineless, gutless and severly lacking fight, spirit and heart. This isn't an over reaction to a two nil defeat it's an honest review of a game that could of been quite easily been 5 or 6 if it wasn't for Randolphs superb saves and that was against a shite utd team whom Donkey Kenneth was their main playmaker tonight.

Too many players failed to turn up tonight with IMO only Randolph & Murphy getting passmarks. Lasley & Jennings were poor tonight which seemed to have a huge effect. Humphrey is a complete waste of a shirt at the moment, the less said about Forbes the better, Craigen had some shocking passes straight to Utds front men and as for Tom Hately I must be the only one who thinks he is a waste of a shirt. Shat out a tackle in the first minute and that dictated the rest of his night. He continuously lost possesion, couldn't tackle, was bullied for 90 mins, didn't seem to care or look interested and hid when the going got tough.

McCall got some praise rightly so for a good show on Sunday so he can take the criticism tonight because that simply wasn't good enough. One chance created in 90 mins against an average team is pish and what was even worse was there was no fight or heart to be seen out there tonight.

  17. Shows you how opinions can differ. I thought Craigen was horrendous today. He got caught the wrong side of his man on numerous occassions today, his distribution with the exception of one wonderful defence splitting pass was shocking and his tackling was powder puff. The majority if not all of their chances game through the centre of our defence.( and before the Stephen Craigen fan club get all upset don't blame Reynolds for this!)

On a positive note I thought it was a solid and professional performance overall with Jennings, Murphy & sutton superb. Randolph looked steady as usual, Lasley, Humphrey, Hammell, Hately and Fitzy all put in a good shift.

Hope McCall can sign a centre half and a left mid and things are looking up after all the recent doom and gloom.

  18. Nothing personal against the man but he took charge of 3 games and 2 of them were the most spineless performances I have ever seen by a Motherwell team.

Just had to watch Alan Gow not break sweat agian, not jump for a header, shite out of every challenge and let his opponents waltz past him. It's ok tho cause he had a good pass in the hearts game.

We need team players, fighters and winners - lets hope Stuart McCall can install that in our team because I'm afraid Gordon Young couldn't.

  19. Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the official Aberdeen site suggests that Browns agent contacted them to express their interest in the job. If this is true it just shows us what a lying, old, two faced, back stabbing cu*t his is.
