Let Cadden whose had a poor season go. Get the 600 grand development fee and use that money to sign Shankland from Ayr. See easy this managerial thing.

The guy scored two goals last season.
He surely won't be our number 9.
That's one more than the prolific Curtis Main scored and he played mumber 9 at least 20 games. I just hope that with the Turnbull money if it happens we get a decent centre forward cos the 3 we have so far aint gonna do.
-
So we've got Johnson . Young Scott and a guy from Fleetwood Town reserves fighting for the number 9 jersey. Why dont we weld them together might make a decent striker..........jeeeso.

I reckon if compensation wasn't due then Cadden would have more offers. Given the length of time he's been with us and number of games played, it would be a decent amount.
Cadden on a free would, I imagine, attract the interest of the likes of Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and a few league one clubs down South....
Im sure Robbo stated we'd be looking for 600 grand compo. Cadden being a Scotland Internationlist.

Any chat on clubs interested in Cadden? Not seen a sniff of a rumour amongst all the Turnbull chat.
Wondering about Cadden as well. He's put himself in limbo. He must be leaving but where?

Main signing for Aberdeen is exactly the reason I didn't want Derek Macinnes as the next Scotland manager. What's happening with our interest in the striker from Northampton Town we're interested in?
-
I would rather poke my eyes out than watch us playing 3-5-2. Has everyone forgotten how pish we were for about 6 months and in relegation bother getting gubbed at home to Accies and St. Mirren with this awfull formation. NEVER PLAY 3-5-2. It was only when Robinson changed the system brought us results and safety.

It's the potential requirement for a change of formation be that as a result of personnel changes, or simply when an opponent, in game situation or match warrants it, that left me slightly puzzled at the freezing out somewhat of Danny Johnson.
I absolutely backed the decision to give James Scott the game time but wondered if perhaps some of that time might have been useful alongside another striker, in particular Johnson, to see if there was a potential partnership there.
I still think Johnson offers something when we play with two strikers.
I agree but is Danny Johnson still at the club?

I'm not particularly bothered as I don't sit in the POD, but if your day is ruined by sitting in the same stand as some away fans for 90 minutes then I'm not sure if football's the sport for you.
Why dont you go the whole hogg and sit in the Copland Road stand at Ibrox and the Lisbon Lions stand at Parkhead for away games. You've got to be at the wind up here. Away fans in the POD is a nightmare simples.

McInnes is also on record as saying signing May was better than signing Moult
Which is excactly the reason as well as signing 'free scoring' Curtis Main that im delighted that he aint the new Scotland gaffer.

See the currant buns have got a years extension on Kent. Wonder what that does to Hastie's place in the pecking order ?
Should this have been in the former players thread ??
Can put it in the who gives a fuck thread.

Be delighted if we could sign Lafferty. Cant understand how Sevco have cut him loose. Maybe fallen out with Gerrard.
-
Just hope Charles Dunne gets his form back for the new season. He's had an awfull half dozen games for us.
-
Donnelly is never a midfield replacement for Gorrin. He may have had an ok game today but really he's been crap for most games. Not SPL standard at all.

Still have nightmares about his chipped goal in that awfull league Cup final. No seriously he's a good addition to our coaching staff.

Chucking it out there. Who would have Bigi back at end of the season? Would he perhaps fit well in the new formation?
Naw.
-
This should be approached as a training match with as many of the young players as possible getting game time. Why not . The first team guys who've expressed a desire to leave should be allowed to do so asap. We need to see if the likes of Scott. Livingstone and McGuire can hack it at first team level. Im sure Livi wont have their full team out either.
-
Regarding Turnbull we could sell him to Derby for 2M. And get him back on loan for a season . Im sure i read him in papers saying he would be happy wirh that scenario.
-
Tait has been played out of position all season long. Now hopefully we've got a left back and let him go back to where he should always be.

Where are we weak? You might get different views about this.
8 minutes ago, Kmcalpin said:Almost agree with everything you wrote, apart from those about Cadden and Hastie. Apart from goalkeeper every area of the team needs strengthening. Declan Gallagher will be an upgrade in central defence and his acquisition is very welcome given our lack of pace and aerial ability today.
In one post you're asking where we're weak and then your totally condradicting yourself by saying every area needs strenthened. Which one is it?
-
As i said before we'll finish 8th. Big turnaround in players required for next season. We all know where we are weak. Robbo get it sorted.
-
Slightly off topic but on the subject of finances have we paid off Mr Hutchenson and Mr Boyle yet . Been posted on here if Cadden leaves we could rake in 600 grand development fee?
-
Saints will beat us and we'll finish 8th above Livingston .
-
Regarding Chris Cadden as i've said before he's had a poor season. Maybe carrying an injury. If he moves on good luck to him maybe we'll get a right sided midfielder with a bit of pace who might score a goal or two in his place.

Agree we need another 4 players in at least and also hope Tanner is fit.
