I was referring in the main to what you've already described in the 2nd sentence there. I, and a few others took exception to it, possibly because of mis-conception of the context in which you say it was meant. Anyway, perhaps my previous post wasn't worded as well as it should have been

that's what COPPA validation is for as was mentioned above it's very easy to turn it off in the settings if you don't intend to regularly use it

in all honesty I also was less than enthused at the appointment with Stuart McCall, I didn't (and still don't) think he's the right man for the job. cos folk were badgering me to upgrade it really. This one is a bit more stable and more in line with a few other things for the site that'll be coming online shortly. Brought back the chat facility and introducing a blog, gallery, store and one or two other things.
