The problem with football world wide is that it's no longer the working man's game. It's now the domain of rich playboys who want a plaything to spend money on. Take Man City for example. They must of spent a hundred million on their team & there's no way they will ever recoup that amount. Plus the money they make on TV revenue, league position, European games etc will far outweigh any income they make from crowd takings. So they are in a position to charge whatever gate price they want because whether they have a full house or a couple of hundred at each game it won't affect their ability to run the club. Then you get teams like Motherwell who need every penny they can get so they charge top dollar entrance fee just so they can pay players wages etc. The rich teams who have supporters/glory hunters coming out their ears can afford to charge less for gate money but the poor teams who struggle to find supporters have to charge more gate money just to stay afloat & this in turn alienates more of the working man who can't afford it. Get the rich c@#ts to fuck & return the game to the working man.

If only Percy Thrower was still around he'd have it sorted in a jiff.

Foreigners is the way to go. Let's hope we unearth a couple of Shivute's

Thats why i said time will tell if he's a good appointment my concern is he's planning for next season when we are falling into the shit in this season. Let's sort this season out and then use the summer to take care of next season.

There's a lot of things JB can't help & doesn't have the cash to help but appointing a manager is in his control & time will tell but i think he maybe made a gaff in McCall. McGhee came in & got off to a flyer. Gannon came in & got off to a flyer. Brown came in & got off to a flyer. McCall came in & we are slowly sliding down the league. Right now we are struggling to score a single goal in the league & McCall comes out and says hopefully we will have a good striker in place for next season! WTF has he already given up on this season? If it wasn't for the fact Accies are so bad & St Mirren are just Cowdenbeath in disguise we would be in serious trouble this season if McCall can't address the problems in the squad.

Dont know if this would work but i've got my tin hat on so here goes. Over here Sydney FC have 2 different shirt sponsors. Their home shirts have Bing Lee (a shop like Curries) & their away shirts have Sony on them. Could this work for Motherwell? For example say Commsworld just now pay 50k to sponsor our home & away shirts. If you split it up & say Commsworld pay 30K to sponsor the home one & a.n.other company pay 30k to sponsor the away shirts then the club ends up with 60k rather than 50k (sorry for the lack of pound signs but the keyboards over here dont have them ) To make it fair the club could wear the away shirts every away game where their wouldnt be a clash. No idea if it could be done but if possible could be a way of producing a little extra coin.

Fantastic draw but not perfect would have been better with more SPL teams drawn together. Someones gonna be lucky enough to get the winner of the Brechin game & barring any "shocks" everyone else is getting an SPL team. Gonna come down to luck of the draw to get a home tie. But for now i'm delighted

Lost count of the amount of games where we were pushing for an equaliser in the final minutes just to see move after move break down with McCulloch fouling someone. Couldn't jump without elbowing & shoving. He gets away with it at Ibrox but not when he was at "a wee diddy team". So wouldn't want him back.
-
Aye but he's clearly had more than one pop
-
Gow Best game he's played for us didnae waste a single pass
-
FFS that could've been an extra player what a vain bastard
-
Get him on a desiging houses show looks like he'd fit right in there

Get the exact same message in Australia seems the BBC media can't be viewed outside the UK.

Been saying it for years join with the SFL & tell the OF to gtf. I can't be arsed with this we need the OF shite. How exactly would we be worse off without them? They take all the money, monopolise the league, shame Scotland with their c*#t supporters & even rape other teams of their best players. What part of that is good for Scottish football? And one things for sure once they realise they are left in an SPL of just the two of them they would come crawling back as they would have no league to be part of. Then we could have them back on our terms including they start in the bottom division. The problem with Scottish football is the OF. Sort them out you sort out Scottish football. Keep pandering to them then Scottish football is dead please turn out the lights & let's go watch curling.

You know what's gonna happen next time we play the sheep. McNamme passes to Gow, Gow beats 2 men then threads a ball through to Blackman, Blackman scores a screamer from 30 yards sheep win 1-0.
-
Like i said before since when did tv revenue equal extra revenue for teams outwith the OF? & like i asked before if it needs an 11-1 swing & 3or 4 teams are planning to vote against it then surely it's already dead in the water?
-
Not quite sure how this would reduce gate money. Bearing in mind the OF take more than the lions share of tv money & throw crumbs to the peasants doesn't that mean it might reduce gate money for the OF & everyone else will have to charge the same as now or increase fees to make up for lost supporters. But anyway if 3 or 4 teams are against the 10 team proposal and it needs an 11/1 swing then isn't it already dead in the water?

A meaningless game isn't about not caring if your team win it's about people hoping their team win but they don't deem it worthwhile to spend their hard earned cash on. You can't tell me the crowd for a game against St.Mirren for a place in Europe or relegation would be the same as the crowd for a game against them for no more than three points. My take on a meaningless game is when nothing but points are at stake you get a lower crowd therefore less club income & players not giving a fuck & playing out a dull 0-0 draw.
-
Maybe we have a decent striker in Casagolda unless he is given a run we will never know. If we sell Jennings then a decent midfielder is top priority as our midfield is currently pish so selling the one decent midfielder we have is only gonna make it worse.
-
McCall's already watched the fringe players in a bounce game so the first team players better start giving a fuck or they will be hard pushed to find a place on the bench. New manager means clean slate for everyone so McCall will not just play wasters out of blind loyalty.

Read Doncaster saying 10 team league would be more exciting for the fans as there would be less meaningless games. His reasoning was with a few weeks left of the season a team could be playing for a place in Europe but could also still be relegated. Is that the biggest bunch of arse ever? 90% of seasons see the teams in mid league have no chance of being relegated & are still a mile away from Europe. In other words all their last games are meaningless. Im not saying thats there no meaningless games in the current set up but for this twat to come out and say a 10 team league will eradicate meaningless games is way off mark. Oh and i notice he didn't say it would be more exciting as any team could win the league. In other words lets keep the status quo with the mould firm playing for the title and everyone else will see avoiding relegation as a successful season. If that's this guys idea of excitement then i pity his wife

Purely going on our previous record against lower league teams i really think we are gonna get beat & not by a fluke they will play us off the park. The one bright spot is it's McCall's first proper game in charge (Accies was definitely Young's team) & he can hopefully get them up for it. But then wasn't it Broon's first game in charge when Inverness pumped us last year? Could be totally wrong there but i know it was early on in his reign.
-
If Blackman goes we have to give Casagolda a chance to see what he can do before his one year deal runs out. He could be the dogs baws or he could be just baws but unless he gets a chance we will never know. I for one would hate if he leaves in the summer for nothing without being given a chance then moves elsewhere & turns out to be the goal machine some people think he is.
-
The current form of both teams was never gonna attract a large crowd. To be honest they could've charged a fiver admittance and still not got much more punters in. Too much apathy due to recent pish poor performances.

Doesn't matter how good your English is your gonna have to brush up on your Scottish to understand half of what people here say. Welcome to the light side & if you do get to Fir Park remember your wellies coz you might be standing in pish
