  1. Any of the lower league sides obviously but would settle for a home draw against Killie, Partick or even ICT. I think we would be capable of beating any of them on our day at home, and would be another premiership team out of the equation for the latter stages of the competition.
  2. Aside from the result which was expected I suppose.....has to be nancy away.
  3. Never mind manager....He would probably be our best centre mid aswell.
  4. So we now have 6 strikers(moore Included) and 3 goalkeepers pulling a wage out of the club. Better get signed up to your £10 a month sharpish. I realise Ripley wage will be debateable but we must be paying something.
  5. International duties, possibly? Just to edit...if you meant in general, then I'm pretty sure he does normally play for u20's.
  6. Wonder if there's any chance of a further bid on deadline day for the boy Bolger from St Patricks? I dare say, if we offered 5-10k more than we did in the summer, they may be inclined to accept it on deadline day.
  7. Grudgingly watched the highlights, it's worth it to see dom thomas celebrating when ainsworth scored the 3rd. That's what you want too see, hunger, desire & passion to win games, as well as ability. The guy would be first name on the team sheet on Saturday.
  8. Would love to think it could be the turning point of our season but realistically it's just papered over the cracks till Saturday.
  9. Iv got a feeling he might rest mcmanus.
  10. Based on our painful inconsistency, today should be an easy 3 points! Especially against a team that are probably banking on today being an 'easy' win for them. Could be the perfect game to give our season a jump start. Fingers crossed anyway!
  11. Livingston have just knocked him back after a trial there.
  12. I see what you were saying and I was agreeing with your original point.
  13. Didn't realise they had a plastic pitch aswell to be honest.
  14. Sorry to be padantic but Qos have a plastic pitch so he wouldn't join them, but sadly I agree with you that that would probably be his best level. If I was St Mirren or Falkirk, I would be chasing his signature. The experience and quality he has could really make the difference in pushing for the championship title/play-off place, especially in what will be a tough league with rangers & hibs there. If hes fit of course.
  15. I would also rather we developed him to play through the middle, in a number '10' role, similar to gauld at united or faddy even in his younger days. I think the silky skills & magic feet are sometimes wasted out wide these days as most teams will double up defensively on a winger. Behind a front 2, he could be a major threat for us and would be more appealing for a prospective buyer in the future.
  16. Im sure im right in saying when Irvine had the first loan spell at kilmarnock, they played him centre half and he was rotten. At county he was more a centre/holding midfielder and seemed to come into his own there. He ran the show against us at FP last season.
  17. Would be happy with that if it means michelle keegan comes up to watch her brother-in-law at fir park every week! As for the guy himself no idea if he is good or not.
  18. Im sure flow said no trialists 'travelled' with them to Holland. Which he would be right in saying coz the dutch boy would already be there.

    Mfc Podcast

Dijkstra & Teale podcasts were both excellent listening. Well done lads
  20. On the subject of new contracts, maybe a good idea to offer johnson a 1/2 year extension just now? I think the new owner will be more on the ball with things like that, than we have been in the past right enough.
  21. Some rangers fans( granted...from rangers media forum) creaming themselves because of erwins muted celebration, and applauding the ibrox main stand when getting subbed. They reckon on that evidence he is a cert to sign with them in the summer. Their patter is brilliant!
  22. Im in this boat aswell. The fact that every form of media & journalist has us written off before (at least) 180 minutes of football is be played will suit us no end. I think we do need to start at 100mph so they tire as soon as possible, but we can do this, no doubt if we are up for it from the first whistle.
  23. Makes sense as to why Plymouth were keen to bump him at the last hour on deadline day despite being 'highly rated'.
