We have had shite days like this a-plenty under virtually every man who has been in charge. Accies last time round at Fir Park a most recent example - and no-one was demanding the removal of Jack and Victor - least not at that point.........
-
It's photos like them that should make even the most doubting person think "why the f*ck can't we beat them?". We had even less of a chance of beating them then than we have on Sunday given what was at stake - and we did. Even with Gerry Britton in a Motherwell shirt.
-
Higdon is a big doubt for them for the game. I feel if we play with any purpose whatsoever this'll be three points in the bag early doors. They were complete and utter mince at the week-end and have been for quite some time.
-
Believe it or not, Western Glasgow had much less snowfall than we did. When we had the severe snowfall in November/December time, you could virtually draw a line down the centre of Glasgow and anything East of the line got it bad. It's bound to have had an effect on the ground.
-
Probably not.......Fair Play
-
Interesting to note that Livingston, who put the under 19s out of the cup, also beat Aberdeen 4-2 during the week to reach the semi-finals where the will face Celtic. Really good youth set up through there, be worth watching a few of their youngsters.

Think I'd be more happy if Goodwillie is out. Aye, Kenneth is a mare but is tall, so not being there at the back should make them weaker on high balls in.
-
I'd have thought Kenneth being injured would be the bad news.................!

That's twice in succession Canning has given away a penalty and somehow escaped a red. He's a complete thug and really shoud be married to Ross Tokely, clearly the perfect partnership there.

With things beginning to head towards the split, I thought it interesting to look at the respective run-ins and the likelihood of Motherwell making it. Anyone as far as Aberdeen could make it and even though Hibs are on 22 they have a chance albiet a rank outside one. There's no doubt the top three places are already secure, so there are realistically 7 teams fighting for three places. Aberdeen have five consecutive home matches this month but, once into March, they'll have five left - and four away back-to-back (including perhaps a key one at Fir Park). Saint Johnstone have 9 left, six at home but three of their nine are against the Old Firm. Dundee United are perhaps the best placed potentially given they still have 11 games before the split, but you'd have to think that so many games crammed into such a short space of time will take it's toll. They've just began four away games on-the-trot before five at Tannadice (and that's not including a further home match against Rangers), and the old adage of points on the board being more important than games in hand might be their undoing. Inverness have to face most of those competing for the top six at home in the next month but their home record being worse than away that's the thing which possibly sees them missing out. As for Kilmarnock, it was remarked on the radio yesterda that teams have now sussed out the Paataleinen way of playing. Certainly, no-one could have forseen them losing 5 at Pittodrie and perhaps this is the start of their slide at the wrong time. Again for Kilmarnock, they have key home fixtures against fellow top six contenders coming up soon. And ourselves. Two wins this week have seen Motherwell go from no hopers to real contenders so it would seem. Our run-in is perhaps kinder than those around us. The key for ourselves is the four league matches between 5th March and 6th April, we go to Inverness and Kilmarnock and then face Aberdeen and Dundee United. Those four matches, coupled with the Tannadice cup tie will define our season. Can we do it - why the heck not?

Seems Mr Reid disagrees somwehat with the penalty. Yer an erse............ Hamilton manager Billy Reid accused John Sutton of "conning" referee Crawford Allan after the striker's penalty earned Motherwell three points at Fir Park. Sutton appeared to be pulled down by Hamilton defender Martin Canning as the pair challenged for Keith Lasley's cross just inside the box. The English striker duly sent Tomas Cerny the wrong way from the spot to claim the only goal of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League game in the 36th minute. But the Accies manager felt there was little in Canning's challenge and hit out after watching footage of the incident. "I was disappointed with the penalty decision, I think it was soft," Reid said. "I think it happens all the time in the box. There was minimal contact, I think Sutton has thrown himself to the ground and I think the referee has been conned." Motherwell boss Stuart McCall disagreed with Reid's assessment. "I should have had another look before I came out but my first view is Sutton had rolled him and he pulled him to the ground," McCall said. We lost one up at St Johnstone, and I can imagine Billy being upset losing 1-0 to a penalty which they probably see as soft. When it happened, I thought `penalty'."

All the mentioned on the radio was that she had a "strange hairdo". Bizarre!
-
Pittodrie was no bowling green on Tuesday and there was no comment. Nothing said about how dismal Tannadice and McDairmid has been, but as soon as Ibrox Chick is sent to Fir Park the place is instantly slated. F*CK OFF Young.

Guys came from behind to get a draw today......... 2-2
-
Think that Rangers game is now postponed as they have a cup replay that night. Still busy though.
-
Interestingly, Dundee United have now been ordered to play Hamilton Accies on the Thursday prior to our cup game. Their schedule from a week on Saturday is like this.... Sat 26 Feb (A) Hamilton Tue 01 Mar (A) Inverness Thu 03 Mar (H) Rangers Mon 07 Mar (H) Aberdeen Thu 10 Mar (H) Hamilton Before we go there on Sunday, 13th. That's surely got to take a toll on them before we play the cup tie.
-
Pretty sure Billy Ritchie didn't wear them either.
-
Nah, set up Blackman.

Most of the comments on that Aberdeen mad site are really bitter and twisted. Lots of them wish that toss Hartley had seriously injured Las for "a forearm smash" on the scruff. Keith Lasley is, and never will be, a dirty player. In fact, one of their "fans" seemed quite delighted that Hartley got in a few kicks on Keith's face.
-
Their goal was a clear block on Craggs - seen fouls given for that elsewhere on a park. Felt a bit for Murph, did everything right then the ball just got caught under his feet. Happens. Still scored the winner right enough!
-
I'd have been tempted to think it was down to getting one up had this game been played on it's original date. Last night was definetly down to the fact our guys are more talented than theirs. And more honest, on and off the park.
-
He caused Aberdeen no end of problems last night. Rangers fans I know said he didn't look out of place on Saturday. He'll do the biz for us.
-
Looks like some 5-year-olds are up way past their bedtime, especially the one about Motherwell and stink........... Aww Diddums
-
Was thinking that myself listening to him greetin on the radio. You should read the Aberdeen version of how the match went........ Ho-ho!
-
Nah, unless someone can catch them on Sky and stick it up on youtube or something.
