  1. I can tell you this though, in all those years I have never been as depressed about the state of the club as I have been for the past few weeks.

I genuinely can't see what this awful state of affairs is!

I think everyone's just on a severe downer after all the relative success... Europe 3 years running n that. And when ye think about it, there's been a shit load off drama. From that 6-6 game, to European tours, big games, the real prospect of big prize money with the group stages and the like.

I think it all came crashing down at that Odense game. From then on it's been pretty average. And that's the problem. The sudden turnaround of us having a lot goin on to us just having a really average situation just seems more depressing than it actually is.

Ok, We've got nae money to buy decent players, but we've never been a rich club, and have certainly seen much poorer times.

We're goin through a badish spell on the pitch. - We aint the best, but certainly aint the worst! Nothing new there.

Now we've signed an unconvincing player for 5 months.... Hardly the end of the world!

  2. Depends on which monogram you mean. The script font used on some recent kits and training gear is in my opinion a poor substitute for the much classier original MFC script. The large M used on our 70’s Admiral kits also looks a little on the clumsy side. So yes use a monogram as long as it’s the original and superior late 60’s, 70’s verison.

    Agreed mate.

  3. And as for the senior players he brought in, Ruddy, Jutkiewicz and Coke are all history already, we are still waiting on Humphrey to live up to the hype, Hateley has been very average this season and only Jennings has made a real impact.

I aint so sure if we'd have got Europe if it weren't for Ruddy and Jutkiewitcz. And Humphrey has shown his potential in flashes.

IMO Gannon's strength was in his eye for a player. He might have had a decent philosophy but if you try to inforce that by acting like an arsehole to players you dont like then u aint gonna get anywhere, especially if those players might be looked up to/friends with a lot of the team and staff.

If he had a wee bit of diplomacy he might get a bit further. I think he looks for the team to be sort of machine-like, with no emphasis put on the morale of the players. Seems a bit of an arse though.

  4. This Charalambous scenario's a funny one. Frankly it doesn't look like he's done anythin worthwhile and he's 22! Why the feck would anyone be taken over to live in scotland to play reserve team football at 22!

So, a wacky conspiracy has came to me. I think he was under pressure by his da to stick in the army. Maybe he hoped to get outa his army conscription early..or somethin. So he convinces brown to take him. Auld Broon said aye awryt, come to Scotland. There's yer answer.

  5. The league is over. A scottish cup run apart

We're 5 pts off 4th which is potentially Europe! With a game in hand! How's the league over? Folk are gettin awffy melodramatic on this board these days.

  6. We need someone who can actually put the ball in the net! Blackman seemed that type of player.

I mean, murphy's great, he can make space and that, but his shots are woeful half the time. Once he learns to hit the ball harder, he'll be fukin amazing.

What was actually the last decently struck goal we scored?

  7. I still haven't seen Ruddy or Randolph give blatant shut up/fuck off gestures to the home fans the way I saw Smith do on more than one occasion.

I thought he had every right to on afew occasions considering the unnecessary abuse he got from his own fans.

  8. nae chance. i'd rather we stood on our own two feet than be subsidised by old firm fans anyway.

season ticket sales would collapse as well, it'd be gutting knowing that you were giving 150 quid to motherwell and 13 quid to every other club. it'd also be sickening to see a team like gretna and accies with no fans getting millions from other clubs every year.

By that 'stand on our own feet' logic we shouldn't get any TV money - it should all go to the OF, cos let's face it, the TV companies are only paying for them, not us.

And as for the latter part o your post. Should the old firm be 'sickened' that our little diddy club benefits financially from their fan base and from the TV deal which they attract ?! If we go by that thinking we mayswell give up on any thooughts of competition at the top of the SPL.

  9. they both know they're going to get relegated at some point and they want the league below the spl to have decent funding.

Ah. This is gonna have to be one shit hot TV deal we're gona get then, if it's to make the "Championship" or whatever well financed aswell as significantly increase the SPLs revenue.. Disny add up man.

  10. That is a fair point actually... What the feck would posess hamilton and st mirren et al to vote for a system where odds heavily favour them both being relegated and thumping their finances in the groin/going into admin/liquidation??!

Some sort of massive parachute payment is all I can think of that would persuade those teams to vote for this. Suicidal if they do surely?
