as for him not being in the next qualifiers.. it doesn't matter, these games still matter in the form of if we keep losing them we'll slip further and further down the rankings and I'm sure that makes things even harder for us so really we need to put out as strong a team as possible and try to get something in the remaining games

If the team that finished the season played against Pana or Levante we would have had a far better chance, but no point talking about what could have been!
Hope McCall can convince most of the guys to stay who are still undecided and then add a few more and have a real good go of it no matter who we get.

And Odense was in the play off round, we potentially could face a far superior team in this round........ the task we face this year is massive but I think it actually makes it more exciting

in terms of progression, none of them are bigger clubs than Celtic and we pumped them the last two games so we can do it, that's how I am going to look at it

still, where would we have finished without those assists! know one knows but we do know he is a really big player for us and we could lose money by selling him for the 170k (+ rest we might never get)

note: the lower SFL clubs dont actually request all that much fuding, in fact nothing more from the SPL pot, but the somewhat faked good of the game line being fed seems more to be for the good of any of the SPL clubs who drop out for a a few seasons
now if only the top position in the whole sorry house of cards was to truly give up a fair portion of the prize money then everyone could sahre and get more than the stand off is asking for:

yep, the guy they want him to replace is supposedly going to Celtic for 2 million!

we should offer him another contract on better terms and keep him here longer so we can demand more money for him if someone comes in!
our problem is we sell so cheap or let our players go for nothing! players with half his ability go for 3 or 4 times that kind of money easy across Europe
400k is nothing really if he is the difference between a few league spots, a cup game, a EL qualifying game! just look at his assist from last season, where would we be without him this season!

thought that was misreported and he didn't cut it short!
doesn't matter either way, he turned down a move to a bigger club and a bigger wage to stay with us
obviously he thinks there is still more he can achieve here, cup win, Euro qualification? who knows but I'm sure McCall will be aiming to raise the bar once again and that is an exciting prospect.

i heard a rumour he has been in discussions with another club for the last few days about becoming their manager.
when you remember the stick that mcdonald, mccormack, pearson and mcghee took for courting other clubs it is very odd that most posters are so happy for mccall to talk to other clubs.
Aye and Chris Humphrey is signing for Middlesbrough after we agreed a 500k transfer fee, Faddy is off to Man U, rangers are just signing players from us to sell to McCall at his new club...

If he turns down more money, a move to a bigger club in terms on fans/resources etc then I think that is a very clear indication of how much he wants to be the motherwell manager/how much he enjoys it. 9/10 times if you offer more money to someone they'll go, if he stays it speaks volumes for the guy!
Thought as soon as they came in he was away.. never dreamt that he might knock them back, if it happens it would probably be one of the most positive things to happen in recent years, we might actually see a fair bit of the team stick around and we might even build on this seasons success.
