Guys, Just a big thank you from Motherwell Football Club for your support for the half time entertainment at the Aberdeen game when the mini games were taking place. The players were all sourced from the Fir Park Summer School and really appreciated the cheers of encouragement from all parts of the ground. They all had a great time and will remember their appearance on the hallowed turf for a long time. Hi TG. Great Idea!! We could do that! Guys - How do you fancy improving your playing performance for your pub team etc, under the watchful eye of Motherwell FC community coaches fully accredited to Level 3 with the SFA. Could be our Grassroots Sports Manager Stevie Kirk (aka the White Pele ) would take the striker sessions. If we get enough interest to make it viable we would be very happy to do it. Guys, The Fir Park Soccer School is halfway through its first ten week block of coaching sessions aimed at boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16. There is still a limited amount of places available which we are now offering at a 50% discount. Based at the AstroTurf behind the East Stand, and accessed through Dalzell Avenue, the Soccer School operates every Saturday in ten week blocks throughout the year providing young people with the opportunity to improve their techniques, skills, and awareness in a fun environment which also promotes healthy eating and drinking, and respect for themselves, their team mates, opponents and officials. During each ten week block, the players will be taken through skills from defending, tackling and heading to silky midfield touches, Cruyff turns and clinical finishing. Every player will also be provided with a FREE passport to the 'Well's home games (with the exception of Old Firm games) and can attend with the game with our coaches, or parent. Guys - if you are swithering - this is a great course to get involved in. The SPL Trust have brought in some really good people to develop the course, and Graeme McArthur who is leading the course for Motherwell FC is one of our top community coaches with wide experience of health and wellbeing. Stevie Kirk will also be popping in now and again, and you will get the chance to meet some of the players. There will also be a competition between the SPL Clubs to see which team's fans lose the most weight. So it would be great to see the 'Well topping this particular league table.
