Being a bit unfair on the big guy in my opinion, at least he looks to get the ball played to him and can actually hold the ball up for a bit giving the other guys a chance to get up the park. He is also able to make the simple lay off pass without giving the ball away, something Sutton finds nearly impossible without falling down.
If his fitness was as bad as Gannon says that it was then, hopefully, as his fitness improves we will find out what he has to offer. I know that he is a different type of player than Sutton but Jutkiewicz's mobility gives us an added dimension and physical presence that we didn't have.
Oh and Ruddy, apart from last week has been top, I sure as feck wouldn't mess with him when he is going for the ball, or in the pub for that matter.

Glad for the game to finish today, thought that it was just a matter of time until they scored. Despite of all the work the guys were meant to have carried out in training after last weeks performance, it was more of the same, and we were very, very kucky to escape with all three points. There just doesn't seem to be any pace or guile about the guys. Forbes was absolutely anonymous and is totally hopeless in a challenge, too light weight to win a header or tackle but hopefully as he mateurs he will put on a bit more muscle.
The lack of attempts on goal is becoming a bit worrying, but what the hell all in all joint third this early in Big Jim Gannon's tenure is excellent.

Got my nice new away strip today, got it home (Glasgow), opened the packet and its got a feckin thread snagged on it. Need to take it back now and try to find a time when I can get through from Glasgow when the shop is open.
Any fecker at Canterbury heard about quality control??? Fuck sake!! my advice make sure you open the packaging and check it out before you accept it..
Can anyone at the shop confirm availability of XL away top short or long sleeved??

Bit of a reality check today, don't get me wrong we have come on a fair old bit under Jim Gannon but we got sussed out today by Hibs. They didn't give us a second on the ball and forced our important guys into making mistakes and getting cought with the ball and wwe ended up giving the ball away far too often. Coke makes us tick at times and he was made to look pretty poor and ordinary today.
We needed a lot more momentum and pace in our play. The slow patient stuff just played right into Hibs hands and they had that bit more class, in that, any decent opportunity they had they put away unlike us.
Anyway onwards and upwards.

I find Aberdeen (McGhee and its fans) trying to take the moral high ground on this one absolutely hilarious. EVERY club has a group of fans will who sing offensive chants just to wind up a player, manager etc. I would rather that they were smart, witty and original rather than this paedo crap. Unfortunatley it is all part of football the world over, doesn't mean that I like but it is the way it is. Suck it up McGhee and stop being such a pussie.
As I've posted elsewhere IMO he will be loving it anyway, it gives him the opportunity to use the media to switch focus away from how unremarkable and disappointing his start to management at Aberdeen has been and switch it onto other events, and what happens he wins.

All that this has suceeded in doing is give McGhee an opportunity to focus on off-field events rather than the game itself and use the media to deflect attention away from just how unimpressive his start at his new "big club" has been.
The guy is clever and knows how to use the media to his own ends, he must be having a right good chuckle about all this and will milk it for all it is worth.

I think he has a lot more than a bit of potential IMO, but when you win and retain the ball using "the spine of your team" that you refer to do you not think that you need a player like Slane to give the ball to rather than just humping the ball up the park and giving it back to the opposition. Also when the defence or midfield are toiling do you not look for someone who can hold the ball up go for a bit of a run and alleviate the pressure and give their defence something to think about giving the forwards or midfielders time to get into position and give the defense a break?

Luxury player???? FFS absolute bollocks - so a guy that runs at opposing teams defences, can beat a man and score a goal or 10 is a luxury player in your estimations. Christ I would hate to watch a team full of players picked buy you. A player like Slane is pretty much as essential as a good defender or midfielder in my book. We need to get him signed up on a much longer term contract as much as we do for the rest of the guys mentioned.

NO it isn't the end for Craigan, but I'm more interested in focusing on the fact than we now have a manager who doesn't give a shit who you are or how long you have been at the club if the tactics aren't working or you are having a crap game he will sub you no if's no but's. Good on you Mr Gannon,

What was Hammel doing at the kick off after the first goal ? Was he arguing with the St Johnstone fans ?Did anyone see the Well fan throwing his pie at Hammell in total frustration, it only just made it onto the pitch. Police took him away for a chat but let him go back to his seat. Funny as fuck.

Spanish Refs like that tube tonight are what spoil watching La Liga for me. Amazing league with fantastic footballers but the refs blow for every little thing and only manage to kill the flow of the game. Players know what to do to get a foul or decision to go their way and the refs happily oblige. Maybe we should just ban Spanish referees.

Got back from the game , I was really impressed by your GK and the blonde dude on the left side. He's got some moves and he tricked our RB(albeit a very good one) several times. I don't know his age, but he looked like a kid
. A very good footballer though.Keep your squad together and have faith in them. You are at a beginning of a journey, and the beginnings are always tough.

For what is worth guys..and im not here to "twist the knife into yer hearts" there really is not a contest and if you have any hope of a 4-0 in 2nd leg..i'll just bet on a 4-1?
What it matters is that you guys are rebuilding a team..that now will have a mark for "what it takes".
And it is up to them to reach it..in the next years.
Your biggest problem will be keeping on to them so that the Well could benefit.

Never had the pleasure of meeting Betty, but by reading all of the warm tributes being paid to her on here she sounded like she was a lovely lady.
Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
