  1. Quoted for Truth!

A lack of killer instinct hurt Aalesund in the first leg, we had a game plan, stuck to it and were fortunate it worked and we got through but were certainly no Billy Big Time! Pretty poor craic with some guys acting up just cause we won when everyone was best of friends last week.

As for Lindegaard, I think Aafk2010 is rather better qualified to judge than Us seeing as he watches the lad every week. And a host of scouts from seriously big euro teams seem to agree with him! Anyway, fuck John Ruddy,he might have been fantastic while he was here but he`s not our goalie anymore, Randy is the way forward and im glad as fuck we have him here, he looks a real find and on a 3 year contract? could really help the club (+ himself) with a big move in a year or 2!

Celtic are scouting him too now. But I think bigger clubs hessitate because of the level in the norwegian league. Its worse than ever I am afraid.

  2. Your team was pumped in the second leg, and in the first leg, we more than did enough to merit the draw, if not the win. Maybe its time to realise that you aren't such a great team and if a team near the top of their league and reigning cup champions can't beat a side still in pre season, Norwegian football isn't all that good either and that nine times out of ten, we would have won that match.

Thats just crap mister. I have never claimed that we are great team in european standard. No offence, but neither are you. I saw two games against a Motherwell side that was exactly as expected. You did not deserve a draw in Norway. You must have watched the game through gigantic Motherwell glasses. Even Brown says that the score was flattering in Scotland. Again I have to emphasise that you deserved to go through because you were effective, but not because you played fantastic football. Two medicore teams, you sucked less than us.

  3. If this guy is being chased by Premier league teams this is unbeleivable, all the boy did was pick the ball out of the net. (right enough our goals were of the highest class)

Surely Ruddy Was/is better than this lad?

Anders Lindegaard is a fantastic goalkeeper. You judge him on 2 games. In 2 games where he didnt do anything wrong really. Motherwell beat us 4-1 over 2 games. A bit flattering, but okey. It looked like our coach didnt want to proceed the way he put together the team and the tactics in the second game. If the tie was played again I think we could have won. Our homeresult was too bad unfortunately.

  4. One of your Norwegian colleagues posted this on another thread... hope the smp.no thing works... and you speak Norwegian...

BBC has bought recording-rights for news usage. Audio coverage has been sold tho. You can listen to the match at www.bbc.co.uk if you got an english ip-adress, or at www.smp.no if you are norwegian.

I know the smp commentary. But I like english commentators better.

  5. I don't understand what you people are so nervous about. The tie was settled in Aalesund when you held us to 1-1. Motherwell has already won this tie, and you can start looking forward to the draw on friday. Must be reallly delightful to be in the hat. I envy you!

  6. Afternoon guys,

I have noticed that some people are asking how many fans our norwegian neighbours are bringing on Thursday....to answer the question I have no idea.....but i do want request that no matter how many fans they bring they must be hoey'd up on the top tier of the South Stand....up out the way...let us kill any atmosphere they want to generate.....We wil generate our own...

I dont care it its bad practice to our guests...F**k them! We're here to win a game if that means waste'n there night at Fir Park...so be it.....

Keep them up the top tier......Mon the 'well!

I like the Motherwellfans. But I am not sure if I like you.

  7. But its true. We have only taken points away on plastic pitches. We didnt play good today, and on nature grass we are totally rubbish. I think you will have a walk in the (Fir) park , a week from now. We had a chance here on our home pitch, but we blew it. I admit i envy you Jamie Murphy. He's a lad I wouldnt mind playing for us. The way he took his chance when he got it, was pure class.

Wrong! We beat Sandefjord away. Nature grass.

  8. I thought a draw was a fair reflection of the game. Even though Aalesund had most of the possession Motherwell defended well and had some good chances on counter attacks. As I see it now its a 70%-30% in favour of Motherwell.

The tie is not over, but I dont have a good feeling now really. But well played and see you next week :wallbash:

  9. I wasn't impressed with him when he first arrived and he was in and out of the team. Then he stepped his game up and has been an amazing player for us...one of the first names on the team sheet

    Alright then

I am a Tranmerefan myself. And I remember that many were critical. Some liked him too of course. Supporters arent the best judges of players anyway. We will see over the 2 games :(

  10. An article in the local newspaper in Ålesund. Its titled: Let the scots come!

http://fotball.smp.no/uefa/article175392.ece (Arnefjord and Arneng dresses up as scots in the pic)

    – Its hard to tell what it takes, Arneng says.

The captain was asked what it takes to stop the scots. But some assumptions he has

    – Its hard to tell how good they really are, but they have experience in Europe from previous seasons. They will most likely stay low with their team away, Arnengs says.

    Experience

The swede has Europe experience on is concious from his time in Vålerenga and know what makes these games so special.

    – There is a big difference from home and away games. The whole thing is special because you play 2 games and nothing is near settled after the first one. But to score away is really valuable and we have to try not conciding at home.

But we will have homegoals, and the receipe is quite simple:

–We will bring a good result when we travel over to them, and then its all about not letting them have anything. In addition to that we will try to score and avoid counter attacks from Motherwell.

    – What are you going to bring from the Vålerenga game?

    – Moral og workrate. Even though we didnt play that well we kept trying and got our reward in the end.

    Skiri

Noone has caught any injuries in training this week, and Kjetil Rekdal can report that only Amund Skiri is the only one out. Several players to choose from is nice in this tight program.

Also the good support from the crowd will help us.

    – I hope there will be a full stadium tomorrow. The Europacup is a great experience for the players, club and the supporters. I hope that as many as possible will come to see us and I think its a great occasion. We need all the support we can have, and have them all behind us, smiles Arneng.
