  1. Have it on good authority that we'be made a very good signing and that the boy is capable of playing right across the midfield

Thank crunchy. We don't need to suffer 400 barbs regarding his height now then? He may gain a chance on merit?

  2. 1 - Good money for us.

    2 - At least it's not OF.

3 - Crap club to join, as it's a basketcase and he'll be reserve at best and ditched as they get a new manager in December.

4 - Needs more first team football to truly progress.

5 - Disappointed after we stuck by him after injuries, but realistic enough to know that's business.

6 - Bugger it. Did us the job that needed done and I hope he carves out a fucking sterling career for himself

  3. Would love a black away top. Very much a fan of black away tops. My last one has 2005 Cis cup final on it, which I don't wear for obvious reasons. (Well, and the fact I'm 6 stone bloody chunkier)

That, or another petrol blue one would see me right

  4. A few strong choices for me. Johnson was class in getting us the settling goals, Lasley and Hammell were immensely calming influences, and Erwin chased his heart out, but it had to come down to a straight shootout between our centre halves for me. Both were frankly colossal at the back, and I've plumped for a player who has flattered to deceive but had his finest moment in a well shirt today, McManus.

  5. Wonder how ticket sales will go then, I don't get paid till Thursday, and I'm working Thursday too so the only chance I will get to get tickets will be on the Friday. Don't know if it's a blessing or a curse, tickets could have sold out by then, on the other hand if he get hammered on the Thursday I could save myself a few quid and not have the displeasure or watching the orcs partying at our expense.

I can't make it before Friday either. It won't sell out, but I'm a tad concerned about losing my seat to some filthy neanderthal imposter (to use the vogue term) if I don't get there sooner

  6. I completely understand that view.

I buy my season ticket, have bought near enough every home and away top for the past 20 years (quite a few of which i've never even worn), and happily do so. I go to games and support my team on a Saturday/Sunday/Friday night, but my interest starts and stops with the referees whistle. I have no interest whatsoever in being involved beyond that.

I don't want any more involvement in what goes on behind the scenes than I do in the shops I buy my food or my clothes.

I have to say though, I did not think that way when I was younger, and it may yet change again.

    I wholeheartedly agree.

  7. Was going to buy a season ticket, but that email irked me somewhat.

Realistically I can only make around 60% of the home games. If there's no reasonable price change for the inevitable relegation, then, frankly, they can just take the piss for the games I can attend. Sod giving a lump sum at the start. I'll overpay for what I can attend.

And that's speaking as a season ticket holder of 15 years, despite 3 years of uncertain Saturday attendance

  8. Sutton could have put away some of Erwin's chances.

However, at some point, there would have had to have been some running to get into the positions that Erwin did to have the chances. Sutton...doesn't do that part.

  9. Enjoyed the game, and thought we played well. Had a bit of the fear after Magennis causing issues in the opening stages, but Hammell crushed him after that. Still think we'll finish 11th,,but I'm happy to see us playing a bit better.

    George Long won't do, though.
