"Motherwell manager Craig Brown has confirmed that he won't be spending any money in the January transfer window. "
Anyone with any thoughts???
To be honest am a bit concerned about this comment, I know we have little, to no money to spend and not asking for us to spend a fortune, however, with 3rd place anyones, surely the board could try and free up so sort of cash.
We have gow and fitzy contracts ending in January, meaning we could loss 2 more players to an already thin squad.
I think we should be freeing up all money that will be generated by the semi-final game on bringing in new players.
Again, i dont think us fans ask the club to spend large sums of money and we understand the climate we live in, however, surely with the Euro games at the start of the season and a semi cup place there could be a little amount of money.

Was discussed on the boards not that long ago, and the consensus IIRC was "no thanks". There are too many eejits who can't handle one or two beers, let alone five, without making an arse of themselves and pissing off those around them.
But whats the difference to the same 'eejits' drinking in the pub all the way up to 2.55pm and then going into the game?
-
I have said for ages, the reason spl grounds are dead and quiet is that it is all seating.
Surely in todays world measures can be taken to allow a standing section to be rolled out at fir park safely.
People who want to stand then stand in this section, people whom dont want to stand can happily sit elsewhere in the stadium.
I personally feel this would generate more noise.
To go off course a bit, what is the opinion of bringing back pints at the football? surely over a period of 90mins you can only at most drink 4 or 5 beers which would hardly see someone legless. I just think if the english can still sell beer why cant we when for one we has less people to monitor at the grounds.

Kilmarnock, Falkirk or St. Johnstone at home at a push, would defo like to avoid Dundee, Aberdeen, Celtic or Rangers anywhere, let them knock each other out
-
With draw for the 4th round taking place today at 2.30pm, Who would we like out of the following:
Celtic
Rangers
Kilmarnock
Aberdeen
Dundee United
Falkirk
St. Johnstone
I would like Falkirk at Fir Park, whats the other thoughts?

Am not saying Lasley should be within scotland's starting 11 and prob not a fully fit 16 squad, all am saying is why has he never been considered for a friendly when other humpties are picked
-
No, just no. I like Lasley, but he is in no-way comparable to Robson, or Blackpool captain Charlie Adam who was by far the best player in that team last season. Get the Claret and Amber specs off.
Adam is a player that needs space and time, looked useless against Sweden, Lasley is a grafter and works hard, I would rather see Lasley as a holding mid than Paul Hartley
Robson has yet to do anything in a Scotland strip - why keep picking him
-
Hammell and Lasley are two good pros but no not good enough.
Hammell and Lasley OR Davidson and Robson - I know which two I would pick, and again, it is only my thoughts
-
On the eve of the scotland game, I am getting more and more p'd off with the Scotland team selections:
Mark Reynolds - Why can he not get a cap for the full team? surely he is better than Garry Kenneth, Berra, and the donkey brothers!! Why he not get a game in Sweden.
Ross McCormack and Davie Clarkson - They struggled to get a cap when at fir park, however, the min they move to a English 'bigger club' they are picked.
Keith Lasley, Steven Hammell - Could also be in with a shout of getting a chance as they could easily be on the same level as charlie adam, barry Robson, paul dixon, callum davidson
I just feel that players within fir park are over looked and could be easily picked. Whats ur thoughts?
-
I guess he should have just pissed himself and then you could have got down and sooked it up.
he was about 10 and if he cant wait 45mins its a doctor he needs
-
Aye but the extra 100K could maybe fund a player for our wee clique to watch week in week out.
We wont buy a player or sign another player, if we do i'll admit am wrong.
I know the money will be used to help run the club this year but we havent signed, maybe wrong, for ages, always free's
-
yeah, here here.
Up the well
-
I personally hated the attendance last night (prob get a kicking for this comment)
There i was bricking it, with no nails left, while two women talk all game behind me about shite, the row infornt had a wee boy that needed a pee every two mins, therefore, seen about 85min of the game.
These 'part time' or 'day out' fans are a waste of time, they come and go without a care about the club, fans, players, managers, until the next big night.
I would have been happier with 5k loyal fans cheering on the well.
-
some bookies are offering the same price to qualify and to win after 90mins
I'd be to qualify all day long gives you more of a chance
look at www.oddschecker.com
-
Attendance will be 9867
That’s a bit of a specific number lol
-
I buy the strips, have many t-shirts etc, and never wear them
Love the clubs colours and would have to say I would never want the team colours to change
-
The guy is a banger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! End of..
Total banger!!!
he's a rangers/hearts fan (in that order) and he knows if we win tomorrow night, the spl get the 2 champions league places back in 2011 - 12 season, i.e. giving rangers a better chance of getting into it.
He's a first class fanny not kidding on
-
would be a great signing for us, no question
ok his form has dipped, but could defo regain it
surely if hamilton and paisley scum could sign him, we surely can afford him
-
Cheers nethertonwellfan. A few beers from every person on the bus, think that might be time for the stomach pumps.
Church - When does your bus leave, hope your putting some pictures up and reg. updates
-
Cheers Guys, hope we can get something and bring it back with us
-
Anyone know how many tickets have been sold to date? and the proposed number going?
Who Do We Want As Our New Manager?

Steve Clark for me but dont think he would be interested
Chris Coleman also would do a good job for us.
I think we will bring in someone that is unemployed for sure.
I would give graggs it till the end of the season see how he goes as we are defo not getting relegated and the players will give 100%
