  1. as long as we get to see reasons for decision, I believe we can sustain without Rangers, only with the support of our fans, ever more so now than ever, lets get behind the club and get into the Well society and get your season tickets
  2. Agreed, we need a couple of new faces, look at the difference bringing in OJ did during January window, he was a breath of fresh air and spurred us onto the 3rd place. I know we don't have much money but we must have some flexibility with the players that have left the club and season ticket sales up again. If we dont speculate (within our resources) we may not accumulate. Look at what not bringing in one or two players may have cost the other year against Odense, who knows ? I'm certtainly not talking about breaking the bank but maybe getting in a seasoned pro like St Mirren did with Stevie Thompson to help the younger ones in the squad.
  3. So who else should we sign then, rumour mills are really quiet
  4. Agreed . . . Faddy might come back, but not yet, he has another couple of years to go before that will happen, he still wants to prove himself.
  5. Not sure he would move to work with the Hearts nutter, maybe he will see how it goes with us next year and get Ally's job when he gets punted !!
  6. Its a cracking looking strip, different to most things out there and still has the band across the chest, just got one yesterday for myself and my oldest boy, yougest son now wants one too !! Support the 'Well, Europe here we come
  7. Reynolds did ok, but I think we need to move on from him, we have equally as good players at the club and on the fringes, never saw anything from him in the sheep colours to show that he had learned anything different by moving to another club(s)., lets give his wages to someone else !!
  8. I would have liked to have had time to have a good chat with him, he was really friendly guy and seemed happy to talk, but I was running late and he shook my hand and thanked me for wishing him good luck with his future, seemed a top bloke. would love to get him back to Fir Park as a guest of the club.
  9. I was running for flight to Budapest (fecking Amsterdam security !!) and just noticed him, told him I was Motherwell fan and wished him good luck for his future. I then reminded him we were Champions League, he just smiled and said good luck.
  10. As I have said before on this, I would love the club to tell the fans how much the old firm contribute to our revenue. In my opinion it is ludicrous that the first two in the SPL (i.e. old firm) get by far the majority of the cash, the difference between 2nd and 3rd I believe is around £300-£400K, so if Motherwell finished 3rd we would be able to secure the current team and we would not have to force them to take a wage cut. Do we know what the SPL split of cash would be if we did not have the old firm (obviously depens on SKY/TV money etc). I for one would be happy to see both of them kicked out, would help reduce the bigotted vile that runs through west central Scotland. But obviously I need to know what that means for my club.
  11. The main thing is that a club like Motherwell needs a really strong fanbase and they need to buy season tickets to support the club. It is FANTASTIC that season ticket sales are on the up again this year, the more we can steal the youngsters from the big two the better. The club and the supporters need to be applauded for their efforts, a fantastic club to be a part off. p.s. just bumped into Roberto Martinez at Amsterdam airport and reminded him of what a great Champions League club we are !!!
  12. I can certainly back this up, as a motherwell supporter who lives near the training facilties, I have on occassion been down to see them training and Stuart always takes time to listen to any 'Well fans view, including when my 13 year old son spoke 'candidly' about some of the team when we were going through a sticky patch around Christmas, Stuart encouraged him speak his mind and listened to what he had to say. He has always said that people have their own opinion, how many old firm fans get that openness and accessibility from their Manager, whatever your opinion, his openess has to be applauded.
  13. Happy that he has signed up as he seemed to do well in the few games he got, but he doesn't have the same presence as Randolph, surley one of the best keepers around at the moment, ssshhh though don't tell anyone
  14. realise that he would need to take wage cut, maybe we could get him on loan without having to pay all his wage. We need a leader at the back and he showed that anytime I saw him with Hibs, Hutchy and the other boys are still a little raw in that department, he would certainly help Hutchy.
  15. is the big guy McPake that Hibs had on loan, away back to Coventry?, he looked a decent player and we need cover at centre half with Crags and Clancy away?
  16. Scottish Premier League clubs have voted at Hampden not to introduce fixed punishments for clubs reforming as new companies known as "newcos". That will be next move for Hearts then !!
  17. He obviously still has a lot of friends over there and is trying to be sympathetic? or . . . maybe he is eyeing the prize when McCoist walks away !!
  18. My understanding is that the Well Society membership will be available anytime and you can upgrade your membership at anytime too. As for the whole debacle that taints Scottish football just now, I don't believe that all the truths will ever come out. Rangers have gained an unfair advantage to the detriment of the other SPL clubs and should be punished by whatever means is available to the authorities. I personally would like to know how much income would be lost if Rangers were to get kicked out, certainly would force the bigots on both sides to find some other way to vent their ill informed anger and hatred. Personally I will support Motherwell whether Rangers exist or not and will continue to do so. Motherwell needs its fans more than ever just now, unless the unlikley scenario that I win the Euro millions, and we need the steady income that comes from season ticket sales and from the Well Society and from selling on at least one player per year. Lets see what comes out over the next few weeks, but please do not fail in our support to our club.
  19. couldn't agree more, its great that we can get involved and can influence decisions, strip looks great, pretty sure it will be a big seller this year
  20. Keith will get it, with Hammy as vice captain, agree he needs to cut out the silly bookings, we need him and Jenno playing we struggle when these guys aren't playing. Any update on Jennings signing the deal on offer?
  21. just back from Fir Park, ticket office still open, sold 315 tickets so far, seems to be a bit of recent record for sales at Ibrox, could be a good day !!
  22. brilliant mate thanks, heading off now, I tried them earlier but no answer.
  23. Does anyone know if Rangers tickets are available at the ganme today, last time I got them from the wee cabin outside away end
  24. Legends; Wullie Pettigrew Joe Wark Davie Cooper Luc Nijholt Mitchell Van Der Gaag Bobby Russell Miodrag Krivokapic Phil O'Donnell Tommy Coyne Colin O'Neil John Gahaghan Dougie Arnott Favourites; Nick Cusack John Philaben James McFadden Paul Lambert Don Goodman Sieb Dykstra I'm sure I've missed loads
  25. Daz gets it for me, consistent all season (shh, in case someone notices and wants to sign him). Humph hides too much in games, shame as he put in a few great runs and crosses on Saturday. Basically the whole team was rank, good support again for the 'Well (1,371 according to announcer). Agree with joewarkfanclub, Clancey tried to hard and was lucky to stay on the pitch after a few dodgy late challenges near the end that went unpunished.
