  1. is craig goes it wouldnt complain if we hold on to archie to take over
  2. if he took the job after the first offer then i wouldnt have been bothered, but if he has taken the job after than speel in the paper about how after the convo he has with craigan he wouldnt leave then i will be seriously pissed....
  3. i knew they were away with the fairies but fuck me!! i am simply speechless, which isnt somthing that happens often.... this has to be the best thing i have heard all season!
  4. if there was ever a time for boyle to free up some transfer funds then now is it...
  5. ok so here is my full opionion on this story, on one hand I hope he stays, when he came to motherwell i always hoped he would be somone who would stick with us till the end, through think and thin, i would like to think he would be the nice guy he seems to be and stay with us, especialy after he knows what happened with mcgoo and have enough emotional envolvment in the club to not put us though that same situation again, not to mention we are the club that brought him back into managment and if it wernt for us then he would still be watching the time go by as a pundit. HOWEVER. on the other hand, if he takes the job then i would feel no bitterness towards him, he pulled us up from the ashes and for that we should all be ever greatfull and respect his decision. he hasnt went hunting for the job and hasnt made us out to be a club worth less than aberdeen so if brown and motherwell do part ways then it would only be right for us to always see him as somone to respect.
  6. i love how they all automaticaly assume that broon would take the job, shows just how much they are all stuck in lala land!
  7. i would put money on it that they will charge more for pro clubs, which could have fuled the argument. im standing by the club on this one, should be supporting the local team.
  8. so we are in a semi final, and about to plunge into the scottish cup. and with these cups comes the prospect of a penalty shoot out. I was thinking about this the other day and was interested to see who other people would choose if/when the big moment comes. over the last year we have had our fair share of penalty collapses which makes our selection a tricky one. i would say my 5 would be ( assuming they are still here at the time). Blackman Hately Jennings Murphy Sutton
  9. I think at this stage we need to realise that we MUST hold on to our decent players. Im not daft, I do realise that Motherwell are a club that usualy cant aford to knock back good offers for players. however. I believe that if we are to advance as a club we need to shake the reputation of selling players for low prices. If murphy or the humph for example played for hearts or hibs they would be offerd somwhere in the region of a mill to a mill and a half, where motherwell would be lucky to be offered 50k for the pair. for us to expand as a club and rase our profile then we need to shake this reputation of being a feeder club.
  10. i would have much rather of had celtic, we have no chance of beating rangers, do you remember what happened the last time we played them in the cis? yeah our arse collapsed and we were ripped apart. i dont think we will get pumped, cos like i said at the start of the topic, rangers only pump us once a season and they have used up there free coupon for this season.
  11. i know, shocker eh! its asif it was a set up, but that cant be..
  12. well my prediction came true, cheerio silverware, mibi next time....
  13. im not sure if its connected but the official site is down...
  14. dont think so, im listening to clyde to see if they announce it on there.
  15. been thinking that myself, just the fact they do the draw out of a clear glass bowl makes the whole thing more than suspect.
  16. i couldnt have put it better myself
  17. ok so the draw is tomorrow, and im guessing we get hit with rangers, but i dont see that as a problem, all 3 teams are beatable in my opinion, if you look at celtics defence, we can easy get in about them i would imagine, aberdeen i always see ourselves of the favs, and rangers, well they might have gubbed us recently but that only realy happens once a season and they used there token up and we are over due a good win against them. as for venue, i have to say the semi final against hearts at easter road was one of the best games i have been to for atmosphere, makes the top 3 i would say anyway so i wouldnt complain if it was there again, dundee is a bit of a treck away but if thats where it is then i wont complain as it makes a fair venue if we draw aberdeen, i know most folk would hope for another trip to the nation stadium but i got to say i would rather save that for the final, makes it that extra bit special. but whats everyone else's opinion?
  18. might be a stupid question but will there be any highlights of tonights game? was wanting to go but the misses made me go out with her instead, whipped or what eh?
  19. i must admit when he made the desision not to give the corner i ripped into him and diddnt hold back, i even lost my voice for a while after.in my honest opinion, if they make such a rediculous call then they need to be prepaired to take the abuse along with it. as a football fan im sick and tired of the referees making such obvious mistakes week in week out with nothing being done to correct it, it seems we are the only country that has such a big problem with officials. to sum up... if they make stupid mistakes constantly and cant take the abuse they get for it then quit, it comes with the job title.
  20. good three points and at the same time we can wave goodbye to the cup for another season as we all know its a guarintee that we get pumped during the week now. as a side not, i dont blame humphry one bit for getting book as i had the exact same reaction, i was sitting 20 yards away and could quite clearly see it was a corner, yet the linesman was less than 2 yards away and gave a goal kick, you have to wonder what they see. and also i know as motherwell fans its generaly a mistake for us to listen to the radio, but i sat 40 mins before the game in the car listening to clyde, not one word was uttered about any of the games being played today, it was all about the old firm game tomorrow and the celtic penalty bla bla, and again in the car after the game, the only talk of todays football was the reading out of the scores. its disgusting and im sick to the back teeth of it, its time the media in scotland realise there are more than 2 teams in the country.
  21. let the lad go,hes been loyal and hes done us proud, he has earned his move.
  22. i have thought long and hard about this, and i cant see a reconstruction benifiting us in any way, we would quite clearly loose gate money, i mean seriously what would you rather pay out for, a game against the old firm or a game against say dundee ( if they exist by then), and not just that but the away support they bring makes a big difference, also means we need to share out the tv money between more clubs, so i realy cant see where this would benifit us in any shape or form. what scottish football needs is a big investor, people to pump money into the clubs, the better the clubs the better the tv deals we will get which results in more money which resluts in better clubs which results in better tv deals and so on. the problem is no one wants to invest in a sinking ship, which inevitably scotish football is at the moment. so for now i would leave the reconstruction and come back to it in a few years time IF and thats a very big if, scotish football is finatualy stable.
  23. time for a bit of damage control me thinks...
