  1. I think you're missing his point. You are saying we shouldn't assume the club has done anything wrong as the underpayment may have just been an admin error as the club claim. Modernist is saying that's completely irrelevant as what the club have done wrong is paying anyone as low as minimum wage in the first place.
  2. I think it's more understandable if it's an extension triggered by first team appearances. I'd say it's fair to assume that if he's in a position for it to be activated, it's because he's been consistently selected and therefore good enough to warrant the extra year. Doesn't change the fact that I think whatever formation we play of however we set-up tactically...he's the one starting player I'm not convinced by.
  3. I can't take the time to reply to all of that whilst I'm at work, I may come back to it later...but there's so much in there that just flits between nonsense and actually wrong. As for my last part, I'm using word-play to refer to the fact that whilst volume and foot-stamping may portray strength, it generally has the opposite effect and hides weakness. But as has been already said, I suspect you knew that. The exception is if you have the entire media and establishment on your side and the strength just comes from sheer numbers and positions of influence, which is why it works for Rangers/Celtic, and is a bad idea for us.
  4. Are you of the view that "having fight" is most productively displayed in the Scottish MSM? Or is it perhaps better within the confined offices where it doesn't add to an already biased journalistic agenda? Everyone seems to be complaining that the media in this country is purely concerned with pandering to the Rangers/Celtic angle and the whole "self preservation" thing. How can it then be the wrong and "weak" stance to decide to completely by-pass the media and cut them out of the equation? If you're actually hoping for any kind of results that is..... Also, why when Steve Robinson keeps his powder dry on the matter in public it's strong, yet when Alan Burrows does it it's weak? If you're of the opinion that the people you want fighting for you are the ones that are the loudest, then I can only assume you've been on the wrong end of a few tankings in your time and aren't sure why.
  5. That was unintentionally hilarious, he was basically David Brent the whole way through. As for saturday, stay at home, 3-0 loss, move on. Cant be bothered with it anymore.
  6. Its supposed to be us on the radio, even the EPG says it's our game.
  7. I still think we've got our Moult replacement in Fisher. Different style, but I 100% believe there's goals there if he can get off the mark and a run of games. He's a very good player.
  8. Conceding posession isn't chasing the game. We absolutely contained Celtic brilliantly in the first half with, I believe, the intention of switching it up around the 55/60 minute mark with a change or two. It worked perfectly until the goal, and even at that point all it caused us to do was bring our plan forward by 10 minutes or so. The penalty changed the whole thing...that doesn't happen, we are able to stick to our game plan and it would have been an extremely different 2nd half. Even in the short time between the 2 goals Tanner was already getting some joy down the left, that wasn't just by chance. People can say it wasn't going for us all they want, but that game was going exactly to plan until Forrest's goal, and even that didn't alter it too drastically.
  9. I think the days of away fans being pelted with all manner of stuff from the upper tier of the Copeland (Broomloan? I can never get them the right way round...), put an end to an upper/lower split.
  10. Theres absolutely not a chance in hell that Celtic are (were) more bothered about Sunday than tonight. This game was everything they see themselves as being about, and have been royally embarrassed in front of everyone.
  11. Im sure you understand the concept of emphasis by exaggeration.... Attempts at pretty football are pointless in this game, we'll get destroyed. Get the ball and smash it into the box, and concentrate on the front men getting into good positions early before their backline has a chance to set itself.
  12. Two things we do have, are guys with excellent and accurate delivery (most of the time), and guys that are strong and good in the air. The fact that Centre Back including Craig Gordon dealing with crosses is Celtic's weak point means there's only one tactic to play for me. If we win this game our goals will come from balls into the box. If we spend 90 minutes firing 50 balls at their penalty spot, and get joy from just two of them. I'll be more than happy. (Although I'm also not convinced that would be enough).
  13. I'd have Higdon in my Top 5 Motherwell players of all time, let alone my top 25. He's certainly been my favourite, maybe aside from Corrigan but then I'm a tad biased there. Looked a great event, and one of those ones that makes me wish I was local. Well done to all involved!
  14. That's not what I'm saying at all, I was talking purely about the 3 Celtic games. I completely disagree with the above.
  15. Obviously everyone's thoughts at this stage come from "a feeling", but with the final being the first of the 3 games I think that works in our favour and my "feeling" is that we'll win the final and then take an absolute tanking over the 2 league games. Be delighted with that tbh.
  16. Sorry to post off topic, but when the guys get home from Dundee.... If you thought Sunday, and all the fallout since then was funny, wait until you see the timeline and footage of how the end of the Rangers v Killie game played out. I was honestly, honestly in tears laughing. I couldn't get up to Dundee in time after work for our game, but I am so glad I was at home to see that unfold in real time. Utterly utterly fantastic...genuinely couldn't write it and there's no way I'd have thought the point-and-laugh hilarity of the last few days could be topped so soon, but Kilmarnock have just done it. STATEMENT!!!!!!
  17. Apologies for starting this early, obviously we still have Dundee players lives to endanger before we start troubling Edinburgh crematoriums, but.... A couple of my Hibee mates are planning on driving through on Saturday and have no troubles with how to get to Fir Park, but were just wondering where's reasonable to park for away fans? I've actually only been round that side of the ground about twice in my life, and was wondering if there's anywhere around that side, or if they are better just doing the walk from the Civic etc? Cheers in advance!
  18. If I remember rightly, was there not a semi-final graphic that was designed before the last Q/F between us and Aberdeen had been played that said Celtic v Hibs - Aberdeen v Rangers, that was actually released by mistake? I swear I saw it but can't for the life of me find it again...
  19. They can't take any retrospective action against Moult because the ref booked him at the time. Retrospective action only counts for things that were missed, which is why Alves gets mentioned as he wasn't even spoken to for that incident.
  20. Im actually finding this quite difficult to narrow down! Higdon, Anier, Ainsworth, Humphrey, McFadden, McCormack...all have a few contenders each. I remember Dougie Ramsay smashing one in from 30 yards on the last day of the season at Dunfermline around 98/99, and Tommy Coyne backheel vollying in a corner at the same ground on opening day...maybe 95/95ish? Karl Higginbotham's overhead kick is right up there with the best.
  21. Jutkewicz in the 6-6 game is the best goal i've ever seen in the flesh.
  22. First time I ever heard about Louis Moult was when my mate from Stoke messaged me and said "I heard yous have just signed a guy I play 5's with"
  23. Also if it's 5,000 everyone will complain that no-one made the effort to go, and if it's 10,000 everyone will complain that folk went who don't normally go.
