Valverde would be good, then we would see how good a manager he is by turning the dross we currently have into a decent team, its easy to manage the likes of Messi, but could he do anything with Lamie?
Tesco Express would struggle to do anything with Rickie Lamie.

May already have been mentioned on here, but Jason Cummings and Ross Stewart are rumoured to be coming in.
personally I would like to see Greg Stewart at Motherwell. Not getting a game for Rangers.
One of my best mates is good pals with Jason Cummings and a load of the Hibs/ex-Hibs boys. I'll ask if he's heard anything.

Watching the new series of Class Of '92, spotted Greg Strong in a meeting with Gary Neville as Chief Scout at Salford.

They need over 8 million just to make it to the end of the season, and already need around 14 million to make it through the following season....and that's as it stands without any further debt that accrues between now and then. Since 2012 they have made a net loss of around 85 million, and don't have a single major trophy to show for it.
Rangers won't be dominating anything in years to come, they are Martyring themselves to stop Celtic getting 10-in-a-row.
Steven Gerrard has spent multiple 10's of millions on players and hasn't won anything in a league packed with players that are genuinely terrible, and it took him 2 years to even look a good side with that money. I can't see how anyone could think he's done a teriffic job by any way you measure it.

2nd bottom is we are in reality, if we hadn’t got those free 6 points. That’s the true reflection of where we are this season
I'm not sure you know what the word reality means.

This season gets more interesting as everyone will be upping their game to try and get into squad. Tony Watt must be thinking there is a chance, cant be worse than mcburnie burke or paterson. Also just a suggestion (dont shout at me) but how about seeing if billy gilmour was available on loan?. Would be desperate for Scotland squad and would definitely be great for us.......I know it's far fetched but if you dont ask
Billy Gilmour? The Billy Gilmour that was starting and racking up MOTM awards for Chelsea until his injury?

I dunno why they are voting on anything when there's already a full set of rules that have been in place for years.
Original game goes ahead regardless. If the other team only has 6 available players then their keeper can come out, any man save and we can't shoot from our own half.
Don't mess about with an established system.

NOW WE HIT JERUSALEM!!!
Genuinely what I expected our penalties to do.
I would never have expected a professional side's approach to a game to be AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHH KICK IT!!!! Turns out I was wrong.

Quite the imagination
Im not angry at all. I have an opinion and try to back it up with as much facts as I can. Id imagine an angry rant would be more along the lines of "Robinson is shite just cos! Sack the cunt" which I have never said. I did have a bit of a rant in the Turnbull thread, but again if you had bothered to read it I clearly said the deal we agreed was shocking IF it was indeed less than the amount we accepted last time. I am still of that opinion, the fee was "undisclosed", we will never know what we got so what is the harm in discussing it? Or is discussion not allowed here?
Thats the thing, Ive put a post up and had the usual suspects just reply with "you talk shite" , "I could reply,but..." yet no actual constructive response. In regard to transfers, I asked what Robinson did that no other manager could possibly have done to get us fees for Cadden, McKinstry, McAlear, Hastie, Turnbull, Scott, Kipre? And in regard to league form, what has he done to improve us since we sold James Scott?
But yeah, go on insinuating Im rampaging round the house in a fury so you can look cool with a smart comeback on an internet discussion forum
Clearly too smart for you to understand in that case.
It wasn't about "looking cool with a smart comeback on an internet discussion forum", and it wasn't literally imagining your home life.
It was taking the tone of your posting style and the type of scenario your posts address, and projecting it into a real life example in order to show how ridiculous they are when you put them in a relatable context.
For example, you just admitted you had a "bit of a rant" at something that you had no idea whether it even happened or not. And the fact that people notice, whether you agree with their criticism of you being constructive or not, shows that it's not the only example. The way you respond to random suggestions of player signings by posters who could be 12 years old, or 76 years old, or new to the game, or just don't know too much about football, or play too much Football Manager, as if they are actually happening or have been suggested by the club, with the tone of "if these are the type of players Robinson is looking at then i've had it its P45 time!!!!" (I'm paraphrasing...) is very weird to read.
I acknowledge that you are not one of the "Robinson is shite just cos!" band, and you do have your reasons for the things you are critical of, but the crux of the point I am making is that, more often than not...your reasons are things that either havent happened, won't likely be happening, or we have no idea if they happened.
And you will more than likely disagree with that, and believe that you don't come across in that way or don't have that tone, but you don't get to decide how you come across....that can only be determined by the reader, you merely get to decide the intent. So when lots of people who have no link to each other pick up on it, maybe you need to look at your posts with fresh eyes and see how you actually come across, as opposed to how you intend to come across.
There's your " actual constructive response".

I don't remember a post you've made where you weren't angrily ranting at absolutely nothing at all, or things that havent/might never happened.
I imagine you being at home like, "I just sat on the fucking couch! What if that couch hadn't been there! I'd have fell on the floor for fuck sake! But it's all fine though I'll just break my hip to go with the embarrassment of being the only house in the street without a couch."

£9.99 per month, or £99.99 for the year. Premier Sports have all Scottish knockout games (League & Scottish Cup) if you buy the channel on their website you can get it for £80 for the year by using the promo code GLASGOW80 (for Glasgow Warriors, they also cover Pro14 Rugby) or call them and see what they offer. Last year they had an introductory deal of £49 for the year for new customers
It's only £9.99 per month if you take the 6 month contract option. If you want to subscribe for one month only, it's £11.99

People really should not take friendlies too seriously though.
Good luck in your mission to instil rational thinking in Old Firm fans. Surely no-one has tried that yet so let us know how you get on.

Hard to arrange anything else, travel restrictions were still in place until last week and lower league clubs aren't back in training yet so you're left with other SPL clubs. Rangers and Celtic will be able to play more games due to the bigger squads and budgets for travel etc.
We shouldn't bother showing pre-season games as it gives fans the wrong idea that it's anything other than a kick about, but I can see why they did it to test the streaming plan for season ticket holders.
Oh i'm fully aware that it's a fitness and shape exercise, but OF fans don't care about that and a week of "hilarious whatsapps" before the season has even started, isn't likely to get me buzzing for it.

There is no one else to play other than the other teams in our league.
Yeah we're obviously limited in that respect, but I think I'd be doing everything I could to avoid creating a "ahh ffs" air amongst the fans if we're hoping to start the season well. Not saying for a second that we wouldn't lose in friendlies against anyone else, but I also don't have to suffer a week of laughing emojis, gifs and memes on my phone for a week after we lose to anyone else.
I'd be going out of my way to create a feel-good factor...or at least avoid a feel-shite factor, just a bit counter-productive if we're hoping for a strong start I think, that's all.
-
I can't for the life of me understand why we'd arrange these as our pre-season friendlies.
I mean, yeah it's pre-season and all about fitness and the result doesn't matter, but surely thinking that getting your arse handed to you by the Old Firm under any circumstances, and the fallout we have to put up with as a result, will do anything other than send the fans into the season in a rotten mood, is massively naive?

As I could watch from a very good distance away from anyone else.
I don’t think you quite understand here. I have no problem at all with scouts going to watch games in a normal state but not during a pandemic where players and all club officials there will have to go through strict testing procedures. If fans aren’t allowed then other clubs employees not involved in the game shouldn’t be allowed.
You are absolutely correct, I don't have the slightest idea what you're on about. Do you think a scout's attendance hasn't been arranged well in advance with procedures put in place, and that he's just rocking up to the gate spitting and coughing on people? That we've gone to all the expense and trouble to regulate every session that has happened since restrictions allowed, and documented it on camera for public viewing...only to allow any random scout to just walk in and undermine it all? It will be strictly regulated and arranged in exactly the same way as a referee turning up to officiate a game.

For a “behind closed doors game” it’s pretty disappointing the club are allowing other clubs officials in to watch the games but not our own supporters.
You've posted some nonsense in your time but this tops everything! They aren't going to watch the game, they are going to evaluate something that they want to buy!
If you think that trying to sell something to someone for as much money as you can, but saying they can't come and have a look at it, is a good idea...then I hope you're not in charge of anything at your work.

I love Richard Tait and i'm sad to see him go, but if that's his honest benchmark for what looking fit and playing well is, then perhaps the outcome is best for all concerned.
