  1. I don't see how the club can assure that the game won't wind up on the internet....

I understand where there coming from as they obviously want Fir Park to be mobbed though.

Hope to fuck it is on the net cos its a huge game for us and I'd love to see it!

I can promise u that the game will be on the net. Already announced:

    http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports

It'll be on danish telly and therefore streamed online as well...

  2. Hi again,

just wanted to congratulate you and cheer you on ahead of the vital game against Odense next week. Really hope you go through because you deserve it.

Motherwell will always have a special place in the hearts of us at Breiðablik as being our first European opponent. Hopefully not the last. As I speak the club is now making a special cabinet at the stadium in honor of Motherwell for being our first oppenent in Europe. It will showcase the clubs jersey, flag and some other items. Its part of our history now.

We are currently still very much in the hunt for the League title, trailing IBV by two points with 6 rounds to go!!!

Best of luck in the future.

    Thor.

    Hi Thor

No danish sympathy here, eh? That's ur last motorway and bank save being paid from ur big brothers in Denmark....!

Seriously, congrats on ur european debut. U did well even tho u got knocked out by the Well...

    Take care up north!

  3. If we had brought 6-700 drunken Danes anywhere in Europe, there would have been a small brawl aswell. I'm not that worried about going to the game in Motherwell, eventhough there was that small fight outside Ryan's a few hours before the game.

So a few guys traded some punches? Who gives a rats ass, excuse my language!

As far as I've heard, there weren't any trouble after the game. The few hours I got to enjoy at Ryan's after the game was just as great as before the match.

I can't wait to go to Motherwell next week and meet all the guys, I met last night. David, Dino, Fraser, Mark and all the rest I can't remember 'cause of the beers :whistling: .

Hope you all had a good time in Denmark, and that you had a nice trip home.

Hey, take it easy folks. There were some minor incidents before and after the game but nothing more than any other normal night out. It just gets blown out of proportions when it's football fans involved!

The danish police tend to overeact and are veeeery keen to stop anything small developing into something worse. It seems to work overall but in the nick of things it can be concieved as a bit over the top.

The well fans I met, spoke to and drank with were good fun. I think u lot behaved well and in complete compliance to what an away trip should be all about.

Looking forward to round two at the pitch and in the pubs next thursday... ;o)

  4. to be fair its the arseholes who cant handle their drink and get lifted who make us look bad!

Well, I thought ur fans conducted themselves pretty good. Some had a few too many and were a bit on the provocative side after the game, but all in all: A nice and wet (and it wasn't raining!!) day and night in good spirit!

Looking forward to the return in the same spirit at the Well in a weeks time!

  5. Thanks. :)

Would taking a few tins into Hans Christian Andersons house be a no no?

Yes, that would be a no no. U can pretty much drink everywhere in Denmark if u don't disturb the public peace too much, but even here in the drinking man's heaven u can't drink in museums... The HCA house will take up about 45 minutes (tops) of ur time - hope u'll survive!

    :drinks:

By the way: The obvious souvenir for u to take home will not be found there but in the sports equipment stores and the official fanshop at the stadium:

    http://www.ob.dk/fanshop/torklaeder/fantorklaeder.aspx

    14£ ish

  6. It's now official that the game is on at 18.00 ur time on TV3 Puls, which is not available outside denmark. But it will be streamed online - usually in good quality. The most popular will probably be:

    http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports

The channels here will not be made public till 14.00 on matchday. Go in a bit early if u have to download the TVU player - it's safe and without virus. Maybe it'll be available in different formats as well - u'll have to check on thursday afternoon.

For those of u travelling. See u in copenhagen and odense!

    :whistling:

  7. For anyone who will be spending some time in Copenhagen, a guy at work recommended a boozer called The Moose. Sounds a bit of a dive to be honest, but it's dirt cheap - approx £1.50 - £2 a pint during happy hour :O

    The Moose

Ha ha ha, would love to see a bunch of well fans crowding up the Moose! It's mostly intellectual students thinking very big thoughts (so they say) in there. The interior is a bit crummy but it's ok for a little while.

I'll recommend the small danish bars if u wanna see what the original copenhagen is all about. Look for the word "Værtshus". 1,5£ for a bottle. Later in the evening head down to town square and check out The Scotish Pub or The Old English Pub. Should be right up ur alley.

My favorite football pub is The Globe Irish Pub If I'm in I'll make sure u get favourable prizes...

    Let the party begin!

  8. That'll never happen though. There have been several occasions in the past when one of the Old Firm have taken the huff with media. I agree they should ignore them but all they do is instead of using that airtime or space to talk about them, is talk about how how terrible it all is that they won't talk to them

Hopefuly one of our Danish visitors will be kind enough to keep us posted about any word of coverage be it online or on satellite?

I'm 99,9 % sure it'll be on one of the danish channels. So far all OBs matched has been on one called "TV3 Puls", but it's not yet been made public wich one this time around - but it'll be aired and therefore available on the net.

I'll make a post in here when I know where it's shown. And likely links to where u can live stream it.

  9. Think im booked up?! Dodgy Thailand internet connection slowed me down

Plane from Aberdeen to Copenhagen and back - £192

Train from Copenhagen to Odense - £???

3 nights in a shared dorm in Danhostel Odense City for just over £100

Leaving on Tuesday returning (very early!!) Friday

Just hoping Big Pie still going to sort me with a ticket, otherwise thats the next thing to worry about??

Oh aye, also flying solo as nae other GD tagging along, so needing a drinking partner. Offers??

    :notworthy:

He he, thumbs of for some of the very alternative travelling plans!

I'm pretty sure the game wont be sold out, so ticket wise u are ok. If it's sold out no away supporter will be rejected at the gates after having travelled that long. We'll place u in the commentator boxes if we have to! :woop:

  10. your name is caca no kaka ya fud so shut yer hole :whistling: .broons team talk is done just stick this up on the dressing room wall

Rest assured, this is no general attitude in Odense. We are aware that this tie is very open.

Caca is on his way out of the club and has played 0 minutes this season, so this is just yet another opportunity for him to let his mouth run.

The club, the fans and the rest of the players look forward to the 2 games against u and take absolutely nothing for granted!

  11. :O

He's obv just had a few too many beers, he's a good lad

More than a few Nancy fans posted here saying we were the best away support their city had ever seen :O:D :D

I've spoken to some of the Aalesund fans as well and there was nothing but thumbs ups for the way u represented urself and ur club up there as well. And I think u'll come in bigger numbers this time so should be gr8 fun!

    :D

  12. and i for one have used your advice to plan my journey and can only thank you for the info. I'll certainly stand you a large malt at Fir Park. Really looking forward to a good time in Odense.

    :O

He he, u'll learn that in Denmark any given pint is usually returned in numbers. As i've said before. Let's have a ball before and after the game. It's only during the game, that we don't want the same thing.... ;o)

  13. Glasgow International or Glasgow Prestwick Airport??

Glasgow Prestwick has a train link from beside the airport into Glasgow central station, video guide Trains operate every half hour (hourly on Sunday's) to/from Glasgow Central Station between the hours of 06:00 - 23:08. All passengers receive free or half price rail travel.

Glasgow International has no direct train, you have to transfer from the Airport to the City centre by road or transfer to another town Railway station in Paisley Gilmour street, Taxi is possible to the city but I think expensive ( unless 4 or 5 people maybe its OK)

bus is the most popular option, every ten minutes from the airport to the city is the Glasgow flyer bus service 500, £4.50 single ticket £6.50 open return ticket and it has good service stops around the city

from Glasgow city its as Bop says Glasgow Central staion to Motherwell central or Airbles the ground is about 5-10 minutes walk from both or taxi are outside the Motherwell central station

some other details on Motherwell club website

Thanks. I'm at Prestwick so train it is. I have plenty of time to get to motherwell from there. I get there the day before the game, so I'll manage... :O

  14. I think I can speak for the vast majority when saying you will be made to feel very welcome regardless of the outcome of the match. We are a friendly bunch, please don't think comments like that are typical.

Good to hear. Actually on the stadium today (yes we lost) I spoke to a mate of mine who's norwegian and went to the game u played in Aalesund. He said u guys got some thumbs ups for the way u behaved up there.

As far as we are concerned, football is party time. Naturally we wanna win, but it's also about seeing new things. Especially in europe. I see u had a fab time in Nancy, and 4ever that city will meen something special to u. I hope u'll think of Odense that way as well!

  15. You can get a train from Glasgow central to Motherwell about once every 30 minutes. You probably actually want to get a train that goes through Airbles station which is in Motherwell but a good bit closer to the stadium and right next to the "Electric Bar" where the Aalesunds supporters seemed to have a good time. Another popular pub is Jack Daniels which is just up the hill from Airbles station on the left hand side. There wont be any need to book train tickets in advance, you can purchase them in the station or even on the train itself.

Cheers for the heads up. As far as i've been able to see it's about a 35 minute train ride? What I do when in Motherwell is not that important as long as I get to the game. I suspect there's a few bars around that can supply me with a sufficient amount of pints... :O)

  16. I hope we pump the life out of you.... Danish Football is wank.

    Good Night.

I usually do this, that is go in and check the opposing side's forum. I've been in here for 2-3 days trying to help u with qs about travelling, accomodation and stuff. And that's the first bad comment I've had all along. That's actually quite good. :O)

If u'll allow me a short commment: Mate, this is just a football match. Pumping someone's life out is something completely different. I done that for a living in the danish army and believe me. I've served with far better british guys than u!

  17. Right back when we where playing Bredablik I singled you guys out as the weakest seeded team that would be in the play offs :O so yes we have been very lucky in that we have the been drawn against the worst best team in the competition :L Hopefully we can sneak past you, our manager has been very very successful tactically and the players are basically a group who know each other well and have very good morale currently! The hibs game will be a big test for us, and could effect how we play against you! But we really honestly don't have/couldn't have had a better chance of progression! and if we do.. Motherwell will I hope build on it! and perhaps next time around we will be the seeded team :D

He he, we cheered YEAH when u popped out of the bowl as well. So maybe we're the weekest of the ties...? No, don't think so, but since we're all happy 'bout the draw, maybe we just wait and see and have a ball over the two ties!?

I just booked my flight to Glasgow. Is it by train I come to Motherwell from there? I'm not sure how many of us that are coming, but I wanted to make sure about my own journey....! From ur posts I see that prices can go up very quickly... :D)

  18. I watched the last 15 mins of the game today fc copenhagen were pushing for the eventual winner and got it. up to that point od had all hands to the pump and defended in great numbers and showed a lot of team spirit.

I agree that the two clubs are very evenly matched, the ace up our sleeve is our manager his tactics haven't failed to impress me over this european campaign.

I'll admit i was pretty nervous the 2nd half against aalesunds but it turned out his tactics were spot on!!!

I'm looking forward to a great game and motherwell has already done us so proud so far we never expected to get this far with such a thin squad.

I hope we don't get any new players in before this game as bedding in new players is not what we need keep the old heads and experience to hopefully get us through to the group stages.

Reading this post makes me think. We've probably got the best and most varied squad in modern danish football time and we've failed big time in our first 5 competitive matches this season. Maybe it's not an advantage having "upset stars" on the bench as we seem to have. Most of our bench would be natural starters in other danish clubs....

Maybe a thinned out squad who knows each other inside out is the way to go!? However 2/3s into the season where the injuries start coming it'll even itself out me thinks....

But no matter what. U guys are so lucky u get us right now. We're a shaky squad right now!

  19. TBH I don't agree. I think because FCK and OB are the two best sides in Denmark the game is more cagey and less of a true reflection of the quality because it is usually those games that where if you lose it is worse for you. I find, a team that is maybe just one inch below you in quality will be a true reflection on what you can do.

Who do you play this coming weekend?

But in football anything to happen, we beat Aberdeen 3-0, they followed this up a couple of days later beating FCK 4-0...

We are playing a presumed bottom of the league team next time. SønderjyskE. Yep thats actually a danish leter: Ø... ;o)

  20. Lets not forget Aberdeen putting 4 past FC Copenhagen a few years ago...

I'm sure Rangers and Celtic(Celtic obviously getting pumped away) have beaten them as well in recent-ish CL Groups.

I know Rangers were lucky with a 2-1 win in Copenhagen a few years back after having drawn in Glasgow. Not sure if Celtic met them... I swear a little pee came out when I laughed my guts out whatching FCK getting their arses kicked in Aberdeen!)

But again, this is football and anything can happen. My best guess is, that our 2 clubs are evenly matched

  21. Who hasn't beat Real Madrid? :D and we beat Man U last season

He he, I'm talking competitive games. When we turned around the 3-2 defeat in Odense in Madrid with our 2-0 victory we entered the quarter final in europe. But as someone commented. History is only good memories and it's tomo that counts (or in this case the upcoming thursday)
