  1. Well, my point is that what u saw tonight is an honest display of the level in danish football. Maybe enuff against u, maybe not. But what u saw tonight, is what u get come thursday...
  2. Lol, I'm not ruling out anything or anybody. A long life in football has taught me, that nothing is impossible and nothing is a sure thing! And judging from ur comeback last time around with Hibs at least we have one thing in common: Never say die! I respect that kind of attitude. It shows dedication and caracter. Oh, one night in Madrid in 1995 I'll never forget. Real Madrid:0 Odense Boldklub:2 By the way. I was speaking with a mate of mine at the stadium tonight who watched the Aalesund game in Norway and u guys got some thumbs ups for the way u conducted urselves up there!
  3. He he, how did the tie breaker end?? Seriously, don't go mistaking the danish teams for saps. In the latter years, danish teams have seen off teams like Ajax Amsterdam (twice), Hertha Berlin, Man U (group stage, man Scum went thru anyways), Liverpool, Real Madrid and others...
  4. I thought it was pretty exciting but then again. I'm a fan and on the stadium. Probably a different approach than urs?! ) Altho there was a lot of mistakes I still think it was an exciting game that could have gone either way. Is the scotish league much better than what u saw tonight? If that's the case, then u are indeed favourites...
  5. Well, I'm glad u got some confidence after our game this evening. Obviously u are now big favorites to progress to the group stages, when we undeservingly lost to a a team who last season beat Man U in the CL... ) By the way. In the two starting line ups tonight there were 20 players who've got more than 20 international caps for their respective countries. Normally considered high standard... ;o) But: I'm happy to hand over the role as favourites to u. Best of luck with the hibs game. Is it away or home by the way?
  6. If u wanna see what we're all about, u can catch our game against FC Copenhagen at 17.00 ur time. We've been runner's up to FCK the last two years, so this game is very important... Channels to be announced at 12.00. http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports I'm off to the game now. Stripes 4ever!
  7. OCC is an ok place to stay! And OB owns the centre so u are supporting our club! A little trick since loads of u guys are booked there: get the centre to order minivan taxies. U can be 9 guys in a big taxi and only 4 in an ordinary one. 9 guys in a taxi actually beats the price of public transportation if u're going to the centre or the stadium..
  8. If price is ur priority try and google: vandrehjem i odense These should be ur cheapest choices. Most of them are not dead center but within 5 miles which costs about 12£ in a taxi. In general: Zip code "5000 Odense" is the centre and the higher u get from 5000 u probably get further away from the center... Happy hunting!
  9. 8 pounds in Oslo seems about right. They got the state's only-rights going on up there. If u go to the fancy cafees in Denmark, u'll be charged ur arse. Like 6-8 pounds, but stick to the ordinary pubs and u're good for 2-3 pounds per pint. And u'll have a much better time whilst drinking.... ;o)
  10. That's about spot on, but that's not what I was charged last time I went to Glasgow!
  11. Ha ha ha, and fair play to u lads. I've had loads of different qs about accomodation and travelling. But the most frequently asked question is: What's the price of beer in Denmark!? Thumbs up, guys. Let's have a ball and see who wins! Ps. By the way the answer is: A whole lot cheaper than in Scotland, that's for sure!
  12. Don't get me started on the Aston Villa tie. We were robbed big time both at home and in Birmingham. 4 (FOUR) disallowed goals - two of them completely nonsens... But u are right, we've had a decent european run the latter years. However, I see this tie as being pretty much even. Maybe with a slight advantage to us. Let's say 60/40 in our favour, but u have the home advantage in the last game, which must count for something.... Anyways. Hoping for victory, whishing for good times!
  13. If kick off is t 20.45 (we're an hour ahead of u) the game ends at about 22.40. With croud and all u'll have to hurry a bit to catch the 23.18 train but it's possible. Maybe a better plan would be to slow down, have a few pints with us and say thanks for the game and go for the one departing from Odense at .50 past midnight?
  14. There are loads of big green areas in Odense. U'll find that the home of Hans Christian Andersen is a fine visit. The area around the ground is called Aadalen and is very nice nature wise. But hell, this isn't Discovery Channel. Stick to the innner city as long as u can,, and we'll walk u to the ground!
  15. Ah, thought it was a reference to Glasgow... I've actually been to Nancy and their square is a bit more central. Much like Copenhagen, actually. In Odense it's more pedestrian streets with the good life flowing around. U won't doubt where u're supposed to be, when u get there. Hopefully the weather will keep up, so we can have a few in the sun before the match...
  16. I tried to google it and found out that Nancy Glasgow is actually on Facebook... ;o)
  17. Odense is just under half the size of Glasgow so it's fairly small. The inner city has a few pedestrian streets where there are lots of out door serving and life in general. It's a 5 minute walk from the rail station. Gather up there and we'll come and say hello! By the way. What's up with calling Glasgow Nancy? I've seen it from loads of posts and find it pretty funny! Is it because u find the city and their fans wusses, girlies, quirs or...?
  18. No question about that we are in better shape than in 2006. We've been runners up the last two years after FC Copenhagen leading at the interval both years only to get caught in the end. But as u say, both teams need to perform to get thru - have to be a couple of exciting games!
  19. Carlsberg and grobut are the most common in the shops but also a lot of cider brands. U can get all sorts of other brands and if u like belgium beer we've got a variety of micro breweries that make very strong and excellent beers. Mind u, if u wanna last to see the game u should probably stick to lager.... ) In bars everything is available. Cider, Guiness, lager u name it. Actually, come to think of it. In Denmark u can probably track down any given beer u please...
  20. Yes u are. This is Denmark. We've got the highest taxes in the world, are legislated in every possible way but if they fuck with our abbility to drink our own beer when and where ever we please, we WILL rise and fight....
  21. Yes we could. But to me its frustrating that these very privileged young guys don't appreciate what they have and work as hard as possible for their team mates, the fans and their club! By the way. For the nerds u can check OBs performances in the past via this link: http://www.ob.dk/info/historie_12378/ob-i-europa.aspx
  22. The icelandic team doesn't measure up to Aalesund. Aalesund is also a step down compared to us but it was a nice comeback at home for u guys. Regarding the Hibs games we won 1-0 at home in the first one and lost 2-1 in Scotland going on on away goals. As far as I recall we led 1-0 till late in the game in Scotland... It was in 2006 - the year we knocked out Herta Berlin to enter the group stage only to miss out with one point after 2 late goals by Parma in the last game. Obviously u support the Well as well as I support OB in the upcoming games. But I respect scotish football. It's honest, to the point and u fight till the end trying to play positive. Thumbs up!
  23. They probably just realized u guys are going in numbers and decided to fuck u over good. Not too nice!
  24. Ha ha, u can hear it from me. Demba-Nyren is a big c**t 99 out of a 100 games! The 1 game in a 100 I wouldn't trade him for anyone in the world.... So much talent, such a lazy attitude that makes u wanna punch him - HARD!
  25. Yes, no problem. There's one departing from odense at 23.48, u'll catch that easily. Otherwise there's one 50 minutes past midnight. Good as well. Make sure u get tanked up with beer and stuff before u board. They fuck u big time with the prizes in the train....
