  1. Yip your probably right . That’s why there not starting . Creative players also need to do the dirty work to . Tracking back ,matching runs as well as being creative . Tough but that’s the modern game nowadays . No different to wing backs . Carson sees it all in front of him . Check his reaction . Imo he’s bang on the money. Being creative but lazy or not aware is no good to any team .

  2. Ultimately it’s players who get managers the sack . And yesterday was a prime example of that . Bigi who is decent with the ball at his feet let his teammates down by basically strolling back instead of picking up the runner . Result ...goal . No wonder Carson went mental with him . Basic midfield attribute is to track your runner . Bigi has had a chance at midfield for a few games now and if we’re relying on him god help us . Tynecastle he fannies on the ball in his own 18 yard box .... result goal . Yeah he deserved his chance but imo he’s blown it . And Robinson knows that if he perseveres  with him them he’s out the door . Think he’ll go back to his way next week whether it’s pretty or not . You can only be loyal for so long .

  3. Could he do a similar job at another club? With good resources and backing I believe he could .  Would he want to go to another club ? . No idea if he could be tempted or not . He is certainly a Well man  though that’s for sure and his dedication to the job is second to none

  4. Don’t think you could find a more dedicated person to run our club especially with the budget he has to work with. Infectious enthusiasm  .  He is first and foremost running the club but it can’t be easy being a fan as well . Head ruling heart stuff . But I’ve got total respect for the job he’s doing . Club feels in safe hands with him at the helm . Talking to a few mates who are fans from other clubs they wish they had what we’ve got with him in terms of integrity and honesty and forward thinking . There must be some bigger clubs having a look at the job he’s doing . To anybody who doesn’t agree fine but just be careful what u wish for . The most important thing for me is he genuinely cares about our great club

  5. Bigi was outstanding. Wow!!!!!. . Bigi was at best average . First 15 mins looked good involved in a lot of the play . After that he steadily got worse . Played centre of midfield against worst team in the league and couldnt control it . His free kicks were woeful and his delivery into the box was pathetic . Fantastic player? . You have seriously got to be kidding . If he’s our midfield maestro we’re in big trouble . In a sentence flatters to deceive .  Not a chance I’d hang my jacket on him to keep us up

  6. 100% correct . Aldred is decent but we need a defender who can play in Kiprés position that being on the right hand side of a back three . With height and pace preferably .  Aldred is a Central defender so imo not required . Hartley and McHugh can do that job . Easy to say though, finding one with that criteria might be trickier . Think we got lucky with Kipre from a buying and selling point of view . Think we need the same luck again

  7. Mchugh is a centre back always has been always will be  . Poor peripheral vision when his back is to goal and passing is average  . Best when he’s facing the play . Think it was derek Adams who converted him  to midfield . Not for me .  Personally I like him at centre back and should be playing there while Hartley is regaining match sharpness . Think he is best in the middle of a back three though and not to the right or left of that position . So with that point we need  a direct replacement for Kipre on right side

  8. Thought that was great piece of business by the club re Kipre . As we got him for £0 Leicester get nowt on sell on fees. He was great entertainment but the hype surrounding him was greatly over egged . Over the last 50 years I’ve seen much better players than him in that position . He was ok and a thoroughly decent person and helped promote the club  and giving us a higher profile but  that’s about it . Having said that good luck to the big man . Definitely got potential and could be right good player over time but for us at this point in his development and from a selfish point of view great piece of business . Well done to all from his recruitment to sale .

  9. Obvious from early on in the game that Hartley wasn’t match fit when their no 9 skipped by him . He also did the same to Kipre in the first half . The second half it was even more apparent . Is it a crisis ? . No way . Hartley mentioned in his interview he was fit but not match fit so very honest response . Just hope that injury/lay off hasn’t cost him a yard . That would be concerning . As for Kipre yesterday . He looked like he’s never played before . Shocker of a performance from a highly rated player but again given game time to sharpen up . So let’s get the team out as close to one that beat Edinburgh for QOS game . Can’t afford to use this game to get players match fit . PS was Campbell suspended or injured ?. Anybody know the situ with Bigi. Surely he’s good enough to play in that game yesterday

  10. A don’t think he’s that bad a player but to be frank it’s the manager who decides where and how you play not the player . Thought he was decent at centre back last season and decent when he filled in there this season . Lots of the support just can’t wait for him to make a mistake and crucify him   . Tbf though it’s infuriating the times he gets caught in procession . Just feel he’s better facing the play . Was one of the reasons we stayed up last year . It’s a tough one as he’s our captain but he’s a defender not a midfielder no matter what he thinks

  11. Having watched mchugh closely this season I’m of the opinion he’s not a midfielder but a centre half which I believe is position he played until Derek Adams decided he was a midfield player. His peripheral vision /awareness is poor for a midfielder and and his passing is poor .When he’s facing the play he looks much better and wins a lot of headers and tackles . So on that basis I see him as a centre half . Big question is does the manager !!!!.

  12. Last time we won the cup we won our last home league game three nil . Think the team pretty much picks itself . Only change from semi final will be mchugh in for the injured rose .  Pretty ok with that as there’s loads of energy in that starting eleven . Bench could be stronger but it is what it is . Roll on Saturday . Let’s get it on  and bring that cup home

Clancy did the semi didn’t he, other than being blind to hand balls and ignoring head injuries he did fine I think.

Best of a bad bunch . Thompson would have been a really bad appointment . Are we still selling tickets or have we handed back tickets we’ve not sold . Unless I’ve missed something the silence has been deafening . Strange .

    What

    What's with the "day-tripper" patter?

If you want a bigger number of fans at the final than turns up for Ross County at Fir Park, you might need to lower your standards to people who only attend a few games.

We should be encouraging as many people along to support us as possible in the hope some come back more often - not labeling them as somehow inferior.

    What’s with the inferior patter.

Depends on your definition of day tripper. I’ll take every Well fan who loves the club to be there on cup final day. So called Well fans with allegiances elsewhere and actually no interest other than a day out  (day trippers)and never any intention of returning to a Well game then not for me . At 2011 cup final spotted a few of them . The semi final against St Johnstone had a better atmosphere among Well fans than final did and stadium was no where near as full

There are plenty of Well fans who have fell away for many different reasons and staying away becomes a habit . Let’s get them back over any day trippers (as per my definition).

  15. Well done Alan . Biggest issue at last cup final was Celtic fans above us . Sorted . Also makes sense to sell a block at a time to prevent it looking sparse .Sorted . Two sections pending depending if we sell out initial allocation but if we do then these sections are ours as well . Sorted . Only thing he can’t sort is getting fans off there backsides and off to the final . That’s down to us . So let’s get as many Well fans as possible (real ones not day trippers) over to hampden as I’ve got a feeling this is gonna be our day . A large support can make a massive difference . They deserve it after that semi . Let’s not have that damp squib support we had in 2011. Let’s get our end rocking . There nothing better than winning and saying I was there.

  16. The much maligned Andy Rose did well to get his header back into the area for the goal and McHugh did a great job taking out Berra. We are a handful at set pieces . Most teams know that but still struggle to defend against it . Been saying since the McCall days we were neither fit enough strong enough or big enough . McGhee also never addressed it . Robinson has though thats for sure . Dont see this team getting bullied at places like tynecasle as we did in previous years . And a mention to our goalkeeper . Superb again yesterday . Class act . Remember Samson
