I'm sure McGhee said that Kennedy and Blyth were back training. I wouldn't be expecting McHugh before Christmas; post concussion syndrome is a horrible, horrible injury and can take months to recover from. -
Where's this information coming from? I can't find anything online about it at all.
-
I very much doubt it, but I'll ask him when he's back in tomorrow!
-
Ditto; my Director is a 'pool fan and they love him down there.
-
I can't blame him for wanting to move on; it was no secret that letting him move on was part of the original deal/discussions when he signed. The manner in which he's went about it however, I'm not happy with at all. IF he ends up staying, gets his head down and plays well until January, fine. It won't change my feelings about how he (and his agent) have handled the situation and he'll get all the abuse he warrants for that from me, frankly.
-
By handing in the TR he's devalued himself as an asset for the club, as any bidders now know he wants to leave. I'm hoping the club have the resolve to hold out for a decent sum/valuation of him, particularly considering how much players of his type have been going for of late.

A left back would be lovely, please. Oh, and a keeper who doesn't provide assists to the opposing team, too.
-
Marvin for me; difficult to ignore a goal and two assists! Mentions to Moult and Cadden.
-
I was about to say the same; I think the sponsor looks great on this shirt. Adds a bit more contrast and depth to it.
-
I don't know if we do or not; their fans seem to suggest that we don't as it's an international transfer but I thought that 'window' as it were was closed now? I know we used it to sign Porter compensation free but that was years ago.
-
It's higher than where Moult and Johnson were playing before they signed... but aye. It's not the best, particularly having endured watching Accrington Stanley for 2.5 years.
-
Apart from the gaping hole in the middle of the park, you mean?
-
Certainly beats Freddy Dindeleux in the Club Shop, as posts in this thread go... I should add.. great news if it happens.
-
I'd be surprised if Watt steps up based on what I've seen of him so far. He steadied the ship a bit at East Fife (Law was getting a roasting that night) but equally, Watt has been roasted on the occasions I've seen him play there in the SPFL last year. The old cliché of 'perhaps a pre season with McGhee' can be rolled out here; I sincerely hope it'll help him progress on to a 1st team player but I've yet to be convinced.
-
He only played 11 times last season, hardly what I'd term as a regular.
-
I'm sure I saw McGhee said somewhere that it's him or McDonald for another year. Maybe waiting on Skippy making up his mind, or selling another to fund both?
-
Similar idea to ice hockey; they did away with 'Tie' games in the NHL and went for a shootout after a 5 minute Over Time and it meant there was always an extra point up for grabs if the game went the full distance. I understand it in a sport like hockey where there's 82 games a season and winning shootouts/OT games could make the difference or not to making the playoffs, but in a sport like football (even in a group structure like this) it seems a bit tacky/not relevant as much.
-
Ferguson looks like he could really develop, Moore needs another shot and Samson means we have an SPL quality keeper... On the budget that most folk are mentioning on here I'm quite happy with those.
-
Leaving tomorrow afternoon on the long drive north... thank God I'm off work the rest of the week.
-
Stop talking sense, you. This is not the place for such opinions.

This. I had the fear up until a few weeks ago that we'd keep slipping down the league and be in danger again. To be in the Top 6 with a striker on the verge of 20 goals in his first season and another closing in on 15, along with the young players we're bringing through (Cadden, Hall (if he stays, going by the rumours) etc.) and the others that we have tied to (relatively) long contracts that are going to be sellable assets, it's a tremendous turnaround. Credit to Mark McGhee and the management team, as well as those running the club. We're in an ever improving position and I can only echo the comments people have made re: McGhee being the right man for the job. I wasn't convinced at first but I can see him really developing our players and putting the foundations in place for a proper conveyor belt of talent to come through.

At the minute I can't see Hibs even making the playoff; I really fancy Falkirk the way they're playing just now (granted, Hibs do have three games in hand over them).
-
They did for the last goal; you can hear Mr Mullen and Mr Barnstaple going mental for the MFC Radio coverage.

That's just one thing to take into account; I'm 25 minutes or so away from FP and also have a wife with a chronic illness whose health is particularly up and down. I could easily plan to go to these events and then end up having to stay at home with her, or worse still end up at A&E with her; it's happened before and we've lost a fair bit of money we'd already spent on tickets etc. because of last minute cancellations - we simply can't afford to keep doing that all the time, unfortunately. Childcare/family and commitments along similar lines will always come first in situations like these, I find. The only example I have of it not being the case (for me, anyway) was the 2011 cup final; my wife (then fiancée) was in the Victoria Infirmary, so I was able to visit, get to the game and go back to visit after it.

Great listen in work this afternoon lads, well played. Keith openly declaring his love for Jim Gannon and how much he was 'shiteing' it before the playoff games were particular highlights.
