Quite a few people have told me "they know a guy" that was told this by green in the queue for rangers season tickets. So might be an urban myth? The version I heard, he also intimated that they will have an orange away kit next season???
-
It will be, always is at ibrox. I'm looking forward to it, but dreading the thought of losing!!
-
I think the potential for aggro at ibrox is being massively overhyped! The worst you're likely to get is the odd snide remark, and over fussy policing and stewarding. I can't think of a single time I've felt physically threatened at ibrox or parkhead.
-
Stephen Hughes played right mid that day, but hately did have probably his worst game in a Motherwell shirt against templeton, and we missed Jennings, which allowed black to dominate midfield. Think we beat them at least 2/3 other games though I think.
-
The £1 ticket thing is just some bullshit that Charles green told some knuckledraggers while he was selling them season tickets. He's not allowed to do it. I don't expect him to keep his mouth shut in the build up to this one!! It will probably be on tv, but I still fancy going!!
-
They WILL get an SPL team, as the draw is seeded. I only want them if we can win!
-
Went for Kerr. Randolph pulled off a couple of great saves, and ojamma and murphy both put in some shift. Nobody really played badly (or none of the starting 11 anyway).
-
I doubt that! Like him as a player, and I've heard from an Ayr fan he's a good guy (in fact I'm sure he was celebrating his imminent return to ayr on loan a while back?). Apparently went and stood on the terraces at Somerset with his mates when hearts weren't playing, which I kind of like.

It'll be hot rain though!

This isn't champ manager, fantasy football or man city we are talking about. £200k for a player who can sign a pre-contract in January is good money. All but the top young SPL players are basically worthless in the transfer market, as most are on short deals, and move from team to team when out of contract, that's how we bring them in too. If you think we should be holding out for much more than £200k for Humphrey, you're deluded sadly, that's the market we are in.
-
I don't think £200k for hump is bad business at all, he has attributes (ie pace) that can tear teams apart on occasion, but he doesn't appear to know how to use it unfortunately. Add to that, law, ojamma, murphy and Daley can all play that position, if that's a genuine offer, we'd be daft not to take it. Remember a couple of years back we sold Paterson, and bought back hammell with a £100k profit. If we were able to do something similar, or even free up wages to bring someone in, would be fine with me. Edited to add: great for Humphrey his wages would double, treble, maybe quadruple if he went to Celtic, I presume he wouldn't be eligible for the champions league though, which may be a small stumbling block??
-
The thought crossed my mind too, as you say, presumably they had a camera running behind the goals, and Thompson seems to be a favourite for their tv and radio shows...
-
Aye, agree with that, wouldn't necessarily want him at fir park for his off the park behaviour, or is attitude on the park when the chips are down. Such a waste, as on his game you'd pay to go and watch him, I reckon he could've had 20 caps and play at the lower end of the EPL if he wasn't such a waster. Imagine a guy like him with the attitude and dedication of someone like clarkson.
-
Humphrey often on the pitch appears to have problems with his hamstrings, probably nothing to worry about.
-
Riordan at his best (which may be past now?) is a fantastic talent that should make you want to buy a season ticket, not hand it back, unfortunately he is a bawbag though, which is why at 28/29 he is still considered a boy with potential but a bad attitude. I must sound like mark kerrs agent, but surely any experienced defensive midfielder is what we're screaming out for? A replacement for Jennings to let law, and possibly lasley play further forward???
-
Get you now. Wasn't just aimed at you. I'd suggest 2/3, possibly all 3 of the guys mentioned have stinking attitudes, which is why despite obvious ability they are struggling to find clubs, and seem to be on the shelf a lot. That is a valid reason to not want them. I don't know if Kerr falls in to that category though? Was really good at Dundee utd, and was decent at Aberdeen (it's near impossible to succeed at pittodrie, I blame the fans), he's an experienced central midfielder, and that's exactly what we need. Not sure why he hasn't played much last 2 seasons?? Anyway was just a suggestion, he's available, would probably fit into our wage structure, and I think would strengthen our team if he is or can be the player he was for Dundee utd. Also I don't think he is related to Brian Kerr, but I might be wrong?
-
I do agree with that, but taking Clancy as an example, he did a great job for us last season, he had 1 or 2 shockers admittedly, but also had 1 or 2 man of the match performances, and was generally pretty good, and I for one was disappointed (although hardly inconsolable) when he left. Just because they've played for another SPL side doesn't automatically make them crap. Which seems to be the attitude on here.
-
I think when MJC is pointing out folk are being negative, it's time to take a look at yourselves! We're unbeaten in the league, were a minute away from going top of the league, got a European game on Thursday, it's hardly purgatory!!
-
The sad thing is we probably can't afford Mark Kerr if other clubs are interested. I presume mascherano is more the sort of midfielder we're looking for?
-
Mark Kerr. Believe hibs are looking at him, free agent.
-
Maybe a slight exaggeration?
-
Hateley was holding his groin last 5 minutes, and McCall commented on injuries in his post match interview. In this case it would be Kerr for hately, carswell for law, and probably Daley for higdon (that's who McCall will pick, I'd go mchugh), and Ojamaa would get a reprieve and stay in starting xi.
-
Agree steelboy, I'd rather pay money to watch panathinaikos, but levante are better, if not as easy on the eye. Folk comparing a team that beat real Madrid last season, finished 6th (and I believe they blew 4th in last few games) in la liga with stmirren, hearts or Dundee utd is ridiculous!!! Stmirren, hearts, Dundee united and Motherwell at their best could play Real Madrid every Saturday from now until the end of time, and NEVER beat them. Given if we played levante 10 times we'd maybe pick up a few points, much like playing the old firm.
-
I'd like to see.. Randolph Hately Hutchison Cummins Hammell Humphrey Lasley Carswell Law Higdon Murphy Feel ojamma is more effective as an impact sub, carswell in, as we are lacking a bit of dig in the middle of the park. That could be a 4-5-1 with murphy wide left and law in front of lasley and carswell.

I had a look last night to see where we were staying in relation to the city centre etc, and it looks like the stadium is about 2-3km out from the city centre. It has a metro stop, but would probably need to change trains to get from either of the main squares or drinking areas to stadium, not sure what there is down at the beach? But the metro runs direct from the beach (platja de les arenes) to the stadium.
