I really enjoyed Bucharest - the bars were good, the food was good, the weather was great, the people were friendly and the women were amazing!!!
The atmosphere created by the Steaua fans was fantastic and that's with an open air stadium too. Would love to hear that kind of atmosphere in a roofed stadium.
Not a big fan of the taxi drivers though

Anyone staying at The Central Hotel and arriving on the 13:40 KLM flight to Bucharest tomorrow?
Just noticed that the hotel does a shuttle bus for 10-25 EUR, depending on numbers(one-way) if we have the numbers??
Anyone interested, need to book in advance?
-
Thanks.....are we likely to be bombarded with anything?
It will be fine - am sure we'll have a great time.
-
Where ye staying mate? Did you take the shuttle bus fae the airport?
-
Get money at the ATM machines at the Airport on arrival.
May need to confirm this but if staying around the Hotel Incontinental, i believe this is the Financial Centre of Bucharest so should be plenty of ATM's here, is this correct Mr Harrow??
Found this online;
Credit cards
Major credit cards including American Express, Mastercard and Visa are accepted in large hotels, car rental companies and stores in the main cities. However, credit cards are unlikely to prove useful in small towns or away from tourist areas.
Travelers' Checks
Preferably in US dollars or Euros, Travelers' Checks can be cashed in large banks, some hotels and selected exchange offices but most of them charge considerable commissions. Do not count on cashing such checks outside Bucharest and a few other major cities. For travel around the country it is a good idea to carry cash. Small stores and restaurants might accept U.S. Dollars in small denominations ($ 1, 5, 10 and 20) but the exchange rate offered will not be the best. Street handicraft vendors prefer Romanian currency.

Would that be this place??

Might be better going for the hotel bar. But I'm not fussed either way.
AK
Yeah that's the place(i had no idea what it was like just seemed well-shown on maps) - It was just a meeting place for us before finding a bar somewhere along street.
Not easy to pin-point a bar when you've never been in Bucharest.
