I always thought St Mirren was grass not plastic. I’m sure there was a big deal made of this when they built the stadium. Grew the pitch first to make it a top class playing surface etc. Always was grass and a good pitch at that. Edit to add - it is grass and not plastic, or so it says on their Wiki.

Now that the diddy cup group stages are over with what’s everyone’s expectations or predictions for the season ahead. League - 8th place. Safe from relegation however anything more a bonus. Aslong as we finish above Accies. League Cup - Quarter Final Scottish Cup - Last 16 Player of the Year - Richard Tait Young Player of the Year - Allan Campbell Top Goalscorer - Curtis Main Season wishes - Too pump Celtic at least once this year. Preferably in a Cup however can’t see it. Also for us to get a decent break from referee’s and for one or two youngsters to cement a place in the team like Campbell and Cadden.

Got to agree in relation to the comments on Gorrin. The first half our midfield were anonymous and it was crying out for someone to try and get on the ball and play some passes. I definitely think he offered this. Game itself was atrocious first 60mins. Utterly awful and we look lethargic, one dimensional and just turgid. Picked up second half however. Certainly the result was more important than the performance. Sammon is clearly more effective when the ball is played to his feet. Good header for the goal tho. The Defensivley is a cause for concern, none of them look sharp. Maguire certainly doesn’t offer any less than Donnelly that’s for sure. Considering Robinson’s continual emphasis on cross balls our delivery into the box is actually utter shite. Gorrin again however improved this at corners at least. Anyone know when the draw is?

I find it difficult to knock Robinson for a lot of things however this is one thing that I do find depressing. No youngster on the bench at all or last week. Seems our ethos is changing.

Yeah agree if we go ahead we should bring on a youngster...... oh wait. Ah we need to even have one on the bench. Ok that would help.....

What’s it like parking at the stadium. Is it a nightmare to get out at full time?

I really don’t want to start over reacting to essentially what is a pre season poor showing. However I can only echo what others have said. The team is crying out for a ball player in midfielder. The thought of Robbo picking McHugh, Rose and Grimmy at the same time over the likes of Bigi, Turnbull and even Gorrin, in the limited time I have saw of him, to lump it to Connor Sammon is actually depressing the life out me. It also just shows you how badly we miss Campbell when he doesn’t play. He is our inspiration and our drive.

No two ways about it, that is utter shite. Zero creativity in that team clear to see. Missing 4 pens out of six for premier league full time footballers is embarrassing. Hopefully a right kick up the arse for them all.

See if everyone in the world was the exact same and had the same likes/dislikes and turn ons it would be a right boring as fuck place.
