Good 3-1 win for the U/20's tonight at Fir Park v Accies.
2-1 half time.
Goals from Daley, McHugh and Murray capped off a solid display against an industrious Accies xi.
Good result after Sunday's cup exit shock.

The Daily Mail's assertion that Blackburn Rovers are considering replacing Steve Kean with none other than Henrik Larsson! The Swede has been at the helm of minnows Landskrona since hanging up his boots last year and his contract expires at the end of this season, meaning there would be little compensation to pay to bring him to England (there is a release clause of 65 grand, apparently), and that alone should endear him to Venky's, with the fact that he has shown a middling amount of managerial promise during his time at Landskrona being a happy bonus for employers who have never seemed too bothered about such trifles. Other names said to be in the frame for an Ewood Park circus ride are Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Mick McCarthy, Stuart McCall, Tim Sherwood and Alex McLeish.

And how the fuck would we finance all that.....one of the reasons already given for the recent poor showing of the '20's is that there are so many lads eligible for that group already part of our 1st team squad, and therefore are relying on even younger kids to play for '20's.
Duh really? read my post again...not my problem how to finance that. I just agreed with Finlay about the reserve league coming back and threw in the U20s league.

Think we will easily make the top 6 but don't think we will be anywhere near 2nd. Hearts & Utd are mince just now but will improve (look at how strongly Utd finished last season) & both have the ability to strengthen in the January transfer window. On current form i don't think we are much better than the sheep & Hibs always give us a hard game as do Killie.
Relegation battle? Fuck off

Noah, what is going on at this level at the moment? I think we have played five or six games, winning one and losing the rest. Some of these games have featured the likes of Hollis, Carswell, Daley, Hetherington, and McHugh.
These players not taking the U20 fixtures seriously? Playing with much younger team mates who are struggling with the step up? The youth players at rival Clubs being of a better standard? The management not being the best? A bit of everything?
I wish we could see the return of the reserve league.
Yes I would as well. First team, Reserves and the youth league U20s.

Young teams are always going to be inconsistent. In some ways I'm sorry we got our TV deal as I would have liked to have seen the SPL clubs working on development of home grown talent for a few years. In other ways, I'm glad we got our TV deal because I would very quickly get pissed off by the significant number of fans who would be endlessly moaning that sometimes young players aren't as consistent and experienced as the best senior players we used to have at Fir Park.

The rest of the team looked out of there depth.
Having said that the team played slightly better today.
Humph and Cummings deary me.
Celtic could only play the long ball over the top most of the game and if we didn't score for them it may have stayed one nil...
