We are one game in and we need new players
-
It's gone to shit since I left 🤣. Seriously. If a steward is badged we are supposed to search primarily for weapons - however I think potentially they aren't allowed to search minors
-
The stewards let Motherwell pyro in - not much difference really is there. It's a stewarding issue
-
They aren't employed by Motherwell. They are contracted in.
-
Potentially not the club - poor stewarding
-
So have I. I went to my first game in 1979 It's not about satisfaction as far as I'm concerned. It's about acknowledging that we can play well and not win - particularly against Celtic and Rangers who we can't compete with in terms of spending I agree - I would also prefer to see us play shite and win but if we play well and lose I see no harm in acknowledging that
-
Injured apparently
-
I see nothing wrong with that to be fair. I was saying the same to my brother earlier. It could go either way - but what's wrong with praising the team if we lose narrowly and played well? I remember the game against Celtic just before the 15 game winless run - we played great and were really unlucky to lose. Are we supposed to say we were shit if we lose even narrowly. I think there's a difference between calling it as it is and talking the team down
-
But as other people have said. Interest might not translate into an offer. We really need Lennon to go in this window. Four million plus add ons is not shabby.
-
You're right but it's the add ons that are also important. Four million quid plus add ons. Id take it
-
I saw that shade 🤣😂🤣

Absolute legend. I'm sure that's legit grounds for divorce... Someone refusing to pay for a takeaway I thought I was doing good drinking my bodyweight in wine at the Cooper... Nope!

I believe the bring a mate for a fiver is something that happens once a season if you have a season ticket. The club tend to use it later in the season - last few seasons it's been when we've needed support to get the team to safety but don't see any reason why it couldn't be used at a Celtic or Rangers game. I personally think they should do that more often -the club won't lose money out of an initiative like that
-
I hope it's been successful for you. That's more than doing your bit. With regards to the season ticket issue I agree that it's the best way re affordability but sometimes work gets in the way for folk. I shared one with a family member a couple of seasons ago because they had to work one in every three Saturdays and they didn't think it was worth buying one for themselves. I was happy enough getting to some games over the season and it worked out ok - because at that point I would have struggled to afford one for myself.
-
Sorry, I misread your post. I actually don't know what we get charged to be at Ibrox - I don't go, assume it's 35 quid.
-
I don't think people were discussing space. They were discussing the price of category A games.
-
Just had a look at the Livingston fc website - they split their prices into three categories - it's 30 pounds for a Livi fan to watch Celtic or Rangers. 28 for Hearts Hibs and Aberdeen. 26 for the rest with concessions and other prices dropping as well depending on who they are playing. I actually think that's quite an interesting way to do it - and there's maybe scope for us to do something similar going forward. We put our prices up this season after a couple of years of freezes so obviously fans who pay at the gate are taking a bigger hit and as has already been said - obviously for some fans they'll just make the decision to watch the game on tv rather than pay 34 quid at the gate. The club said they had to put prices up this season because of a 20 per cent rise in match day costs It's the fan who wants to pay as they go that takes the biggest hit -I certainly wouldn't be able to go if I didn't have a season ticket.
-
I don't go to Celtic or Rangers games at Fir Park - I always make sure someone gets my season through. I've actually sat watching the game in the pub before when someone has had my season to watch the game - last Motherwell Celtic game I saw at Fir Park was probably skippy Sunday. (apart from the ones I stewarded at). It is a lot to shell out for folk who don't have a season ticket
-
We are charging our fans the same apart from the Hunter stand as far as I'm aware.
-
Thanks for the clarification.
-
You may be right so I absolutely will look at that - but that isn't what comes up when you do a search online.- it just says we were due the money because he came through the ranks at Motherwell and was under 23 I'll have a look tomorrow - thanks for that info. Appreciated
-
I thought we got compensation for Johnson because of his age - not because he turned down a new contract. Because he was under 23 we were due a fee under training development A quick Google search will confirm that's why we got compensation for Max Nothing to do with him being offered a contract and turning it down
-
Do your band play only their own songs - do they do Muse covers - asking for a friend
-
Why would you support a team out of defiance. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of Rangers but if Motherwell had been in the same position pretty sure Motherwell fans would have kept supporting the team. Fans aren't to blame for the arse the club made of things
-
This is just a question but how do you know Johnsons plan was to leave us as soon as he could? I get the fact that Miller got more first team games than Johnson but maybe if Johnson had been started more regularly with Motherwell he might have stayed longer?
