We had a year with the option of another which the club chose not to take up
-
I think they have it well addressed in the stuff they've sent out to be fair. I'll just need to read it a bit more closely. No I don't think you can join for life these days I have read it a couple of times but it's a bit wordy so I'll need to go back to it. I think the biggest issue tbh is apathy. People not voting on certain proposals
-
Surely this has to be about aligning the people who paid a lump sum for life membership and who aren't contributing any more with the people who are contributing monthly - and also so that there isn't a situation where people join en masse to get voting rights on certain issues. I suppose it's just about putting everyone on an equal footing - and I get that some people have paid in thousands - so if some people have more benefits than me it doesn't bother me at all
-
I understand. Tbh the well society weren't really on my radar at that point in time but I joined as soon as I could White mostly
-
Im not upset at all. My personal circumstances when I took the membership out in 2017 was that a payment every month suited me (because I was broke) - but I've tripled my payment since I signed up even though I'm not paying a fortune still. Maybe only slightly upset that I could have paid 300 quid and had more money left over for wine (joking).
-
So basically at the outset if someone paid 300 pounds in a one off payment they got life membership? If I'm wrong someone can correct me
-
We got 300k in compensation due to the fact that he was developed by Motherwell Just asked he who knows more than me - my brother and he said he thinks we will be due something but not a massive amount
-
Killie have signed about five players to date I think. We've signed no one. Wasn't expecting us to to be fair given our manager situation
-
One I think at home and other games in the Netherlands and Carlisle
-
We are also in the situation where other teams can afford to pay more than us. St Mirren. Killie. Assume we'll be relying on the usual free transfers and loans
-
Ha! Guilty as charged
-
Just two.. Lightweight
-
Assume from the comments on the official site that the manager had a hand in who was appointed. If he's happy to have him and Max is happy to be here. Good
-
I agree. Wasn't all negative
-
He's been with his wife 18 years. I understand the point you are making but I would think 18 years on and four kids later that she's happy enough to be marrying him
-
I agree. I can't be bothered with it on here just now. Apparently if you like SOD you are persona non grata. It is what is is
-
You're raging because he threw supporters under the bus. I get that but it was months ago and what's the point in keeping digging at him?
-
I'm quite happy to see Kettlewell get married tomorrow. I was one of his biggest supporters but I'm over it and he's moved on and so have Motherwell.
-
I won't be the manager ever. So no need to dig me out eh. I'm entitled to my opinion the same as everyone else. I pay my money to see Motherwell the same as everyone else.
-
We could all argue about this for a year. Some people like SOD and some don't. Sod isn't going anywhere as far as I'm concerned and neither is McGinn but I'm sure there will be other signings coming in and it's up to the manager if they play or they don't
-
Disagree. Happy to keep them both. McGinn has been a very decent player for Motherwell. Don't see any reason to get rid of him
-
The only Depeche Mode song I don't like - apologies to Martin Gore. Even Daves vocals can't save that one
-
Wait no! I told my brother about that one - usually he beats me to everything Motherwell by 30 seconds.

Back in the pub (in Ryde in the Isle of Wight). I usually stay in Shanklin which is beautiful but theres two pubs - one used to be a spoons but it's a Greene King, absolutely stunning pub but the wine is twice the price of spoons - sacrilege!!! The funniest conversation I've ever had in the Isle of Wight was in a Londis shop where the guy behind the counter told me that Dave Gahan from Depeche Modes mum lives on the island and he comes over to see her from America - and cuts her grass. (for some reason I found that hilarious) Sorry to all the young people on here who don't know who Depeche Mode are. (I love Dave Gahan).
