I had a Bolton season ticket 2 years ago and that was incredible value, the season ticket itself was £50 and I believe it still is.
I still go down as much as I can and an adult ticket is cheaper than an adult ticket to Fir park.. Cheaper to watch Bolton playing arsenal, Manchester united, chelsea, man city etc
Ticket prices up here are ridiculous!
Some of our north-west clubs do offer really good value on season tickets, though of course it's those stadia that are rarely full - Blackburn, Wigan, Bolton. I think at Blackburn you can get the best seat in the house for under £400, which is superb value going by EPL prices.
Mine this season is somewhere around £750 but of course that's only for the league games. Then you need to add about £42 a time for champions league and domestic cup games. Scandalous, but inevitable when players are earning over 100 k per week.

Us luddites getting to read about it anywhere else that doesnt require a facebook account
I'm the same. I'm not registered on those things ( I know nothing about them ) and just got a log in page. So I'm trusting the author's word about the book, though I shall be keeping my receipt
By the way, Brazilian, is there a player sponsorship this season, or have we missed the boat there?
-
Enjoyed your reminiscences in your other books, Matt. Let us know when it's released.

Put those claws away, Mr Chomper. Ask a civil question.
At least check your briliantly thought out retorts are spelt correctly. Kinda undoes all that good work.

They finished bottom of the third division last season. Doesn't really get much easier than that!
And it's only a few years since they knocked Celtic out of the Scottish Cup, when they were a Division One side. What caused their freefall, was it money problems?

That was a poor result for Hearts today. Though they're still the team most would look to to split the Old Firm, the club has been a circus since the Lithuanians arrived and it never seems a happy camp. So much internal politics and general craziness can't be good for morale. Are their players at least getting paid these days?
Well that was yesterday. You can always rely on Hearts to provide the off-field entertainment at least

Law's name was mentioned a lot online, LD. It's hard to tell when you can't see the action, but it sounded like he was in the thick of things.
-
On bus the majority of the time. Car if we are making an overnighter of it (ICT).
Good stuff. Let's hope your travels are rewarded this season

Watching the game on Alba and we've had a good bit of possession in the first have but the match is crap ,just crap ,its no wonder the game is dying on its feet ,sterile footie.
Strong words there, Jim. Do you really think the Scottish game is dying? I know it's a whole other thread but why do you think that is, and what needs to be done?
-
It is. Good weather and a nice bit of optimism around the team. The fact both teams like to play decent fitba didn't hurt either.
True. Do you travel to the away games yourself, mate?
-
MUCH louder today. Great effort by the guys down the front. 892 away fans apparently. Killie fans were playing each other at Chess or reading. Only reason I can think of for stadium wide silence.
Almost a thousand away fans for Killie is a good number, yeah? Certainly sounded more like a home game online, with a good atmosphere.
-
Managed to hear the second half online. Sounds like Law had a good game, and as wellfan09 said, another clean sheet.
By the way guys, how many fans on average do Well take to away matches these days? On the radio they sounded much louder than the home support.
-
Think Killie will win this one 2-0. And the full game is on B.B.C Alba channel 8 on freeview at 17:30 Saturday night.
Cheers for that, we'll take a look if we have time, though Gallic commentaryis something else! Glaswegians are easier to understand!

If we move to a new ground ..... and we find fans as daft as this currant bun:
We could get all the POD seats on and they'd pay a mini San Siro themselves.
"Bigot yearns for a gentler past when everyone knew their place".
By the way, Elaneor Roosevelt is an inspiration to progressives everywhere.

I'd still like an Untouchables away shirt in size L/XL if anyone has one to sell. I have the home one and the white away one, just need the claret one to complete the set. Get in touch if you have one.
-
For once I'm in agreement with eddiemunster: Use that shirt ( with club crest ) as your home shirt. It looks superb, much better than this season's new home shirt.
-
-
It would be great if you could sell the full allocation. Anyone know how many tickets Rangers have been given?
-
£20 as well. Was fully expecting £25!
That isn't bad at all. Do you think all 9000 will sell?
-
Thanks for that Joe, a wee quick look at the download hurt my eyes so I closed it quickly.
As for consultation here's my view so you don't need to ask me later.
18 team league play each other twice, no splits, no nothing, just a plain, simple old fashioned football league. We share gate money between participating clubs cos no team can play themselves. Don't care if there;s no TV, we fans put in more money and should be heeded first. If the OF don't like it tell them to FATCALF, they need us more than we need them.
Football's a simple game made complicated by idiots, how true is that old statement?
Less of this communist nonsense, Mr Calf, it'll never work
Surely the modern game is about market forces, tv rights, and customers

Dont ever see the Scottish papers and haven't seen this mentioned before. Maybe should have its own thread and be pinned for a while so people can donate/sponsor.
That's a good idea.
Three years gone already. Receiving the text with that news is still vivid in the mind.
Some of you guys will know the family. Are his wife and children doing ok?

St Mirren next - a further extension of top of the league is very possible.
