  1. Away to watch the second half. More of the same would be great and the ref also needs to be strong; no dodgy Old Firm penalty when they need a goal. Mendes is looking for it !
  2. Quick dash upstairs at half time. Good half, very even, 'Well not looking in awe of Rangers at all. Couple of very good chances at each end, Bougherra's the best of the lot, and what a save to keep that out. Particularly impressed with O'Brien, Coke and the new right back. Hopefully they maintain that standard second half.
  3. Just about to get in front of the telly. Best of luck
  4. Hope you're right, Matt, and we'll be watching fae this side of Hadrian's wall. A win tomorrow would be a massive result for such a young Motherwell side. I would be seriously impressed if they could do it.
  5. Wooooooa, there mate. Bit strong.

Yeah, it seems very reasonable, mate. Whether it's something that could ever be cost effective at Motherwell you guys will know much better than myself. I bet the Old Firm don't do it, or is that me being cynical ?

A cup top-up scheme. Hibs definitley run such a scheme, dunno about any other SPL club.
  8. Cheers. Here's hoping all with a ticket have something to celebrate. We'll be glued to the telly, watching the British champions, as I've been reminded for the millionth time
  9. Is it all ticket, no pay at the gate for 'Well fans ?
  10. My feelings exactly, chief. I'm not usually one to be negative on prediction threads ( I did tip 'Well to get past Steaua Bucharest ) but against the Old Firm it's always a big ask for any side. Need to play well and have a bit of luck, let's hope you can make tomorrow one such day.
  11. The young lady will knock them dead.
  12. Good on her, that's a big step for one so young. I wouldn't have had the confidence to move to London at such a young age. Some top players you have there.
  13. Indeedy, very well done to the U13's. Great effort and well done to yourself, Angie, and the other coaches who give their time to help them. I'm sure they appreciate it. How does the scholarship work ? Has Emily moved down to London ? Good to know ladies football is moving on quickly. I caught a bit of the European Championships final - the Germans hammered the English ladies 6-2 and the standard was very high.
  14. Yeah ? How did that come about. Apologies for for sidetracking the topic, folks, just being nosy
  15. All Manchester's good guys do. Leave City to Little and Large
  16. I'll be thrilled if you're right, it would a superb result. By the way, have you been to any Mod nights in Manchester ?
  17. Forgot to ask you about this comment at the time , Angie. I'm the wrong side of thirty now and the old memory isn't what it once was . Is young Emily professional then, moving down to Arsenal ? Is there a pro game in ladies football ?
  18. Dropped him a couple of times for lateness, I seem to recall. Looked like he had the world at his feet as a youngster at Celtic. Looked like a little boy lost at United.
  19. Old teams of Fir Park. I forgot to mention this last night. Was looking through some old programmes the mrs has of her dad's, there's a full set from 1964-65. Be interested to know the recollections of older fans of the team of Wyllie Delaney McCallum R Aitken Martis McCallum W Goakley McBride Donnachie Weir Hume Seems the team was struggling near the foot of the table that season. What was the team like generally in that era ?
  20. That's fandom taken to it's limits, mate. Respect is due.
  21. No deal, mate. Do you think I'm putting money on Rangers ??? That's news to me. Like who ? I don't recall having problems with anyone except for eddiemunster, and I'm certainly not unique in that. What arguments are these ? 99 percent of folk on this forum I enjoy talking to and never have a problem. I certainly don't think of myself as difficult. Edit - Actually, I think I was a bit short with young Robyn yesterday who asked a perfectly reasonable question. If you're about, apologies if I was off hand, Robyn. The nonsense of a certain individual had put me in a mood, but it was my own fault for taking the bait. Should have known better.

Good tactic of Gannon's to challenge his players to produce a cup run, David. The league title isn't realisitic but a cup run - with a bit of luck in the draw - will get the place buzzing. The more I learn of Gannon the higher my regard for him. He certainly knows what he's doing.

Good effort using those prices for the game, and not a bad draw. Chance of a cup run ?
  24. Actually haggis you're spot on, poor choice of word by me. I think the final score will probably make it look comfortable in their favour because I'm fatalistic where the Old Firm are involved. There seems to be a rule in Scotland that nobody is allowed to beat them, and the officials invariably play their part in it. There's also the very young 'Well team up against Rangers' experience. We'll see, perhaps a pleasant surprise awaits.
  25. All are entitled to have their say, regardless of the message, and, whilst I hope I am wrong, I predict an easy Rangers win on Saturday which, even if I am right , has no bearing on what happens to Manchester united in London. 'Well fan should know that. Mon the Steelmen and the Red Devils, as always
