  1. I was only 13 at the time but it's still the most fans I've witnessed at Fir Park. I was wedged in behind the goals in the South terracing and at times struggled to stay upright. Attendance figures v the Old Firm may show bigger crowds but for me this felt much more crammed. Anybody got a link to the match highlights? I would love to see them again.
  2. I'll have my thermals on, pity I can't say the same about our park.
  3. Goals are on tonights Sportscene!
  4. Well done lads, a professional performance from what could have been a tricky tie if we had not gone about it in the proper manner. I'm certain the old Malpas side would have lost this one!
  5. Not at the game Pie? I would have though this was are near as you would get to a home game.
  6. Good luck Motherwell. Just don't f**k it!
  7. I will be shocked if we manage to get anyone in. As usual we leave it until the final day, a day we also have a match as well. If McGhee has one failing it's his ability to sort out transfers and loans for players. It would not surprise me if by 5pm tonight we still have the same squad with no new faces. McGhee says that he only needs to make a call and a player will be available on loan. Over to you Mark.
  8. It would have been daylight robbery had we not at least taken a point from today's game. Murphy's miss looked a shocker mind you. And if we are to make the top six these are the sort of chances we need to put away.
  9. He would probably arse up more than he scored! The name Tam 'McAnus' would probably suit him better!
  10. Certainly not afraid too shoot. Check out the last goal on the youtube clip. McManus Goal for Rapids
  11. A good bit of business considering he's out of contract in the summer. Thanks for all the goals Chris and good luck in the future.
  12. Nail on the head Ricky. As he's a striker I'm surprised more at Porters miss, as he has been playing well of late. I would have put my mortgage on him scoring that one especially with his head.
  13. You've taken that too far. You'll be bringing back mullets and dodgy perms next.
  14. Very true! So called smaller teams have managed to retain their traditional kit, I really don't see why we can't. We have done it in the past with the printed hoop on our Pony and Matchwinner kits. Come on Bukta you know it makes sense.
  15. I think we have a clear winner for the Best Club Home Shirt 2008! 1. Atletico Mineiro (91.0%, 1,369 Votes) 2. Motherwell (6.0%, 95 Votes)
  16. IMHO the worst colour offender was this Adidas effort from seasons 1979-82. To say I was shocked at Adidas's interpretation of 'Amber' would be puting it mildly. This was the most yellow I have seen our shirt. Surely Adidas must have been told that we play in Amber not canary yellow. At least in recent times we have attempted to stay faithful to our true colours thank god. It's only when you put the yellow shirts against the more amber that you really notice the difference.
  17. Yeah there seems to have been a late surge from Mineiro fans, they now have 53% of the vote with us on 37%.
  18. 1-0, Shocking! I hope our then manager George Stevenson was sacked on the spot or at least had the decency to resign.
  19. He also should have played more for Scotland but I think his argumentative side put payed to that. Kris Boyd anyone?
  20. We sure did as this picture from 1977 on the SNS website clearly shows. A much better strip than our current white one in my humble opinion.
  21. Not sure but the 1953-1954 season wasn't too shabby... Motherwell 3 - 1 Dundee United Dundee United 0 - 5 Motherwell Motherwell 12 (twelve) - 1 Dundee United
  22. Here's to another 3 in the second half.
  23. Dundee United, third force your having a laugh! 3-0
