  2. Sometimes I, fantasise, That the 'Well play Barcelona, Or we end up going to Roma, Don't these times, fill your eyes, If the 'Well played Man United, The whole town would be excited... Ohhhh, ohhh....
  3. Al's got a point in that although it is aimed at anyone and everyone that fancies it, not everyone likes Stone Roses, that's fair enough. Way I see it is its still a Motherwell t-shirt, with "Made of Steel" on it, based around the fact the 'Well song up that side of the East stand is a re-write of the chorus of "Made of Stone". It's claret and amber with a bit of history in the blue in there, and has the teams name on it. Clever if you ask me.
  4. I love and loathe watching that video in equal measures. In true Motherwell style, a heroic failure. Anyone getting excited at the Euro trip though?
  5. Your right, it wasn't allowed at Hearts. However, that was a straight up police decision and was one that the club was quick to ridicule and solve. This United issue is completely different in that it is entirely down to their club. Each week the drum's presence is discussed alongside any displays or the likes at a pre-ops meeting with security staff, and is then approved by authorities and clubs respectively. Dundee United, as stated above, are the only club in the country to go against police approval and shut down away fans completely. From what I can see Dundee United fans are completely pissed off with the club and their opinion of their head of security isn't too clever to say the least. Appears even they have had various things knocked back, including a display vs Rangers in the cup earlier in the season. I just don't understand how a club claiming to be in financial trouble can so readily turn away fans?! The mind boggles. .

    Smoke Bombs

Several things I'd say on this matter. First and foremost I'll start with the stewarding. On arrival to Dingwall the police could not have been more helpful, wishing the first fans to arrive a good day and directing the fans to the closest and best pubs for away fans. Understandably after a long journey up and time spent in a pub there were going to be drunken fans, but at the end of the day en route to the match there was absolutely no disorder, very little 'exceedingly' drunk individuals nor was there likely to be inside the stadium. There were a number of foreign fans from clubs in Finland, France, Norway and Denmark in attendance all of which were astonished at the level of stewarding. Several of these fans whom had travelled thousands of miles to attend the game were declined entry on the grounds some 50 year old women stewards believed them to be drunk. One of which has travelled to Germany, every ground in France, to Norway & England amongst several 'Well games... He was refused entry for the first time in his life. Now for me this was the most ridiculous part of the day is that these guys were on holiday, don't speak exemplary English and therefore could not argue their case. Attempts to fight the corner of fans denied entry went in vein as we know, and I counted 18 individuals being refused entry. Less than a handful of which I'd determine to be too drunk. Those who argued would've otherwise entered the ground trouble free but as a result of their efforts to have these fans see the match, they were sent packing also. I have never seen fans treated in this manner and when I myself questioned police, they too agreed the stewarding was over the top but were not in a position to contradict them. It is at this stage where I would ask, where was our safety officer, why were the Fir Park stewards deployed to the gate doing sweet F'A about what was going on and most importantly, where was the mention of this in the club statement? I acknowledge that the smoke canisters in the stadium are in disagreement to stadium rules, and those who let them off leave themselves in a precarious position when choosing to do so and I fully accept stewarding will change as a result. However, much of the damage was done by the time the smoke was used. My biggest gripe is the use of the term "embarrassing" in what is a poorly worded knee jerk reaction statement. I would argue the contrary of the guys involved on bringing atmosphere to Fir Park and beyond. Without their passion and noise our support is dead and could be classed up there with as soulless as Accies, Inverness or St Mirren. One incident of smoke canisters most likely not used by any of the main heads up the end of the East does not change the long way the support has come, nor does it change the value these fans bring to our club. I most certainly wouldn't call the only section in the stadium that consistently closes in on a sell out an embarrassment, but on you go MFC, see where that gets you.
  7. Yes, it'll be there tomorrow.
  8. This has to be the chant at Ibrox.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYeajoizdm0&feature=youtube_gdata_player Fuckin' Zombies.
  9. I knew at the set up and throughout the conversations held about designs that it would look brilliant, but when I saw the first picture appear last night, it blew me away. The video there also really shows how impressive the response to Celtic was. Massive thanks to every fan who made such a special and spectacular start to the Cup Final possible. Pitty it wasn't to be.

Have to admit both strips have really appealed to me this season, yet I have still to even buy the home effort due to comments on quality and the likes. I will probably still end up giving in and getting both over the coming months because they are very decent looking kits, so well done to those involved in design! Might have been mentioned elsewhere but are both home and away strips for 09/10 and 10/11? or is it another one season wonder?
  16. I fully respect you have an opinion, and are wholeheartedly rightful to digress it. However when you post utter shit and know absolutly nothing about our group and it's members, it rather offends me. What is that supposed to mean exactly? Fiver at the start of the season to have a laugh. I'll have you know I for one have not missed a game this season, spending well into the hundreds to attend each game. Be it Home or Away, including abroad this season, I have been there, along with a good part of the group, who are just as passionate as any other Motherwell fan. So before you make a sweep stating comment, try and find out the facts first. Wee? I don't know about yourself, but im 6ft, and last time I checked, thats no too wee. However yes there are wee guys around 14 who give it the big 'un at games, and sit next to the group, but it doesn't mean there members or that we support their actions. Yet, we don't and can't dictate what our fans do. The members of our group range from age 16 to 21. So again look into what your posting about other fans before you post something that the group takes offence to. What makes you think in a group now celebrating it's 2nd year together trying to bring back atmosphere and colour, that we are going to listen to the guy who has a constant dig at us on here, but doesn't ever voice his opinion to members at games? Rant returned.
  17. Have to say how weird it was not being able to read away on here the last few weeks. 'Well in gaag, cheers for getting the site back up!
