  1. Right guys as Dee has posted previously we will be needing a hand with the setting up of the card etc at Hampden. We have been allowed access to Hampden on Friday so to allow this to happen the club have kindly agreed to use the two club minibuses to transport people from FP to Hampden and back. The arrangements is to meet at FP at around 12.20 so that we can get into Hampden for 1 and set things set up as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately due to health and safety and the level of increased work it would cause by opening toilets etc only males are required to help out (message Dee just gave me). Looking for around 20 helpers if possible so if you could post up here if you are willing and able to help that would be appreciated so that we can gauge numbers.

I've got the whole week off work and no plans for Friday afternoon. Stay in Paisley so I'd likely just meet you at Hampden. Fire me an email at gmcg52@hotmail.com and let me know.

  2. Think me and the future father in law will be heading to one of the 'Spoons in the City Centre early. Think it was the Crystal Palace we were in for the CIS Semi and they were fine with Footie Colours.

  3. Bit miffed at the club at the moment.

Opted for a ST last Tuesday and two Cup Final tickets. Cup Final money came off there and then which was fine. I was told that I would be contacted when they were going to be taking the £270 for the Season Ticket from me, but it would be a "good couple of weeks".

Checked my bank balance today to find myself nearly £300 short of where I thought I was. Check my statement to see £270 charged by Motherwell Football Club. Fortunately I had plenty in my account but I've had no phonecall to either of the numbers I gave them and no email to say they were taking the money out of my account.

Hasn't left me with any additional charges or anything but its a bit pish to tell me you will contact me before hand and then not do it.

  4. We are down tae the last 2000 of the 16000 allocation I heard.

How many ST holders did we have prior to this week? 14000 tickets works out at 3,500 ST holders using their full allocation. As we know thats not true surely that must mean we now have at least 4,500 ST holders?

  5. Bought a season ticket and 2 Cup Final tickets today. Took me 10 minutes tops, including filling in both forms. From talking to them got the impression that sales have dropped right off today.

"Scotland (SCO): Motherwell play Celtic in the Scottish Cup final. If Motherwell win the Scottish Cup, they will enter at the 3rd Qualifying round, however if they lose, they get the lowest available place in the Europa League, which is in the 2nd Qualifying round currently reserved for the 3rd place team in the Scottish Premier League. Celtic are guaranteed finishing either 1st or 2nd in the League, therefore if Celtic win the cup, the CW spot will not be needed and will be given to the 3rd placed team in the League instead."

So we win, same entry stage as Aalesund last year, if we lose and Celtic win the league, we enter at Breidablik stage.

As for the dates, I guess they will probably be much the same as last summer give or take (we played our first game against Breidablik on Thursday, 15 July). However there is talk the SPL will start 2-3 weeks earlier than this season, however I don't know if that has been rubber stamped yet or planned for 2012-13.

See reading the bit in bold, that sounds as if we are in Europe regardless. The only thing that seems to be up for grabs is whether we go in the 2nd Qualifying Round (If we lose the cup) or the 3rd (if we win). It doesn't say that Celtic either need to win or lose the league. Or am I totally missing the point there?

  7. Dad was a Rangers fan so I was "brought up" a Rangers fan until I was about 13/14. When I was old enough to make my own mind up I was sick and tired of the sectarian aspect of it all so gave up on Scottish Fitba altogether. Which is the reason I became a Birmingham fan as I started to watch the English game more.

Then I went to my first 'Well game with my future wife's dad and I was hooked.

  8. i feel ashamed of myself, i have done nothing but sing his praises for the last year, feel like i have just been shafted.

    Sums up everything perfectly.

I remember Broony as Scotland manager as I was growing up, so when I found out he was getting the job with us I was delighted. Never thought he'd be the type to shaft us like this.
